Two series of new high fluorescent polymeric materials based on copoly(styrene-maleic anhydride) (SMA) were prepared by the condensation of SMA with fluorescent groups. One series consists of 1,8-naphthalimides derivatives that are linked with SMA. The other series were prepared by the condensation of SMA with 3,4,9,10-perylene tetracarboxylic mono-anhydride mono-imide. These simple routes to copolymer of styrene and maleic anhydride containing pendent luminescent moiety are promising in increasing fluorescent quantum yield in solid state and processing, in which styrene is employed as “diluents”. The luminescent and the preliminary photovoltaic properties of these copolymers have been investigated.  相似文献

We developed a new method to measure the average aggregation number of large rod-like micelles using static fluorescence self-quenching of a solubilized fluorophore. The method is based on the increase of self-quenching of micelle-solubilized pyrene through excimer formation. We consider the effect of random distribution of pyrene in micelles and the micellar size distribution. The measured average aggregation <n> M is based on a new M-weighted raging similar to our exponential-weighted averaging in the transient decay method. We apply this method to study the effect of a large concentration of salt on the average aggregation behavior of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and cetyle tetraammonium bromide (CTAB). The sizes increase with increasing ionic concentrations. For SDS, we used the thermodynamic model developed by Missel et al. to calculate < n > M which we compare with experimental results.  相似文献

A new salicylic-based open-chain crown ether ligand, 1,10-bis(2′-carboxylphenyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane (BCPTD) was synthesized. Solutions of its complex with Tb3+ can emit the intrinsic fluorescence of Tb3+. The fluorescence intensity of the complex in KCl solution was enhanced by the addition of silver(I), leading to a new fluorescence enhancement phenomenon. The spectrofluorimetric determination of traces of silver(I) based on the above phenomenon was carried out. The excitation and emission wavelengths are 298 and 545 nm, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the differential value of fluorescence intensity in the absence and presence of Ag+ was proportional to the concentration of silver(I) in the range 0.5-20 μg ml−1. The method was applied to the determination of silver(I) in a standard ore sample. The analytical performance is investigated in detail by using common aromatic carboxylic acids or synthetic analogues of BCPTD as ligands to replace BCPTD. It was found that Tb-aromatic acid complexes did not result in fluorescence enhancement of Tb3+ in AgCl collosol. The phenomenon was only observed in Tb(III) with BCPTD or its open-chain crown ether analogues solutions.In addition, the enhancement of the fluorescence intensity of terbium(III) in these complexes depends on the extent of formation of the AgCl collosol.  相似文献

Fluorescence quenching in solutions of bovine serum albumin has been investigated in the presence of 6-mercaptopurine and ionic surfactants. Spectroscopic analysis of the emission quenching at different temperatures revealed that the quenching mechanism of bovine serum albumin by 6-mercaptopurine was dynamic quenching mechanism. The Stern–Volmer quenching model has been successfully applied, and the activation energy of the interaction between 6-mercaptopurine and bovine serum albumin as much as 4.26 kJ mol−1 was calculated. The distance r between donor (bovine serum albumin) and acceptor (6-mercaptopurine) was obtained according to fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). The result of synchronous fluorescence spectra shows that the conformation of bovine serum albumin has been changed at the present of 6-mercaptopurine.  相似文献

Hybrid quantum mechanical-molecular mechanics (dynamics) were performed on flavin reductase (Fre) and flavodoxin reductase (Fdr), both from Escherichia coli. Each was complexed with riboflavin (Rbf) or flavin mononucleotide (FMN). During 50 ps trajectories, the relative energies of the fluorescing state (S1) of the isoalloxazine ring and the lowest charge transfer state (CT) were assessed to aid prediction of fluorescence lifetimes that are shortened due to quenching by electron transfer from tyrosine. The simulations for the four cases display a wide range in CT–S1 energy gap caused by the presence of phosphate, other charged and polar residues, water, and by intermolecular separation between donor and acceptor. This suggests that the Gibbs energy change (ΔG0) and reorganization energy (λ) for the electron transfer may differ in different flavoproteins.  相似文献

通过E-[4-[2-(4-羟基苯基)乙烯基]吡啶与1,n-二溴烷烃亲核取代反应合成了4,4′-[1,n-亚烷基双[(E)-2-(4-氧苯基)乙烯基]]双吡啶[n=2(Ia),3(Ib),4(Ic),6(Id)].用元素分析、红外、紫外和质子核磁共振谱鉴定了Ia~Id的结构.将Ia~Id的稀溶液用中压汞灯和低压汞灯交替照射,发现其分子内光环加成反应的存在,并且随着亚烷基碳链的延长,反应速度加快.研究还发现锌离子可以与吡啶环上氮原子发生螯合作用使分子内光环加成反应加快.本文化合物荧光很弱,在较高浓度下有较强分子间激基缔合物荧光.  相似文献

A comprehensive photophysical and spectroscopic study of a new class of p-phenylenevinylene oligomers (PPV-trimers) possessing different alkyl and alkyloxy sidechain substituents and different end groups (aldehyde, CC, phenylene and anthracene units) was undertaken in solution at room temperature (293 K), low temperature (77 K) and in thin films. The study comprises absorption, emission and triplet–triplet absorption spectra, together with quantitative measurements of quantum yields (fluorescence, intersystem crossing, internal conversion and singlet oxygen formation) and lifetimes. The data allow the determination of rate constants for all decay processes. From these, several conclusions could be drawn. Changing from alkyl to alkyloxy substituents does not change fluorescence and internal conversion yields but decreases the (already small) intersystem crossing yield. The introduction of anthracene at the terminal ends of the PPV-trimers leads to the lowest fluorescence yield reported in this study. Of particular importance is the fact that the fluorescence quantum yields in films are of the same order of magnitude as those in solution, which suggests the potential for use of these oligomers for light-emitting device applications. With one of the alkyloxy derivatives, a more detailed study of the early part of the fluorescence decay was made, and it was found that upon excitation a fast conformational relaxation process of the initially excited oligomer occurs, leading to a more planar conjugation segment.  相似文献

Fluorimetry has been used to characterize ionomers synthesized by copolymerization ofmethyl mehacrylate, methacrylic acid and europium methacrylate (EMA). Under excita-tion of UV light at 375 nm no seif-quenching was found in fluorescence of EMA containingionomers at 615nm within the concentration range of 1.6×10~(-2) to 11.49×10~(-2) mol%.This means that the distance between two Eu~(3+) ions is larger than 5nm. In the sameconcentration range seif-quenching took place in europium octanoate (EOA) containingpoly(methyl methacrylate) in which EOA was doped as an additive.  相似文献
