The quark-delocalization colour-screening model is employed to calculate the effective potential between nucleon and kaon. The results show that the potentials are attractive in the I = 0 channel and repulsive in the I = 1 channel. The interactions are very weak between K^+n or K^0p due to the cancellation between I = 0 and I = 1. The state of super-dense matter is essential for us to understand the nature of pulsars; however, non- perturbative quantum chromodynamics makes it very difficult to make direct calculations of the state of cold matter at realistic baryon number densities inside compact stars. Nevertheless, from an observational point of view, it is conjectured that pulsars could be made up of quark clusters since the strong coupling between quarks might render the quarks to be grouped in clusters. In this paper, we attempt to find an equation of state of condensed quark-cluster matter in a phenomenological way. Supposing that the quark-clusters could be analogized to inert gases, we apply here the corresponding-state approach to derive the equation of state of quark-cluster matter, as was similarly demonstrated for nuclear and neutron-star matter in the 1970s. According to the calculations that we have presented, the quark-cluster stars, which are composed of quark-cluster matter, could have a high maximum mass that is consistent with observations and, in turn, further observations of pulsar mass could also place a constraint on the properties of quark-cluster matter. We will also briefly discuss the melting heat during the solid-liquid phase conversion and its related astrophysical consequences. 相似文献

We analyze the φ meson production in e^+e^- →ωπ^0 as a probe for studying the isospin violation mechanisms. By clarifying the dynamic sources causing the isospin violation, we succeed in quantifying those mechanisms with the help of the recent KLOE data. Hence, the φ→ωπ^0 branching ratio is extracted. We find that apart from the electromagnetic (EM) transitions, the strong transition via intermediate kaon loops plays an important role in understanding the cross section and its lineshape. 相似文献

The photoproduction of K+ mesons from the nucleon provides important constraints on the nucleon excitation spectrum and at threshold energies challenges effective field theories based on chiral perturbation in the strange quark sector. Preliminary cross-section measurements for γ(P, K+)A are presented at an unprecedented beam energy resolution. The data was collected at the MAMI-C facility in Mainz using the Crystal Ball Detector. A new method of K+ detection was used in which the K+ is tagged from its weak decay products in the detector crystals. The quark propagator in the Landau gauge is studied on the lattice, including the quenched and the unquenched results. No obvious unquenched effects are found by comparing the quenched quark propagator with the dynamical one. For the quenched and unquenched configurations, the results with different quark masses have been computed.
