Mobil Composition of Matter No. 41 (MCM‐41) was the most frequently used mesoporous silica material to extract peptides from complex biological samples. However, there were confusing extraction conditions and large extraction efficiency variance among related reports, which resulted from unclear understanding about the interaction between the material and peptides. In this study, the extraction mechanism was investigated with one set of tryptic peptides by using high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry. Generally, hydrophobic interaction and electrostatic attraction were two major driving forces for extraction of peptides, while electrostatic repulsion greatly weakened the interaction between the material and peptides with isoelectric points below the pH. With most peptides positively charged and MCM‐41 slightly negatively charged, most efficient extraction was obtained at pH 3, and it was proved that electrostatic and hydrophobic interaction acted in synergy for extraction of all the peptides. A mixed solution of acetonitrile with buffers of high pH or ion strength was demonstrated to be favorable for elution, which performed much better than the commonly used eluate (mixture of acetonitrile with 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid). Finally, under optimum conditions, it was found that extraction efficiency of MCM‐41 for protein digest and human serum was greatly improved. 相似文献

The acyclic tridentate blue luminescent ligand (λex=300 nm, λem=415 nm) quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde 2-pyridylhydrazone, HL, 1, was recognized as a new fluorescent chemosensor for Pd2+. In alkaline methanol complete fluorescent quenching was observed in the presence of 2 equivalents of Pd2+ that was further reflected in the solid phase fluorescence microscopic study.Ligand formed 1:1 complexes with Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Pd2+ and 1:2 complexes with Co2+, Fe2+ as obtained from Job's plot of continuous variation. The binding constants of different metal complexes (Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Pd2+) were estimated by fluorescence titrations. The ligand can selectively extract significant amount of Pd2+ from the aqueous mixture of metal ions, and the extraction efficiency was increased from 80% to 95% with increase in the molar ratio of HL, 1, to Pd2+ from 1 to 3. No significant interference was observed up to 2-fold excess addition of Cu2+ and Zn2+ and 100-fold excess addition of Co2+, Fe2+ and Ni2+over the Pd2+ ion concentration (1.0×10−3 M). 相似文献

The synthesis of two new calixarene derivatives 4 and 5, functionalized at the lower rim with 4-amino-1-benzylpiperidine to give diamide and diamine derivatives of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene, is described. They were obtained by the reaction of both the diester derivative of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (2) and the dialkyl bromide derivative of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (3) with 4-amino-1-benzylpiperidine. The 1H NMR spectra of calixarene derivatives show that 4 and 5 exist in the cone conformation. Moreover, these diamide and diamine derivatives of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (4 and 5) have been immobilized onto [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-propyl]-trimethoxysilane-modified Fe3O4 magnetite nanoparticles to obtain calixarene-based magnetic nanoparticles M-DADBP-Calix (6) and M-DABP-Calix (7). The calix[4]arene immobilized materials were characterized by a combination of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Thermogravimetric Analyses (TGA) and elemental analysis. Additionally, the studies regarding the removal of As(V)/Cr(VI) ions as well as U(VI) ion from aqueous solutions were also carried out by using these compounds in liquid-liquid/solid-liquid extraction experiments. 相似文献

We provide an extensive review of the common methodologies employed in the analysis of airborne polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The review focuses on gas-chromatography-based approaches, in the light of their universal application with excellent separation, resolution, and sensitivity.We first describe collection methods for airborne PAHs in the gas and particle phases. We then evaluate the efficiency of extraction techniques employed for separating target PAHs from sampling media, using conventional solvent-based and emerging thermal-desorption approaches.We also describe commonly employed analytical methods with respect to their applicability to PAHs in gas and particle phases, collected from diverse environmental settings. As an essential part of basic quality assurance, we examine each method with special emphasis on key parameters (e.g., limit of detection and reproducibility).Finally, we address the likely directions of methodological developments, their limitations, and the future prospects for PAH analysis. 相似文献
