High-quality undoped Bi2201 single crystals were obtained by free growth in gas-filled cavities formed in the volume of a KCl melt. The superconducting transition temperature Tc was found to be affected by the crystallization temperature Tcryst and varied from 10 to 2 K as Tcryst increased from 840 to 860 °C. The crystals with the highest Tc both in the underdoped and overdoped states were near the maximum of doping curve.  相似文献

Gallium nitride (GaN) doped by Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions have been synthesized using powder technology. The emission and absorption spectra have been obtained by using photoluminesence technique and correlated with the local structural environments. The room temperature yellow emission from GaN grains as well as from Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions has been observed for nano- as well as for microGaN grains. Additionally, for GaN:1%Eu3 micrograins the blue emission from GaN nanocrystals has been observed.  相似文献

We report here the distinctive modifications of photoluminescence (PL) behaviors in single CdSe/ZnS/TOPO nanocrystals depending on their environments. Long-time traces of PL intensity from single nanocrystals have been obtained in both vacuum and a wet nitrogen atmosphere. While all of the nanocrystals in both environments exhibit PL blinking behaviors, i.e. on-off intermittency of PL intensity, as usual, some of the nanocrystals in the wet nitrogen atmosphere show significant increase in duration time of on-events. As for the duration time of blinking off-events, it is for the moment associated with the occasional events of carrier capturing at trap sites on or near the nanocrystal surfaces. We propose a model in which adsorbed water molecules at the trap sites on the nanocrystal surfaces transform them under light irradiation, which eventually decreases the occurrence of the trapping events due to their inactivation. It in turn increases the PL on-times. In addition to the drastic modification of the blinking profile, we also found that in the PL time traces some kinds of undulated behaviors, i.e. continuous and rather low frequency fluctuation of PL intensity, appear during each on-event in vacuum while they disappear totally in the wet nitrogen atmosphere. These results are also described on the basis of the inactivation model of the trap sites introduced above.  相似文献

Linearly-polarized infrared (1.06 μm) laser light with intensities ranging from 5.3 to 97 mW/cm2 has been used to obtain anisotropically luminescent porous silicon (PSi) layers by photoanodic etching in a hydrofluoric acid solution. Remarkably large photoluminescence (PL) anisotropy has been observed in samples prepared with the highest illumination intensity. These samples show very low degrees of linear polarization when the PL excitation light is polarized parallel to the polarization direction of the etching light. When the excitation light is polarized perpendicular to that, we obtain usual degrees of linear polarization of several percent. This result indicates that anisotropic Si nanostructures in PSi layers can be made isotropic with high orientation selectivity by the polarized-light assisted technique. A simple two-dimensional model is presented to explain the observed prominent anisotropy.  相似文献

Nontoxic cobalt acetate tetrahydrate was used as a precursor to prepare cobalt nanoparticles of 8–200 nm in average diameter by thermal decomposition. The different combinations of trioctylphosphine, oleylamine and oleic acid were added as surfactants to control the particle size. These combinations resulted in the particles with saturation magnetization and coercive force ranging from 55.0 to 100.1 emu/g and from 0 to 459.3 Oe, respectively.  相似文献

Tetragonal phase KTa0.6Nb0.4O3 (KTN) nanoparticles have been prepared by hydrothermal method. The obtained particles were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and UV-vis absorption spectrum techniques. A systematic change in crystal structure from cubic to tetragonal is observed with the increase of reaction temperature and KOH concentration. Room temperature UV-vis absorption spectrums of KTN particles show that the band gap changes from 3.24 to 3.34 eV with grain size diminished, which reveals the existence of blue-shift phenomenon of absorption bands.  相似文献

A series of nickel selenide (NiSe2, NiSe and Ni3Se4) nanoparticles have been synthesized by three different methods, i.e. the single-source precursor (method 1), the thermolysis of trioctylphosphine selenide (TOPSe) and nickel chloride in hexadecylamine (method 2) as well as the reaction of nickel chloride and selenium using sodium borohydride as a reducing agent in methanol and in water (method 3). The optical properties of nickel selenide synthesized from all the methods showed good nanometric characteristics with an observed blue-shift in absorption band-edge from bulk nickel selenide. The structural characteristics varied with the methods employed, with method 1 producing 10 nm spherical NiSe2 particles, method 2 star-shaped NiSe particles, while method 3 produced hexagonal NiSe nanoparticles in methanol and rod-shaped Ni3Se4 particles in water.  相似文献

Rare-earth sesquifluorides with no absorption in visible spectral region, such as LaF3, GdF3, LuF3, YF3, ScF3, are the topic of intense study as a host for luminescence materials. However, except Nd:LaF3, they are not studied as a host for laser materials. The main obstacle troubling further study of GdF3, LuF3, YF3, ScF3 single crystal is the fact that there is first-order phase transition (LaF3 type↔beta-YF3 type for GdF3, alpha-YF3 type↔beta-YF3 type for the rest) between the room and melting temperature.To prevent the phase transition, first of all, we have tried to make solid solution between GdF3 and YF3 in such a way that the average cation radii can be shifted to the size that does not have phase transition. Ce3+ perturbed luminescence was observed in the Ce- and Sr-codoped GdF3-YF3 system. Similar solid solution concept was applied to the combination between GdF3 and YbF3. The emission spectrum of Yb3+ that exhibits broad bands around 1 μm was observed. Room temperature up-conversion luminescence spectra of Pr3+-doped Gd1−xYbxF3 were studied and visible emission from Pr3+ was obtained under infrared laser pumping in the Yb3+ broad absorption band at 935.5 nm.  相似文献

We report the evolution of photoluminescence (PL) of Si nanocrystals (nc-Si) embedded in a matrix of SiO2 during Ar+ ion bombardment. The integrated intensity of nc-Si PL falls down drastically before the Ar+ ion fluence of 1015 ions cm−2, and then decreases slowly with the increasing ion fluence. At the meantime, the PL peak position blueshifts steadily before the fluence of 1015 ions cm−2, and then changes in an oscillatory manner. Also it is found that the nc-Si PL of the Ar+-irradiated sample can be partly recovered after annealing at 800 °C in nitrogen, but can be almost totally recovered after annealing in oxygen. The results confirm that the ion irradiation-induced defects are made up of oxygen vacancies, which absorb light strongly. The oscillatory peak shift of nc-Si can be related to a size-distance distribution of nc-Si in SiO2.  相似文献

Fe clusters of 105±2 atoms/cluster were mass selectively deposited onto Cu(111) at cryogenic temperatures. XMCD was used to measure temperature and direction dependent magnetization curves. The clusters are superparamagnetic at the lowest temperature measured (10 K). Their magnetization curves are consistent with magnetic moments of ≈2.5μB per atom which are thus enhanced over the bulk values. Within experimental accuracy, the clusters do not present magnetocrystalline anisotropy in the temperature range of 10 K to 60 K.  相似文献
