The temperature effect on the rate of the decomposition of hydroperoxides and the rate of the formation of free radicals in the oxidation of ethylbenzene with molecular oxygen in the presence of -phenylethyl hydroperoxide—cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a catalytic system for free radical generation was studied by kinetic methods (from the oxygen consumption and hydroperoxide decomposition rates) and the inhibition method involving different acceptors of free radicals.  相似文献

The enthalpy of solution of phenoxy 2-ethanol, 1 phenoxy,-3 propanol and benzylalcohol was determined at 25 °C in aqueous sodium dodecylsulfate and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide solution, up to 0.2 mol/kg surfactant concentration. Using the pseudo-phase model, the standard enthalpy of transfer and the partition coefficient of the alcohols between micelle and water are calculated. The latter quantity is found to be systematically larger when derived from enthalpy than from free energy measurements. Using the so-called compensation plot, the solution thermodynamics of aromatic and aliphatic alcohols in aqueous sodium dodecylsulfate and in the octane+water systems are compared. Aromatic alcohols display an anomalous behavior in the octane+ water system but not in the micellar one.The standard enthalpy of solution of various alcohols presents, when plotted against hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide concentration, a shoulder in the region around 0.05 mol/kg; a discussion is presented on the evidence for alleged micellar structural changes in aqueous micellar systems.  相似文献

Twenty-one R2R2N+X -type (R=methyl or ethyl, R=alkyl, X=Br or I) quaternary ammonium (QA) halides have been prepared by using a novel one-pot synthetic route in which a formamide (dimethyl-, diethylformamide, etc.) is treated with alkyl halide in the presence of sodium or potassium carbonate. The formation of QA halides was verified with 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of four QA halides (two bromide and two iodide) were determined using X-ray single crystal diffraction, and the powder diffraction method was used to study the structural similarities between the single crystal and microcrystalline bulk material. The thermal properties of all compounds were studied using TG/DTA and DSC methods. The smallest compounds decomposed during or before melting. The decreasing trend of melting points was observed when the alkyl chain length was increased. The liquid ranges of 120-180 °C were observed for compounds with 5-6 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain. The low melting points and wide liquid ranges suggest potential applicability of these compounds for example as ionic liquids precursors.  相似文献

The phase diagram for the RbBr–CuBr system has been determined. In the system two intermediate compounds are formed: RbCu2Br3, melting congruently at 537 K and Rb3CuBr4, melting incongruently at 544 K. The coordinates of the two eutectic points are: 501 K, 54 mole% CuBr and 522 K, 74 mole% CuBr. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

In cetyltrimethylammonium/n-pentanol/H2O W/O (W/O = water in oil microemulsion) mixtures and bi-continuous microemulsions, phenothiazine (PTZ) molecules exist in the membrane phase of the dispersion either with the N atom or with the S atom pointed toward the polar head of cetyltrimethylammonium (CTAB). Cyclic voltammetry has been used to investigate the effects of the compositions and structures of the microemulsions, pH, and the salt on the location distribution of PTZ in the membrane phase of the dispersion in CTAB/n-C5H11OH/H2O W/O and bi-continuous microemulsions. The results show that the location distribution of PTZ in the membrane phase of the dispersion in microemulsions is mainly dependent on the hydrogen bond between PTZ and n-C5H11OH (or the counterion), and on the electrostatic attractive interaction between the N atom in PTZ and the polar head of CTAB.  相似文献

Densities (ρ) and refractive indices (nD) of glycine (Gly), DL-alanine (Ala), DL-valine (Val) (0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, and 0.10 mol·L^-1) in 0.005 and 0.008 mol·L^-1 aqueous cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) have been measured at 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15 K. The density data have been utilized to calculate apparent molar volumes (φv), partial molar volumes (φv^0), at infinite dilution and partial molar volumes of transfer φv^0 (tr) of amino acids. The refractive index data have been used to calculate molar refractivity (Rr,) of amino acids in aqueous cetyltrimethylammonium bromide. It has been observed that φv^0 varies linearly with increasing number of carbon atoms in the alkyl chain of amino acids, and hence, was split to get contributions from the zwitterionic end groups (NH3^+ COO^-) and methylene group (CH2) of the amino acids. The behaviour of these parameters has been used to investigate the solute-solute, solute-solvent interactions and the effect of cetyltrimethylammoniuln cation on these interactions,  相似文献

A quantitative analysis method for penicillins including ampicillin (AmP), benzyl penicillin (BP), oxacillin (OA) and amoxycillin (AmO) is proposed that makes use of the totally internally reflected resonance light scattering (TIR-RLS) signal from the penicillin at the H2O/CCl4 interface in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMAB), and enables the pharmacokinetics of penicillin taken orally and excreted through urine to be monitored. Penicillin is coadsorbed with CTMAB at the H2O/CCl4 interface in neutral solution, resulting in the formation of ion associates that display greatly enhanced TIR-RLS signals (maximum at 368–372 nm). This enhanced TIR-RLS intensity was found to be proportional to the penicillin concentration over the range 0.2×10–6 to 2.2×10–6 mol L–1, with limits of determination (3) of 5.0×10–8 to 7.0×10–8 mol L–1. Pharmacokinetics studies performed using the present method show that the excretion of orally-taken ampicillin through urine has a half-time of 1.05 h and an excremental quantum over 8 h of 49.3%, respectively.  相似文献

The enthalpies of mixing of some n-nitriles (from acetonitrile to valeronitrile) aqueous solutions with dodecyltzimethylammonium bromide, sodium dodecylsulfate and dodecyltzimethylammonium oxide micellar solutions were determined. The measurements were performed by systematically changing the surfactant concentration at a given solute concentration. The experimental enthalpies were rationalized in terms of the standard enthalpy of transfer of solute from the aqueous to the micellar phase and of the distribution constant between the two phase. Information on the effect of the nature of the surfactant on the standard thermodynamic quantities of transfer(G t o , H t o , TS t o ) is reported. The present data are compared to those previously reported for primary alcohols and the solubilizing properties shown by the different types of micelles are discussed.  相似文献
