The application of the G-SERFph pulse sequence is presented on enantiomeric mixtures dissolved in a chiral liquid crystal. It aims at editing, within one single 2D spectrum, every proton coupling which is experienced by a given proton site in the molecule, and leads to real phased T-edited spectroscopy (T=J+2D). This NMR experiment is based on the combination of homonuclear semi-selective refocusing techniques with a spatial frequency encoding of the sample. This approach, which consists in handling selectively each coupling in separate cross sections of the sample, is applied to the visualization of enantiomers dissolved in a chiral liquid crystalline phase. Advantages and limits of this methodology are widely discussed.  相似文献

We investigate the behavior of a two-level quantum system in contact with a classical heat bath, e.g., a solute particle with internal degrees of freedom immersed in a solvent of massive particles. Using a combination of analytical and numerical methods, we obtain precise information about localization, time-displaced correlation functions, and the frequency-dependent susceptibility of such solute particles. We find that these quantities can have a strong dependence on the density of the solvent fluid, with the maximum changes from the behavior of the corresponding isolated quantum system occurring in many cases at very low densities. We compare the exact results with those obtained by path integral Monte Carlo. There is good agreement with the imaginary time correlations, but analytic continuation to real time proves elusive: even with the best numerical data on the former, we can only get very gross features of the latter.  相似文献

The coagulation frequency is the key ingredient in the population balance (Smoluchowski) equation of coagulation kinetics. An inverse problem is formulated to extract the coagulation frequency from transient size distributions when these distributions are self-similar. Two numerical examples illustrate the procedure. The first demonstrates the inverse problem for the recovery of singular coagulation frequencies, while the second shows the procedure when self-similarity is approximate. Transient droplet coagulation experiments in a turbulent flow field have been performed. The resulting size distributions are observed to be self-similar. The inverse problem is used to determine the drop coagulation frequency. This frequency shows significant deviation from the coagulation frequencies derived from simple models of drop-drop interactions in a turbulent flow field.  相似文献

In this correspondence, micro-genetic algorithm (MGA) application results for optimizing the performance of electronic feedback of a laser diode are presented. The goal of optimization is to find the maximum bandwidth of the laser diode with electronic feedback used in fiber optic digital communication. A numerical analysis of the system theory of the single-mode laser diode to obtain numerical results of the gain, the pulse response, and the harmonic distortion for electronic feedback is also presented. The dependence of the system gain on the feedback gain and delay is examined. The pulse response is studied and it is shown that a transmission rate over 1 Gbyte/s can be achieved.  相似文献

The interband transitions in a narrow-band InSb quantum spherical layer are studied theoretically within the framework of the spherical rotator model. The electron and light-hole dispersions are described using the two-band Kane approximation, while for heavy holes the standard dispersion is considered. The absorption coefficients for transitions between conduction and lighthole, heavy-hole bands are calculated. The selection rules and threshold absorption frequencies are determined. It is shown that in the presence of a weak electric field the selection rules and threshold absorption frequencies for dipole transitions are modified.  相似文献

A new mechanism to induce polarization hole burning effect in Er-doped fiber ring lasers is presented. By using this effect, incorporating with the counter-propagation of the two light beams, the inhomogeneous in the gain medium broadening was significantly increased, and thus a stable dual-frequency Er-doped fiber ring laser operating in single longitudinal mode and single-frequency was demonstrated. The measurement of radial directional natural frequency and damping ratio in a vehicle tire has been studied. Natural frequencies and damping ratios in the radial direction of various tires, from passenger car tires to truck bus tires, are reported. The radial direction modal parameters of tires subjected to different levels of inflation pressure, have been determined by using a frequency response function method. To obtain the theoretical natural frequency and mode shape, the plane vibration of a tire has been modeled as though it were that of a circular beam. By using the Tielking method that is based on Hamilton’s principle, theoretical results have been determined by considering the rotational velocity, tangential and radial stiffness, radial directional velocity and tension force which is due to tire inflation pressure. The results show that experimental conditions can be considered as the parameters that shift the natural frequency and damping ratio.  相似文献

A tellurite glass fiber with a high Brillouin gain was employed for distributed strain measurement with Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry (BOCDR). First, the spatial resolution of BOCDR was evaluated using the tellurite fiber. With the high Brillouin gain of the fiber, it was confirmed clearly in the experiment that the spatial resolution is limited by the Rayleigh scattering-induced noise. Then, the dependence of the Brillouin frequency shift (BFS) on strain in the tellurite fiber was investigated, showing a negative dependence with a coefficient of −0.023 MHz/με. Using this tellurite fiber, the distribution of the BFS around a 1-cm strain-applied section was successfully measured with BOCDR of a nominal spatial resolution of 6 mm.  相似文献
