This study aimed to investigate the beneficial role of Millettia ferruginea extract (MF) in preventing cisplatin (Cisp) induced nephrotoxicity in rats. A total of 55 metabolites were identified using LC-MS analysis. The in vivo results indicated that MF pretreatment for 4 weeks (20 mg/kg b.w.) remarkably attenuated the altered renal biomarkers by decreasing the levels of plasma creatinine, urea, and uric acid when compared to the Cisp-group. The nephroprotective capacity of MF was further strengthened by histopathological observations, where Cisp + MF treated rats showed lower number of inflammatory cells and tubular degenerative changes than the Cisp-group. The harmful effects of cisplatin on renal oxidative stress indicators (MDA, SOD, CAT, and GPx), were restored by the treatment of MF. In addition, the reduction of inflammatory markers (IL-6 and TNF-α), associated with alleviating DNA fragmentation, highlighted the preventive effect of MF in kidney tissue. Additionally, MF components presented lower binding energies when docked into the active site of TNF-α and IL-6. The present findings concluded that M. ferruginea extract exhibited nephroprotective potential, which may be attributed to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Further work is recommended to confirm the current results, explore the involved mechanism of action, and determine the therapeutic doses and time.  相似文献

Comparison of equilibrium and nonequilibrium models of a CSTR with total condenser focused on the multiple steady states and dynamic behaviour was carried out. The steady-state behaviour of the model system, MTBE synthesis from methanol and isobutene in a reactive distillation column, was studied in terms of the input parameters, i. e. feed flow rate of methanol or butenes, reflux ratio, and mass of catalyst. The dynamic behaviour of the system during the start-up was investigated and perturbations of manipulated variables were found to cause transitions between the parallel steady states. The objective of this study was to examine some fundamental factors involved in the design and construction of the anode magnetron dc glow discharge processes as well as its performance in plasma cleaning and polymerization. Those advantages of anode magnetron include the capability of the magnetron to operate at low pressure, as well as decreasing the thickness of cathode dark space, i.e., the negative glow which contains a higher concentration of ions and active species was more closely to the cathode surface, which makes the plasma surface cleaning and polymerization an effective and uniform processes. The deposition rate at a given discharge power is increased by the presence of anode magnetrons, and is also much higher relative to rf and af. The refractive index of dc plasma film at a given polymer thickness (such as TMS, 70 nm, RI: 2.4) is higher than rf, af, and cascade arc plasma (RI: 1.6–1.7).  相似文献

Carbon-based tubular materials have sparked a great interest in future electronics and optoelectronics device applications. In this work, we computationally studied the mechanical properties of nanotubes generated from popgraphene (PopNTs). Popgraphene is a 2D carbon allotrope composed of 5-8-5 rings. We carried out fully atomistic reactive (ReaxFF) molecular dynamics for PopNTs of different chiralities ( and ) and/or diameters and at different temperatures (from 300 up to 1200 K). Results showed that the tubes are thermally stable (at least up to 1200 K). All tubes presented stress/strain curves with a quasi-linear behavior followed by an abrupt drop of stress values. Interestingly, armchair-like PopNTs ( ) can stand a higher strain load before fracturing when contrasted to the zigzag-like ones ( ). Moreover, it was obtained that Young's modulus (YMod) (750–900 GPa) and ultimate strength (σUS) (120–150 GPa) values are similar to the ones reported for conventional armchair and zigzag carbon nanotubes. YMod values obtained for PopNTs are not significantly temperature-dependent. While the σUS values for the showed a quasi-linear dependence with the temperature, the exhibited no clear trends.  相似文献

Abstract

Solid solutions Ca1-xGdxF2+x for 3 × 10?7≤ x ≤10?1 have been studied by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and ionic thermal currents (ITC). The EPR experiments show the presence of two single-ion sites a cubic and a tetragonal Gd3+ center which co-exist with comparable abundances for intermediate impurity concentrations. The cubic center predominates at very low and high concentrations. Seven different relaxation processes have been identified from the ITC spectra and the variation of their intensity vs. x was measured. The absolute concentrations of the cubic and nn Gd3+ dipoles were calculated. The scavenging of interstitial fluorines by the neutral clusters explains both the abundance of cubic sites at high concentration and the variety of orientable clusters detected by ITC.  相似文献

The boundary of the zone in which sputtered atoms are thermalized in the substrate–target drift space during the ion-plasma magnetron deposition of films is determined theoretically and experimentally. A comparison of the thicknesses of films deposited on the front and back sides of substrates situated at different distances from the target makes it possible to divide the flow of atoms sputtered toward substrates into direct and diffusion flows and to determine the dimensions of the spatial zone in which sputtered atoms are thermalized. The experimental data are in quantitative agreement with the results of a statistical simulation of the thermalization process of atomic particles during the ion-plasma deposition. This simulation enables optimization of the technology of defect-free growth of films with uniform thickness on substrates with complex 3D configuration.  相似文献

Two nematic liquid crystal (LC) monomers containing double bonds in the side chain were designed and synthesised. Length of the side groups varied from 1 to 2 methylene units. The side-chain polymers were synthesised by hydrosilylation reaction. The molecular structures of the intermediates and the LC monomers were characterised by Fourier transform infrared, elemental analysis and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The thermal phase behaviour of the monomers and polymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and polar optical microscopy coupled with hot stage. The LC monomers showed only one nematic mesophase in the cooling process. And, the two polymers exhibit an enantiotroppic nematic mesophase either in the heating or in the cooling process.  相似文献

A thin copper foil placed diagonally in a cylindrical copper hollow cathode undergoes fast erosion caused by cathode sputtering. Changes in the foil shape are related to current distribution along the hollow cathode axis. The experimental results aid in understanding the increase in spectral lines intensities emitted from conical bottom hollow cathode lamps.  相似文献
