A circular cylindrical cavity enclosed by a thin elastic shell is found in many practical devices such as expansion volume mufflers, hermetic compressors and aircraft cabins. Analytical and experimental studies are conducted in this work to understand the characteristics of sound transmission through the cylindrical wall of such a system. Using an infinitely long circular cylindrical shell subjected to a plane incident wave, an exact solution is obtained by solving the classical shell vibration equations and the acoustic wave equations simultaneously. Transmission losses obtained from the solution are compared to the transmission losses that are measured for a cylindrical shell of finite length and the same cross-sectional dimensions. The comparison suggests that the theoretical model can be used as an effective design tool despite considerable simplifications involved.  相似文献

Radiative integral transfer equations for one-dimensional solid cylinder with absorbing, emitting and linearly anisotropic-scattering inhomogeneous medium were derived by Abulwafa et al. (JQSRT 62 (1999) 755). The anisotropic terms in the integral equations and their results for anisotropic benchmark problems (JQSRT 66 (2000) 487) are inaccurate. In this study, the integral equations for absorbing, emitting and linearly anisotropic-scattering medium are rederived, and the integral equations for one-dimensional solid cylindrical medium are solved. The results are compared with selected cases using the discrete ordinates S16 and the exact solutions available in the literature.  相似文献

 基于爆电换能原理,使用掺铌的PZT 95/5陶瓷组装换能器件,在垂直工作模式下,对爆电电源LRC电路响应进行了理论分析,并开展了脉冲大电流输出实验研究。实验采用多组PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷并联,利用平面波发生器作为冲击加载手段,获得了峰值5 kA以上的脉冲大电流,初始电流上升速率可达10~20 GA/s。实验结果与理论设计符合较好。  相似文献

This paper investigates the use of magnetically active materials in the matching layer of a piezoelectric transducer. This then allows the performance of the device to be dynamically altered by applying an external field. The effect that this new matching layer has on the performance of a typical device is theoretically investigated here. It transpires that the additional flexibility of an active matching layer can be used to maintain the efficiency of the device as the external load is varied.  相似文献

A new type of radial composite piezoelectric transducer in radial vibration is developed and analyzed. The radial composite transducer consists of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring polarized in the thickness direction and a metal thin circular ring. They are connected together and excited to vibrate in the radial direction. The radial vibrations of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and a metal thin circular ring are analyzed, respectively. Their radial electro-mechanical equivalent circuits are obtained. Based on the electro-mechanical equivalent circuits and using the boundary conditions between the piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and the metal thin circular ring in the radial direction, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit of the radial composite piezoelectric transducer is derived out and the resonance frequency equation is obtained. The relationship between the resonance frequency and the geometrical dimensions of the transducer is analyzed. Some radial composite piezoelectric transducers are designed and manufactured. The resonance frequencies and the anti-resonance frequencies, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit parameters are measured. The effective electro-mechanical coupling coefficient and the mechanical quality factor are calculated. It is illustrated that the measured radial resonance frequencies are in good agreement with the theoretical results from the resonance frequency equation.  相似文献

针对压电换能器在大功率下存在复杂非线性而导致匹配参数难以优化的问题,以大功率超声金属焊接为例,通过采集测试焊接过程换能器两端电压的幅值与频率,建立换能器反谐振电阻与驱动电压有效值、频率之间的数学模型;提出基于反谐振电阻模型的最优功率匹配方法,推导了匹配电感电容的计算公式。最后实验验证了数学模型的准确性,且当换能器输入功率在最优功率附近时,匹配网络电能传输效率最高。  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Der Stand der Kapillarheometrie mit den Vor- und Nachteilen der einzelnen Systeme und Meßverfahren wird dargestellt. Ausgehend von diesem Stand werden zwei alternative Meßverfahren, nämlich Piezo-Einzelkraftund DMS-Meßverfahren, zur direkten Schubspannungsermittlung besprochen und eine nach diesem Prinzip konzipierte Versuchsdüse vorgestellt. Die mit dieser Düse erhaltenen Meßergebnisse zeigen im Vergleich zu konventionell, d. h. unter Anwendung des Bagley-Verfahrens, ermittelten Fließkurven im Falle der Einzelkraftmessung gute Übereinstimmung. The state-of-the-art of capillary rheometry, especially the advantages and disadvantages of different systems, is presented. Two measuring methods, a piezo single-force transducer, and a strain-gauge device combined in a testing die are compared. The strain gauges are fixed at the outside of a small capillary to detect the resulting wall shear stress between inner surface of the die and polymer flow by measuring the axial strain in the wall of the die. The single force method uses an elastic section of the die which uncouples the die from the supporting structure without changing the cross-section of the flow. The uncoupled part of the die is supported by a stiff, piezo-force transducer that detects the integral effect of wall shear stress. The resulting flow curves compare well with those using the Bagley method. With the novel die no entrance pressure-loss correction is needed. In principle, it also could be used as an on-line device for polymer processing.

The present paper focuses on the structural stability of long uniformly pressurized thin elastic tubular shells subjected to in-plane bending. Using a special-purpose non-linear finite element technique, bifurcation on the pre-buckling ovalization equilibrium path is detected, and the post-buckling path is traced. Furthermore, the influence of pressure (internal and/or external) as well as the effects of radius-to-thickness ratio, initial curvature and initial ovality on the bifurcation moment, curvature and the corresponding wavelength, are examined. The local character of buckling in the circumferential direction is also demonstrated, especially for thin-walled tubes. This observation motivates the development of a simplified analytical formulation for tube bifurcation, which considers the presence of pressure, initial curvature and ovality, and results in closed-form expressions of very good accuracy, for tubes with relatively small initial curvature. Finally, aspects of tube bifurcation are illustrated using a simple mechanical model, which considers the ovalized pre-buckling state and the effects of pressure.  相似文献

The bending problem of a simply supported, angle-ply piezoelectric-laminated cylindrical panel in cylindrical bending with weak interfaces is considered. A general spring-layer model is adopted to describe the weakness of imperfect interfaces. An exact analysis is performed via the state-space approach. A new system of physical variables is introduced and a variable substitution technique is employed to derive a state equation with constant coefficients.
