A quantum Langevin equation for the amplitudes of the collective modes in Bose–Einstein condensate is derived. The collective modes are coupled to a thermal reservoir of quasi-particles, whose elimination leads to the quantum Langevin equation. Bose–Einstein condensed atomic gases are a new class of quantum fluids. They are produced by cooling a dilute atomic gas to nanokelvin temperatures using laser and evaporative cooling techniques. The study of these quantum gases has become an interdisciplinary field of atomic and condensed matter physics. Topics of many-body physics can now be studied with the methods of atomic physics. Many long-standing predictions of the theory of the weakly interacting Bose gas have been verified, including thermodynamic properties of the phase transition and dynamic properties such as shape oscillations and sound propagation. Stimulated light scattering was used to determine the dynamic structure factor both in the phonon and free-particle regime. Atomic Bose condensates show a variety of novel phenomena which include multi-component spinor condensates, magnetic domain formation, miscibility and immiscibility of quantum fluids, and finite-size effects. 相似文献

The interference of the two-component Bose-Einstein condensates with a coupling drive in the presence of the dissipation is studied. We find that when the two-component Bose-Einstein condensates are initially in the coherent states, for the smaller dissipation parameters compared with that of the rf frequency ωrf, the interference intensity exhibits damply oscillation behavior, whereas when the dissipation parameters are larger than that of the ωrf, the interference intensity exhibits a fast attenuation behavior. As a comparison, the interference intensity in the absence of the dissipation is also studied. Based on Dyson-Schwinger Equations (DSEs) in the “rainbow“ approximation, the dependence of quark effective mass on gluon propagator is investigated by use of three different phenomenological gluon propagators with two parameters, the strength parameter x and range parameter △. Our theoretical calculations for the quark effective mass Mf(p2), defined by the self-energy functions Af(p2) and Bf(p2) of the DSEs, show that the dynamically running quark effective mass is strongly dependent on gluon propagator. Therefore, because gluon propagator is completely unknown,the quark effective mass cannot be exactly determined theoretically. 相似文献

We investigate the spectrum and decay rates of charmonium states within the framework of the non relativistic quark model by employing a Coulomb like potential from the perturbative one gluon exchange and the linear confining potential along with the potential derived from instanton vacuum to account for the hyperfine mass splitting of charmonium states in variational approach. We predict radiative E1, M1, two-photon, lepton and two-gluon decay rates of low lying charmonium states. In higher dimensions, so far, both attractive and repulsive trapless Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) have been stabilized with the help of temporal or spatial management of the two-body contact interaction. However, in the absence of nonlinear management, up to now, there is no model to stabilize the repulsive, trapless BECs at higher dimensions. Hence, in the present study, we tried to stabilize the same and achieved with help of the interplay between three-body and higher-order interactions. In addition, we show that there is an enhancement of the stability of attractive, trapless BECs due to the inclusion of the higher-order interaction along with the two- and three-body interactions. Further, our analytical predictions are corroborated with 4th order Runge-Kutta and split-step Crank-Nicholson numerical results. 相似文献
