A fast modified sine transform for solving block-tridiagonal systems with Toeplitz blocks

In this report we consider block-tridiagonal systems with Toeplitz blocks. Each block is of sizen×n consisting ofn _c×n _c matrices as entries, and there arem×m blocks in the system. The solution of those systems consists of 2n _c m modified sine transforms and an intermediate solution ofn block-tridiagonal systems. Symmetries in the data vectors are exploited such that one modified sine transform can be computed in terms of one Fourier transform of half the length of the original one, hence requiringO(2.5nlog₂ n) operations. Similarly, we only have to solve (n+1)/2 of the intermediate systems due to symmetry.This work was supported by the Swedish National Board for Industrial and Technical Development, NUTEK, under contract No. 89-02539 P.     

The Laplace transform on time scales revisited

In this work, we reexamine the time scale Laplace transform as defined by Bohner and Peterson [M. Bohner, A. Peterson, Dynamic Equations on Time Scales: An Introduction with Applications, Birkhäuser, Boston, 2001; M. Bohner, A. Peterson, Laplace transform and Z-transform: Unification and extension, Methods Appl. Anal. 9 (1) (2002) 155-162]. In particular, we give conditions on the class of functions which have a transform, develop an inversion formula for the transform, and further, we provide a convolution for the transform. The notion of convolution leads to considering its algebraic structure—in particular the existence of an identity element—motivating the development of the Dirac delta functional on time scales. Applications and examples of these concepts are given.     

一类Lagrangian对偶问题的零对偶间隙性质及其最优路径的收敛性

针对一般的非线性规划问题,利用某些Lagrange型函数给出了一类Lagrangian对偶问题的一般模型,并证明它与原问题之间存在零对偶间隙．针对具体的一类增广La- grangian对偶问题以及几类由非线性卷积函数构成的Lagrangian对偶问题,详细讨论了零对偶间隙的存在性．进一步,讨论了在最优路径存在的前提下,最优路径的收敛性质．     

有限分形介质中分数阶反应扩散方程及其解析解

建立了有限分形介质中具有吸附效应的分数阶反应扩散积分方程.利用Lap lace变换、广义有限H ankel变换及其相应的逆变换得到了以M ittag-Leffler函数为主要形式的解析解,并研究了解的渐近性态.     

Local algorithms in exterior tomography

Exterior tomographic data are taken over lines outside a central region, and such data occur in the industrial nondestructive evaluation of large objects such as rockets. We explain, using microlocal analysis, which singularities are well reconstructed from exterior data, and we explain how this phenomenon is reflected in the singular value decomposition for the exterior transform [E.T. Quinto, Singular value decompositions and inversion methods for the exterior Radon transform and a spherical transform, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 95 (1983) 437–448]. We extend Lambda Tomography to exterior data and to limited angle exterior data. The algorithm is tested on industrial data from Perceptics, Inc.     

An extension of gap functions for a system of vector equilibrium problems with applications to optimization problems

In this paper, the notion of gap functions is extended from scalar case to vector one. Then, gap functions and generalized functions for several kinds of vector equilibrium problems are shown. As an application, the dual problem of a class of optimization problems with a system of vector equilibrium constraints (in short, OP) is established, the concavity of the dual function, the weak duality of (OP) and the saddle point sufficient condition are derived by using generalized gap functions. Numerical analysis for stochastic age-dependent population equations with Poisson jumps

In this paper, stochastic age-dependent population equations with Poisson jumps are considered. In general, most of stochastic age-dependent population equations with jumps do not have explicit solutions, thus numerical approximation schemes are invaluable tools for exploring their properties. The main purpose of this paper is to develop a numerical Euler scheme and show the convergence of the numerical approximation solution to the true solution.     

Dynamics for the stochastic nonlocal Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation

Dynamics for the stochastic Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation with a nonlocal term is studied. We prove that the stochastic equation has a finite-dimensional random attractor.     

LD端抽运平直腔Nd:YVO4固态激光器的输出功率特性研究

对LD端抽运平直腔Nd:YVO₄固态激光器输出功率特性受激光器内在诸因素(热透镜效应、腔长、激活孔径等)的制约关系进行了研究.并用传播圆-变换圆图解分析方法给出了合理的解释，同时，对进一步提高其输出功率特性指出了方向. 关键词： 固体激光器 热透镜 变换圆 平直腔     

On multiple integrals of special form

Multiple integrals generalizing the iterated kernels of integral operators are expressed as single integrals in the case of a special representation of the kernel (this is our theorem). Besides integral equations, Markov processes involve these integrals as well. As a consequence of the theorem, we obtain transition probability densities of certain Markov processes. As an illustration, we consider nine examples.
