It is conjectured that flavor mixing furnishes a universal mechanism for the spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry. The conjecture is proved explicitly for the mixing of two chiral N=1 supermultiplets and arguments for its general validity are given. That is an instance of the O?Raifeartaigh Lagrangian for which there is no tree-level nor perturbative breaking. Nonetheless, the dynamical breaking occurs due to the vacuum condensate, a mixing-induced nonperturbative effect that lifts the zero point energy.  相似文献

The stationary states of the kinetic spin-1 Blume-Capel (BC) model on the Bethe lattice are analyzed in detail in terms of recursion relations. The model is described using a Glauber-type stochastic dynamics in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field (h) and crystal field (D) interactions. The dynamic order parameter, the hysteresis loop area and the dynamic correlation are calculated. It is found that the magnetization oscillates around nonzero values at low temperatures (T) for the ferromagnetic (F) phase while it only oscillates around zero values at high temperatures for the paramagnetic (P) phase. There are regions of the phase space where the two solutions coexist. The dynamic phase diagrams are obtained on the (kT/J,h/J) and (kT/J,D/J) planes for the coordination number q=4. In addition to second-order and first-order phase transitions, dynamical tricritical points and triple points are also observed.  相似文献

The theoretical and analytical Radial Distribution Function (RDF) for non-polar mixtures is presented, and the estimation methods of model parameters (such as the minimum molecular diameter dii, mean calibration factor of volume βV and mean free path of relative motion λr,ij) are discussed. The calculated thermodynamic properties for He-H2 fluid mixtures by this RDF fit well with that of MC simulations and classical results from the Yukawa-type EOS, in which the Double Yukawa (DY) potential was used and the quantum effect was considered. Compared with the semi-empirical RDF expressions in references, the advantage of this theoretical and analytical RDF is that it can be used for all kinds of potential functions of non-polar molecules, and it covers a very wide range of temperatures and densities. The extensive practical application of this RDF for chemistry, physics and technology needs further investigation.  相似文献

The dependence of the phase diagrams on the random crystal field (RCF) is investigated for the spin-1 Blume-Capel (BC) model on the Bethe lattice. The calculations are carried out in terms of the recursion relations for the coordination number z=4 which corresponds to the square lattice. The model presents tricritical points which are observed at lower negative crystal fields and higher temperatures for higher probabilities p and which vanish at lower p’s. The effect of randomness is illustrated for p=0.5 and shown that it changes the phase diagrams drastically from random to non-random systems. The reentrant behavior is also observed for appropriate p values.  相似文献

We investigate the role of Casimir energy as a mechanism for brane stability in five-dimensional models with the fifth dimension compactified on an S1/Z2S1/Z2 orbifold, which includes the Randall–Sundrum two brane model (RS1). We employ a ζζ-function regularization technique utilizing the Schwinger proper time method and the Jacobi theta function identity to calculate the one-loop effective potential. We show that the combination of the Casimir energies of a scalar Higgs field, the three generations of Standard Model fermions and one additional massive non-SM scalar in the bulk produces a non-trivial minimum of the potential. In particular, we consider a scalar field with a coupling in the bulk to a Lorentz violating vector particle localized to the compactified dimension. Such a scalar may provide a natural means of fine tuning needed for stabilization of the brane separation. Finally, we briefly review the possibility that Casimir energy plays a role in generating the currently observed epoch of cosmological inflation by examining a simple five-dimensional anisotropic metric.  相似文献

Within the Closed Time Path (CTP) framework, we derive kinetic equations for particle distribution functions that describe leptogenesis in the presence of several lepton flavours. These flavours have different Standard-Model Yukawa couplings, which induce flavour-sensitive scattering processes and thermal dispersion relations. Kinetic equilibrium, which is rapidly established and maintained via gauge interactions, allows to simplify these equations to kinetic equations for the matrix of lepton charge densities. In performing this simplification, we notice that the rapid flavour-blind gauge interactions damp the flavour oscillations of the leptons. Leptogenesis turns out to be in the parametric regime where the flavour oscillations are overdamped and flavour decoherence is mainly induced by flavour sensitive scatterings. We solve the kinetic equations for the lepton number densities numerically and show that they interpolate between the unflavoured and the fully flavoured regimes within the intermediate parametric region, where neither of these limits is applicable.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a model-independent method to extract the resonance parameters on the lattice directly from the Euclidean 2-point correlation functions of the field operators at finite times. The method is tested in case of the two-point function of the Δ-resonance, calculated at one loop in Small Scale Expansion. Further, the method is applied to a 1+11+1-dimensional model with two coupled Ising spins and the results are compared with earlier ones obtained by using Lüscher's approach.  相似文献

Instantonic theories are quantum field theories where all correlators are determined by integrals over the finite-dimensional space (space of generalized instantons). We consider novel geometrical observables in instantonic topological quantum mechanics that are strikingly different from standard evaluation observables. These observables allow jumps of special type for the trajectory (at the point of insertion of such observables). They do not (anti)commute with evaluation observables and raise the dimension of the space of allowed configurations, while the evaluation observables lower this dimension. We study these observables in geometric and operator formalisms. Simple examples are explicitly computed; they depend on the linking of points.  相似文献
