一类二阶两点边值问题的单调迭代方法

通过改进经典的单调迭代方法对于一类二阶两点边值的问题的正解建立了单调迭代程序。这些迭代程序都是从常值函数开始的，因而是可行并且有效的。     

An expansion in the exponent for compound binomial approximations

The purpose of this paper is two-fold. First, we introduce a new asymptotic expansion in the exponent for the compound binomial approximation of the generalized Poisson binomial distribution. The dependence of its accuracy on the symmetry and shifting of distributions is investigated. Second, for compound binomial and compound Poisson distributions, we present new smoothness estimates, some of which contain explicit constants. Finally, the ideas used in this paper enable us to prove new precise bounds in the compound Poisson approximation. Martin Boundaries of Elliptic Skew Products, Semismall Perturbations, and Fundamental Solutions of Parabolic Equations

We consider positive solutions of elliptic partial differential equations on non-compact domains of Riemannian manifolds. We explicitly determine Martin boundaries and Martin kernels for a class of elliptic equations in skew product form by exploiting and developing perturbation theory for elliptic equations and short/long-time estimates for fundamental solutions of parabolic equations.     

On quasi-conformally flat weakly Ricci symmetric manifolds

The object of the present paper is to study quasi-conformally flat weakly Ricci symmetric manifolds.      

Adaptive Interpolation by Scaled Multiquadrics

We present an adaptive method to extract shape-preserving information from a univariate data sample. The behavior of the signal is obtained by interpolating at adaptively selected few data points by a linear combination of multiquadrics with variable scaling parameters. On the theoretical side, we give a sufficient condition for existence of the scaled multiquadric interpolant. On the practical side, we give various examples to show the applicability of the method.
