Estimates from Below for the Spectral Function and for the Remainder in Local Weyl’s Law

We obtain asymptotic lower bounds for the spectral function of the Laplacian and for the remainder in local Weyl’s law on manifolds. In the negatively curved case, thermodynamic formalism is applied to improve the estimates. Key ingredients of the proof include the wave equation parametrix, a pretrace formula and the Dirichlet box principle. Our results develop and extend the unpublished thesis of A. Karnaukh [Ka]. Nonlinear Cauchy problems with small analytic data

We study the lifespan of solutions to fully nonlinear Cauchy problems with small real- or complex-analytic data. Our proofs are based on the method of majorants and the fixed point theorem for a contraction mapping.

     

Blow Up of Solutions to Semilinear Wave Equations with Critical Exponent in High Dimensions

In this paper, the author considers the Cauchy problem for semilinear wave equations with critical exponent in n≥4 space dimensions. Under some positivity conditions on the initial data, it is proved that there can be no global solutions no matter how small the initial data are.     

Instability of Solitary Waves in Nonlinear Composite Media

In this paper,we investigate a class of Hamiltonian systems arising in nonlinear composite media.By detailed analysis and computation we obtain a decaying estimates on the semigroup and prove the orbitalinstability of two families of explicit solitary wave solutions (slow family in anisotropic case and solitary wavesin isotropic case),which theoretically verify the related guess and numerical results.     

Nanophotonics and nanometrology with planar X-ray waveguide-resonator

The mechanism of X-ray waveguide-resonance propagation or the radiation superstream model, which can become the ground of X-ray nanophotonics, is discussed briefly. Some attention is devoted to features consideration of the simplest devices characterized by the waveguide-resonance transportation of X-ray beams. The experimental data showing the user possibilities of a simplest waveguide-resonators application for diffractometry are presented. We discuss the main reasons to improve the metrological characteristics for total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) analytical method in case when the target exciting beam is formed by a waveguide-resonator. Some problems appearing during the waveguide-resonator application are formulated.     

Optimal reconstruction of the solution of the wave equation from inaccurate initial data

In the present paper, we consider the problem of the optimal reconstruction of the solution of the wave equation from the approximate values of the Fourier coefficients of the function specifying the initial form of the string. For an operator defined on the weight space of vectors from l ₂, we present the solution of the more general problem of reconstruction from the approximate values of the coordinates of these vectors.

Eur. Phys. J. B 24, 315 (2001) Here we comment on a recently published paper on the presence of a phason contribution in the low temperature heat capacity data of the charge-density-wave compounds K_0.3MoO₃ and (TaSe₄)₂I. We have shown that the anomaly in the C _P / T ³ data reported by Odin et al. is straightforwardly interpreted in terms of low energy phonon modes resulting from the peculiar topology of these compounds. A Relaxation Scheme for Solving the Boltzmann Equation Based on the Chapman-Enskog Expansion

Abstract In [16] a visco-elastic relaxation system, called the relaxed Burnett system, was proposed by Jinand Slemrod as a moment approximation to the Boltzmann equation. The relaxed Burnett system is weaklyparabolic, has a linearly hyperbolic convection part, and is endowed with a generalized eotropy inequality. Itagrees with the solution of the Boltzmann equation up to the Burnett order via the Chapman-Enskog expansion. We develop a one-dimensional non-oscillatory numerical scheme based on the relaxed Burnett system forthe Boltzmann equation. We compare numerical results for stationary shocks based on this relaxation scheme,and those obtained by the DSMC (Direct Simulation Monte Carlo), by the Navier-Stokes equations and bythe extended thermodynamics with thirteen moments (the Grad equations). 70 GHz二次谐波倍频回旋速调管研究

 对70 GHz二次谐波倍频回旋速调管高频结构和电子与波互作用进行了研究。研究了TE02模腔体绕射品质因数及模式转化，解决了二次谐波倍频回旋速调管漂移段不能截止70 GHz的TE01模而引起的腔体间高频串扰的问题。分析了注电流、输入功率、电子横纵速度比和电子注引导中心半径等参数对输出功率、增益和效率的影响。针对二次谐波回旋速调管放大器工作频带窄、效率低，进行了高频结构优化设计，显著地展宽了工作频带，提高了互作用效率。在理论分析和高频计算的基础上，建立了注-波互作用PIC（粒子模拟）模型，进行了粒子模拟计算和优化，得到了70 GHz 的二次谐波倍频四腔回旋速调管放大器设计方案。粒子模拟结果表明：在工作电压70 kV，注电流13 A，电子注横向速度与纵向速度比为1.5时，中心频率69.81 GHz输出功率256 kW，带宽160 MHz，电子效率28%，饱和增益大于44 dB。
