This paper presents an application in the automotive industry where a combination of electronic speckle-pattern interferometry and laser doppler velocimetry were used at a critical stage in the design process of an internal combustion engine. Combined deformation and surface relief measurements were used to study the phase and amplitude of deformation of a vibrating engine. The relief data was combined with the interferometer geometry and used to geometrically correct the deformation data, in an effort to improve accuracy. The measurements allowed rapid identification and quantification of design weaknesses, particularly those causing undesirable resonances. This led to a significant reduction in the design time and lowering of costs, when compared with existing design optimisation methods.  相似文献

We propose a quantum-mechanical Brayton engine model that works between two superposed states, employing a single particle confined in an arbitrary power-law trap as the working substance. Applying the superposition principle, we obtain the explicit expressions of the power and efficiency, and find that the efficiency at maximum power is bounded from above by the function:η+ =θ/(θ+ 1), with being a potential-dependent exponent.  相似文献

本文利用三维燃烧模型对CNG发动机的燃烧过程进行数值模拟,研究过量空气系数的循环变动对CNG发动机火核形成和发展及燃烧各阶段的影响。研究结果显示,过量空气系数的变动对初始火核参数的影响非常小,对燃烧过程三个阶段的影响程度也不同。主燃烧阶段受过量空气系数的变动的影响最大,火核形成和发展阶段受过量空气系数的变动的影响很小。过量空气系数的变动不是火核形成和发展产生变动的主要原因。  相似文献

Based on the state equation of an ideal quantum gas, the regenerative loss of a Stirling engine cycle working with an ideal quantum gas is calculated. Thermal efficiency of the cycle is derived. Furthermore, under the condition of quantum degeneracy, several special thermal efficiencies are discussed. Ratios of thermal efficiencies versus the temperature ratio and volume ratio of the cycle are made. It is found that the thermal efficiency of the cycle not only depends on high and low temperatures but also on maximum and minimum volumes. In a classical gas state the thermal efficiency of the cycle is equal to that of the Carnot cycle. In an ideal quantum gas state the thermal efficiency of the cycle is smaller than that of the Carnot cycle. This will be significant for deeper understanding of the gas Stirling engine cycle.  相似文献

本文通过实验研究了脉冲爆震发动机的直径对其性能的影响.实验结果表明;当爆震室的直径增大时,爆震波压力波形相似,平均峰值压力比较接近,且比冲基本保持不变,而推力则随爆震室直径的增大而增大。实验曲线表明爆震室内的流动具有自相似性,从而为建立尺寸律提供了实验依据.本文中比冲和平均推力是利用摆动原理测量的,并与由作用在推力壁上的压力计算得出的比冲和平均推力的理论值和实验值进行了比较,结果基本吻合,说明该测量方法可行.  相似文献

本文研究了可变涡流对四气门发动机稀薄燃烧特性的影响情况。在稀薄燃烧情况下,发动机负荷大小对CO和HC排放的影响不大,对NOx排放的影响主要表现在对13~17空燃比范围内NOx排放的影响,负荷越大,NOx排放越大;对空燃比小于13或大于17以后的NOx排放影响较小。阀片位置对发动机排放特性的影响较小,对发动机的燃油经济性存在一定影响,这是因为不同阀片位置的进气涡流比不同所致,同时也表明较强的涡流运动对燃油经济性更有利。涡流运动在不同转速条件下对发动机燃油经济性的影响情况不同,它更有利于改善低速条件下的燃油经济性。  相似文献

Here, we propose both a comprehensive chemical mechanism and a reduced mechanism for a three-dimensional combustion simulation, describing the formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), in a direct-injection diesel engine. A soot model based on the reduced mechanism and a method of moments is also presented. The turbulent diffusion flame and PAH formation in the diesel engine were modelled using the reduced mechanism based on the detailed mechanism using a fixed wall temperature as a boundary condition. The spatial distribution of PAH concentrations and the characteristic parameters for soot formation in the engine cylinder were obtained by coupling a detailed chemical kinetic model with the three-dimensional computational fluid dynamic (CFD) model. Comparison of the simulated results with limited experimental data shows that the chemical mechanisms and soot model are realistic and correctly describe the basic physics of diesel combustion but require further development to improve their accuracy.  相似文献

The novel electrohydrodynamically-assisted electrostatic precipitator (EHD ESP) was developed to suppress particle reentrainment for collection of low resistive diesel particulates. The collection efficiency was compared between vertically and horizontally oriented electrodes of the EHD ESP using 400 cc diesel engine. The particle size dependent collection efficiency was evaluated for the particle size ranging in 20 to 5000 nm using a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS) and a particle counter (PC). Both horizontally and vertically oriented EHD ESP showed an excellent suppression of particle reentrainment. However, the horizontally oriented electrode EHD ESP showed significantly improved for the particle size of 300–500 nm in comparison with vertically oriented electrode EHD ESP, resulting in more than 90% collection efficiency for all particle size range. The EHD ESP has high potential especially for highly concentrated marine diesel engine emission control.  相似文献

Quantum-size effects unavoidably produce imperfect-regeneration heat losses in irreversible isothermal expansion/compression cycles, leading to the less efficiency of micro engines. Here, we design a smallest quantum Stirling-like heat engine using a single trapped electron as the working substance. The quantum probabilities to determine the electronic position are constructed from the incoherent mixed ensemble. When the quantum well expands isothermally to double its size and an infinite delta-function potential barrier is inserted in the middle, the complete degeneracies enable the heat engine to work reversibly and achieve the Carnot efficiency. The proposed theoretical model can open up new avenues for building practical nano-energy devices.  相似文献
