Laser spectroscopy measurements have been performed on neutron-deficient and stable Ir isotopes using the COMPLIS experimental
setup installed at ISOLDE-CERN. The radioactive Ir atoms were obtained from successive decays of a mass-separated Hg beam
deposited onto a carbon substrate after deceleration to 1kV and subsequently laser desorbed. A three-color, two-step resonant
scheme was used to selectively ionize the desorbed Ir atoms. The hyperfine structure (HFS) and isotope shift (IS) of the first

The nuclear magnetic moments μI and the spectroscopic quadrupole moments Qs were obtained from the HFS spectra and the change of the mean square charge radii from the IS measurements. The sign of μI was experimentally determined for the first time for the masses 182≤A≤189 and the isomeric state 186Ir
m
. The spectroscopic quadrupole moments of 182Ir and 183Ir were measured also for the first time. A large mean square charge radius change between 187Ir and 186Ir
g
and between 186Ir
m
and 186Ir
g
was observed corresponding to a sudden increase in deformation: from β2 ≃ + 0.16 for the heavier group A = 193, 191, 189, 187 and 186m to β2≥ + 0.2 for the lighter group A = 186g, 185, 184, 183 and 182. These results were analyzed in the framework of a microscopic treatment of an axial rotor plus one
or two quasiparticle(s). This sudden deformation change is associated with a change in the proton state that describes the
odd-nuclei ground state or that participates in the coupling with the neutron in the odd-odd nuclei. This state is identified
with the π3/2+[402] orbital for the heavier group and with the π1/2-[541] orbital stemming from the 1h
9/2 spherical subshell for the lighter group. That last state seems to affect strongly the observed values of the nuclear moments. 相似文献

Summary The electrostatic dispersion relation for a low-temperature, low-density magnetized plasma has been studied in the range of
the ion cyclotron frequency and its first harmonics. The presence of a forward wave and of an infinite number of backward
waves has been shown. The characteristics of propagation of these modes and the possibility of conversion are analysed.

The recoil proton polarization in the π0 production off the proton with longitudinally polarized electron beam has been studied as a means to measure quadrupole components
in the N to Δ transition. On top of the Δ resonance a high sensitivity to a possible Coulomb quadrupole excitation is found
in parallel kinematics. The ratio of S
1+/M
1+ multipole amplitudes can be determined from the ratio of the two in-scattering-plane recoil proton polarization components.
Avoiding the absolute measurement of the polarizations, such a ratio allows small experimental uncertainties. Furthermore,
the electron helicity independent proton polarization component enables the characterization of resonant and non-resonant
pieces.

The low spin states of 223Ra have been populated via α-decay from 227Th which was itself produced following β− decay of an 227Ac source. α–γ and α−e
K,L,M angular correlation measurements have been analysed using the correct ground state spins of 227Th(=1/2+) and 223Ra(=3/2+) for the first time.
The analysis has allowed unique Jπ values to be assigned to almost all levels below 400 keV excitation in 223Ra.
Values of (g
K−g
R)/Q
0 have been deduced for several members of the K= 3/2± bands (for the first time in an odd N nucleus in this mass region) allowing estimates of g
K and g
R to be extracted. The values of g
K and g
R are not significantly different for the positive and negative parity band members and tend to support other strong evidence
that stable octupole deformation exists in 223Ra at low excitation energies.

We report the results of a wide experimental study of the irreversible modulated microwave absorption as a function of temperature, applied magnetic field and modulation amplitude in the YBa2Cu3Ox single crystals. To analyze the experimental data the model of the microwave power dissipation by the flux lines has been developed taking into account thermal fluctuations, the distributions of currents and vortices over a sample. We show that a system of N strongly interacting quantum particles in a parabolic confining potential can be unstable under the action of a time-dependent quadrupole external field.
