In the present work, a simple large eddy simulation (LES)-based lattice Boltz- mann model (LBM) is developed for thermal turbulence research. This model is validated by some benchmark tests. The numerical results demonstrate the good performance of the present model for turbulent buoyant flow simulation.  相似文献

This paper constitutes the second part of our experimental study of the thermo-mechanical behavior of superelastic NiTi shape memory alloy cables. Part I introduced the fundamental, room temperature, tensile responses of two cable designs (7 × 7 right regular lay, and 1 × 27 alternating lay). In Part II, each cable behavior is studied further by breaking down the response into the contributions of its hierarchical subcomponents. Selected wire strands were extracted from the two cable constructions, and their quasi-static tension responses were measured using the same experimental setup of Part I. Consistent with the shallow wire helix angles in the 7 × 7 construction, the force–elongation responses of the core wire, 1 × 7 core strand and full 7 × 7 cable were similar on a normalized basis, with only a slight decrease in transformation force plateaus and slight increase in plateau strains in this specimen sequence. By contrast, each successive 1 × 27 component (1 × 6 core strand, 1 × 15 strand, and full cable) included an additional outer layer of wires with a larger number of wires, greater helix radius, and deeper helix angle, so the normalized axial load responses became significantly more compliant. Each specimen in the sequence also exhibited progressively larger strains at failure, reaching 40% strain in the full 1 × 27 cable.Stress-induced phase transformations involved localized strain/temperature and front propagation in all of the tested 7 × 7 components but none of the 1 × 27 components aside from the 1 × 27 core wire. Stereo digital image correlation measurements revealed finer features within a global transformation front of the 1 × 7 core strand than the 7 × 7 cable, consisting of an staggered pattern of individual wire fronts that moved in lock-step during elongation. Although the 1 × 27 multi-layer strands exhibited temperature/strain localizations in a distributed pattern during transformations, the localizations did not propagate and their cause was traced back to contact indentations (stress concentrations) arising from the cable’s fabrication. The normalized axial torque responses of the multi-layer 1 × 27 components during transformation were distinctly non-monotonic and complex, due to the alternating handedness of the layers. Force and torque contributions of individual wire layers were deduced by subtracting 1 × 27 component responses, which helped to clarify the transformation kinetics within each layer and explain the unusual force and torque undulations seen in the 1 × 27 cable response of Part I.  相似文献

本文回顾城市大气污染扩散的研究实践与进展, 介绍城市大气环境流动的特点和用现代计算流体力学手段开展城市大气环境的大涡模拟研究方法, 包括: 数学模型, 控制方程、亚网格湍流模式、定解条件及其数值方法. 其中, 重点介绍中尺度到微尺度的耦合模型与适用于复杂城市下垫面(满足大涡模拟分辨率要求且计算量较小)的组合模型;并给出实际算例和结果分析, 包括准确度的统计估算和湍流特性等. 最后, 讨论城市大气环境数值模拟方法进一步改进的方向和城市大气环境流动与污染物扩散数值研究应重点关注的几个问题.  相似文献

A brief review of recent progress in the field of computational aeroacoustics (CAA) is proposed. This paper is complementary to the previous reviews of Tam [(1995a) “Computational aeroacoustics: issues and methods”, AIAA J. 33(10), 1788–1796], Lele [(1997) “Computational Aeroacoustics: a review”, AIAA Paper 97–0018, 35th Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, Reno, Nevada] and Glegg [(1999) “Recent advances aeroacoustics: the influence of computational fluid dynamics”, 6th International Congress on Sound and Vibration, Copenhagen, Danemark, 5–8 July, 43–58] on advances in CAA. After a short introduction concerning the current motivations of jet noise studies, connections between computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and CAA using hybrid approaches are discussed in the first part. The most spectacular advances are probably provided by the direct computation of jet noise, and some recent results are shown in the second part.  相似文献

Axisymmetric geometries can be found in many practical flow applications. In the attempt to predict these flows numerically, RANS flow solvers can decrease the computational efforts dramatically by taking this axisymmetry into account and by computing only a pie-segment of the flow. However, the extension of the concept of axisymmetric flows to LES computations is not straightforward, since the boundary conditions on the axis of symmetry are altering the instantaneous flow field. In this study, the influence of the introduction of an axis of symmetry to LES computations is assessed by computations of a flow with and without swirl over an axisymmetric expansion. The LES computations are performed on a full three-dimensional and a 90° segment of the geometry. The results are compared and the influence of the axis put into relation with the gain in computational costs.  相似文献

Marine engineers face a challenging problem when designing recessed cavities that require perforated covers. Under certain geometric and kinematic conditions, the separated shear layers directly above the perforations support the spatial maturity of periodic large-scale structures. Intermittent spoilers attenuate the structure's maturity by interrupting communication between the shear layer and the adjacent inner cavity, but this success fails during transient flow conditions. In the far-field, the corresponding noise pulse is easily detectable. Evolutionary growth of the streamwise structures originates from small Kelvin–Helmholtz (K–H) waves within the shear layers just after separation and are sustained by a pressure feedback mechanism that occurs within the cavity itself. Herein, the resolved physics from large-eddy simulations along with the previous experimental evidence show analogous fundamental characteristics between the open and perforated covered cavities regardless of whether upstream separation is laminar or turbulent. These quantitative analogies are equally similar for lids perforated by staggered circular holes or slots that are tightly spaced in the streamwise direction. An alternative measure permits formation of the K–H waves, then successfully mitigates their streamwise growth by elongating the distance between perforations. This latter corrective measure reverses the mean resultant lid force to the preferred outboard direction.  相似文献

Large-eddy simulations of the flow field around twin three-dimensional impinging jets were carried out to simulate the near-ground hover configuration of a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. Both the impinging jet and the upwash caused by the collision of the wall jets are modeled in this study. The evolution of the vortical structures in the impinging jet flow field, due to the introduction of axisymmetric and azimuthal perturbations at the jet exit, has been investigated. The vortical structures formed in the jet shear layer due to azimuthal forcing, show significant three-dimensional vortex stretching effects when compared to the structures formed during axisymmetric forcing. Breakdown of the large-scale structures into smaller vortices also occurs much earlier during azimuthal forcing. When compared to the upwash formed during axisymmetric forcing, the azimuthally perturbed jet forms an upwash that is less coherent and results in a weaker upload or lift-off force on the aircraft undersurface. Comparison with available experimental data indicates good agreement for the centerline velocity decay, the wall pressure variation and the phase speed of the vortical structures.  相似文献

通过调查测得的数据分析了渔场水温的分布概况, 结果发现: 水平分布上, 无论冬夏, 渔场中北部始终存在1个低温区, 台湾暖流处(位置冬季偏东, 夏季偏西, 平均位置在124°E附近)存在高温水舌指向偏北, 冷暖水系交汇明显; 垂直分布上, 由于渔场岛屿众多, 海水混合作用强烈, 水温垂直梯度终年都很微弱, 即使在盛夏也很难形成强大的跃层.  相似文献

“海纹石”的矿物学及谱学特征研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
“海纹石”是具有蓝色条带的针钠钙石,是一种稀有的宝石材料,具有较好的市场前景。为查明其矿物学特征及成因,采用常规宝石学测试并结合X射线衍射(XRD)、傅里叶红外吸收光谱(FTIR)、拉曼光谱(Raman)、扫描电镜(SEM)及紫外-可见分光光度计(UV-Vis)等现代测试方法,对“海纹石”不同颜色部分的矿物成分及特征进行了深入分析。XRD,FTIR,Raman分析结果表明,“海纹石”的主要组成矿物为针钠钙石,并含有少量的方解石,与SEM分析结果较为一致。FTIR分析显示,“海纹石”白色部分在1 500 cm-1处出现一个明显的宽吸收带并伴有883和710 cm-1的吸收峰,表明含有少量方解石,而蓝色部分在该处没有此吸收。紫外可见吸收光谱分析显示蓝色部分在可见光区有640 nm宽吸收峰,表明可能含有微量元素Cu。“海纹石”白色和蓝色部分矿物组分的差异,表明两者可能形成于不同的地质环境。  相似文献
