On the basis of optimized structures of two kinds thiophene oligomers, we investigated the configuration and conformation dependent optical and electronic properties of α or β substituted oligothiophene (PT) and oligo(thienylenevinylene) (PTV) isomers, respectively, at the TD‐DFT/6‐31+G(d,p)//PBE0/6‐31G(d) level. The corresponding properties of polymers were predicted by extrapolation method. The broad absorption regions for polythiophene and/or poly(thienylenevinylene) can be ascribed to the coexistence of various conformational and/or configurational isomers with similar energies and each corresponding excited state possessing different absorption spectrum and overlapping each other. Furthermore, the reorganization energies for electron (λe) and hole (λh) of α or β substituted PTV and PT indicate them to be potential ambipolar charge transport materials under the proper operating conditions. Therefore, these results are important because they can provide a rational way for the design of multifunctional materials with broad absorption and ambipolar charge transport properties for solar cells devices. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A proton-conductive material based on a crystalline assembly of trimesic acid and melamine (TMA?M, see picture) is reported. Because of the ordered structure of the assembly, the water-saturated proton conductivity for the TMA?M assembly is 5.5?S?cm(-1) , which is the highest proton conductivity measured to date. This exceptionally high conductivity and low-cost fabrication of the material make applications feasible for fuel-cell devices.  相似文献

The effect of Lorentz force on particle transport and deposition is studied by using direct numerical simulation of turbulent channel flow of electrically conducting fluids combined with discrete particle simulation of the trajectories of uncharged, spherical particles. The magnetohydrodynamic equations for fluid flows at low magnetic Reynolds numbers are adopted. The particle motion is determined by the drag, added mass, and pressure gradient forces. Results are obtained for flows with particle ensembles of various densities and diameters in the presence of streamwise, wall-normal or spanwise magnetic fields. It is found that the particle dispersion in the wall-normal and spanwise directions is decreased due to the changes of the underlying fluid turbulence by the Lorentz force, while it is increased in the streamwise direction. The particle accumulation in the near-wall region is diminished in the magnetohydrodynamic flows. In addition, the tendency of small inertia particles to concentrate preferentially in the low-speed streaks near the walls is strengthened with increasing Hartmann number. The particle transport by turbophoretic drift and turbulent diffusion is damped by the magnetic field and, consequently, particle deposition is reduced.  相似文献

With the two-scale expansion technique proposed by Yoshizawa,the turbulent fluctuating field is expanded around the isotropic field.At a low-order two-scale expansion,applying the mode coupling approximation in the Yakhot-Orszag renormalization group method to analyze the fluctuating field,the Reynolds-average terms in the Reynolds stress transport equation,such as the convective term,the pressure-gradient-velocity correlation term and the dissipation term,are modeled.Two numerical examples:turbulent flow past a backward-facing step and the fully developed flow in a rotating channel,are presented for testing the efficiency of the proposed second-order model.For these two numerical examples,the proposed model performs as well as the Gibson-Launder (GL) model,giving better prediction than the standard k-ε model,especially in the abilities to calculate the secondary flow in the backward-facing step flow and to capture the asymmetric turbulent structure caused by frame rotation.  相似文献

In Peller (1980) [27], Peller (1985) [28], Aleksandrov and Peller (2009) [2], Aleksandrov and Peller (2010) [3], and Aleksandrov and Peller (2010) [4] sharp estimates for f(A)−f(B) were obtained for self-adjoint operators A and B and for various classes of functions f on the real line R. In this paper we extend those results to the case of functions of normal operators. We show that if a function f belongs to the Hölder class Λα(R2), 0<α<1, of functions of two variables, and N1 and N2 are normal operators, then ‖f(N1)−f(N2)‖?const‖fΛαN1N2α. We obtain a more general result for functions in the space for an arbitrary modulus of continuity ω. We prove that if f belongs to the Besov class , then it is operator Lipschitz, i.e., .
