This paper presents extended artificial physics optimization (EAPO), a population-based, stochastic, evolutionary algorithm (EA) for multidimensional search and optimization. EAPO extends the physicomimetics-based Artificial Physics Optimization (APO) algorithm by including each individual’s best fitness history. Including the history improves EAPO’s search capability compared to APO. EAPO and APO invoke a gravitational metaphor in which the force of gravity may be attractive or repulsive, the aggregate effect of which is to move individuals toward local and global optima. A proof of convergence is presented that reveals the conditions under which EAPO is guaranteed to converge. Discrete-time linear system theory is used to develop a second-order difference equation for an individual’s stochastic position vector as a function of time step. Stable solutions require eigenvalues inside the unit circle, leading to explicit convergence criteria relating the run parameters {mi, w, G}. EAPO is tested against several benchmark functions with excellent results. The algorithm converges more quickly than APO and with better diversity. 相似文献

The present paper proposes a method of virtual testing with a view to investigating the local response of tows within textile ceramic matrix composite (CMC) under various loading conditions. The method was developed on 2D woven SiC/SiC composites. It capitalizes on knowledge on mechanical damage phenomenology and data established in previous works. It is applied to isolated transverse tows subjected to uniaxial loading by parallel longitudinal tows. The transverse tows contain heterogeneities like matrix voids, fibres and interphases. Mesh for finite element analysis is constructed from micrographs of composite cross section. Cracks were introduced into the mesh for simulation of multiple cracking. Transverse tow tensile behavior and data on distributions of flaw populations were derived from finite element computations of stress-state. Results were compared to experimental observations. 相似文献

An abstract framework of numerical method is devised for solving an elliptic hemivariational inequality with convex constraint. Convergence of the method
is explored under the minimal solution regularity available from the well-posedness
of the hemivariational inequality. A Céa-type inequality is derived for error estimation. As a typical example, a virtual element method is proposed to solve a frictionless unilateral contact problem and its optimal error estimates are obtained as well.

In this paper, we propose a radial stereo imaging system for three-dimensional reconstruction of an object. This system uses a novel optical device which consists of a camera and two reflected mirrors. It can reconstruct three-dimensional model of an object by capturing one image. Depending on the reflection of the mirrors, each world point in the scene has a pair of points which sit in the inner and outer of the captured image, respectively. We firstly analyze the imaging constraint of the proposed system, and then derive the geometrical relationship between world point and image point pair to calculate the three-dimensional coordinate values of an arbitrary point on the object, which means that the three-dimensional model of the object can be recovered. Experiments are carried out to prove our design, and the results show that our radial stereo imaging system is convenient and effective for the three-dimensional reconstruction of an object. The main results available on the use of black-and-white Petri nets for modelling, planning and scheduling manufacturing systems are presented. In the first part of the paper, the basics of Petri nets necessary to understand the subsequent presentation are introduced. Particular attention is paid to event graphs, a particular type of Petri nets used for modelling and evaluating ratio-driven systems. The second part of the paper is devoted to ratio-driven systems, their modelling and their scheduling. Job-shops, assembly systems, and KANBAN systems are used to illustrate this section. Finally, the general case is investigated of manufacturing systems subject to changing demands. The role of physical testing in product development is changing due to the requirements for faster new product development, reduced tolerance of failures in the field and the emergence of computer aided engineering (CAE) technologies. To be used most effectively, testing must be seen as an integral part of the process for reducing risks associated with new product introductions. Quality function deployment (QFD) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) can be used to establish effective test and development plans that integrate the use of virtual and physical testing. By effectively integrating virtual and physical test technologies significant improvements in product performance can be achieved within shorter times and with reduced development and manufacturing costs. Micromechanical consideration of tensile crack behavior based on virtual internal bond in contrast to cohesive stress 总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8
A modified version of the virtual internal bond model (VIB) is presented. This involves the introduction of a R-bond restricting the relative rotation freedom of pairwise mass particle. Such a modification allows the VIB model to consider arbitrary values of the Poisson ratio. A linear elastic cohesive law considering both the R-bond and L-bond are assumed. The constitutive relationship is derived using the Cauchy–Born rules. The derived constitutive associates the bond stiffness with the Young’s modulus and Poisson ratio of materials. This gives the bond stiffness in terms of the Young’s modulus and Poisson ratio of materials.The modified VIB model is then used to analyze the tensile crack behavior. In contrast to the cohesive stress method, the deformation-governed concept will be used. The local materials failure is assumed to coincide with the reduction of the bond density due to the local deformation rather than by the local cohesive stress. A phenomenological relationship between the bond density and the deformation is established. The criterion which is applied to determined crack initiation and propagation is built into the constitutive model. As an example, the method is used to study the crack initiation and propagation behavior under tensile loading. 相似文献

The system under consideration comprises n workstations in parallel and one assembly workstation. The workstations are either reliable or unreliable and the product demand is random. The n different type parts are processed first in the parallel workstations and then are joined in the assembly workstation. By minimizing the expected discounted cost, it is shown that the optimal control policy is of the bang–bang type and can be described by a set of switching manifolds. The structural properties of the optimal policy, such as monotonicity and asymptotic behavior, are investigated. These structural properties are very useful to find the optimal policy in large-size systems. Three numerical examples are given to demonstrate the results. 相似文献
