Signal modeling using the gradient search

This letter presents a new method for continuous signal modeling. Firstly, the continuous signal can be represented as a function of the trigonometric functional extension (Fourier series). Fourier series of the signal are parameterized by the fundamental frequency and unknown parameters. Then, the gradient-based iterative identification algorithm is derived, for estimating parameters of the signal model with known and unknown frequencies, separately. Finally, the simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm is effective.     

Anion effects on the phase transition of N‐isopropylacrylamide hydrogels

NMR spectra were collected for poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) hydrogel using high‐resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) after gel pieces were hydrated in the presence of D₂O, NaF, NaCl, and NaI aqueous solutions. Changes in the peak height intensity of the spectra provide quantitative insight into the phase transition process. The thermodynamic values of the phase transition were calculated using a van't Hoff analysis of the NMR data. Unlike the trend observed for decreases in the (LCST), changes in the enthalpy and entropy did not clearly display a linear dependence with respect to salt concentration. Rather, it was observed that increases in salt concentration did not affect the enthalpy and entropy to the extent as the initial change observed between no salt and 100 mM solutions. Finally, the effect of salts on the hysteresis of the rehydrating process was observed. Hysteresis occurs due to the need for hydrophobic interactions to break down before water is able to infiltrate the polymer matrix. NaF stabilizes hydrophobic interactions while NaI destabilize hydrophobic interactions, causing them to break down at higher temperatures. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 构造一个具有复合幂函数的三维连续自治混沌系统。系统的状态方程仅有5项，其中一项是指数小于1的复合幂函数。该系统具有结构简单、非双曲平衡点、吸引子共存的性质，展现出了复杂的动力学行为。首先，对系统的动力学行为进行分析，包括李雅普诺夫（Lyapunov）指数谱、分岔图以及庞加莱映射等，结果表明此系统具有混沌特性。然后进行混沌系统的电路设计，电路仿真结果验证了理论分析的正确性。     

Evaluation of mean and variance integrals without integration

The mean and variance of some continuous distributions, in particular the exponentially decreasing probability distribution and the normal distribution, are considered. Since they involve integration by parts, many students do not feel comfortable. In this note, a technique is demonstrated for deriving mean and variance through differential calculus. The general nature of the technique has potential for wider applications.     

基于RBM的神经网络时间序列预测

为了克服神经网络依赖初始化结果,泛化能力不强的缺点,提出一种基于受限玻尔兹曼机(RBM)的神经网络模型.利用无监督学习方法优化神经网络的初始权值和阈值,将RBM与神经网络融合起来,模型与时间序列神经网络做实验对比,结果表明,基于受限的玻尔兹曼机的神经网络模型优于神经网络预测模型,模型可以提高预测的精准度,具有一定的应用意义.     

Electrical Impedance Spectroscopic Study of CNT/Ethylene-alt-CO/Propylene-alt-CO Polyketones Nanocomposite

Impedance spectroscopy was utilized to investigate the dielectric properties, ac conductivity and charge transport mechanisms in propylene-alt-CO/ethylene-alt-CO (EPEC) random terpolymer filled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as a function of nanofiller content, frequency, and temperature. Equivalent resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit models were proposed to describe the impedance characteristics of the unfilled terpolymer and the nanocomposite at different temperatures. For the nanocomposites, the ac conductivity tended to be frequency independent at low frequencies. At high frequencies, the ac conductivity increased with frequency. The dc conductivity (i.e., plateau of the ac conductivity at low frequencies) at room temperature increased from 10^?9 (Ω·m)^?1 for the unfilled polymer to l0^?3 (Ω·m)^?1 for the 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite. At low temperatures, the equivalent RC model for EPEC-0 and EPEC-2 was found to consist of a parallel RC circuit. However, for 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite, an RC model consisting of an R/constant phase element (CPE) circuit and a resistor in series was required to describe the impedance behavior of the nanocomposite.     

Krull property of generalized power series rings

Let D be an integral domain and let $(S,\le )$ be a torsion-free, ≤-cancellative, subtotally ordered monoid. We show that the generalized power series ring $?D^{S,\le }?$ is a Krull domain if and only if D is a Krull domain and S is a Krull monoid.     

A problem of determining a special spatial part of 3D memory kernel in an integro‐differential hyperbolic equation

The inverse problem of determining 2D spatial part of integral member kernel in integro‐differential wave equation is considered. It is supposed that the unknown function is a trigonometric polynomial with respect to the spatial variable y with coefficients continuous with respect to the variable x. Herein, the direct problem is represented by the initial‐boundary value problem for the half‐space x>0 with the zero initial Cauchy data and Neumann boundary condition as Dirac delta function concentrated on the boundary of the domain . Local existence and uniqueness theorem for the solution to the inverse problem is obtained.
