The Structure Theorem of Weak Comodule Algebras

This article mainly gives the structure theorem of weak comodule algebras, that is, assume that H is a weak Hopf algebra, and B a weak right H-comodule algebra, if there exists a morphism φ: H → B of a weak right H-comodule algebras, then there exists an algebra isomorphism: B ? B ^coH #H, where B ^coH denotes the coinvariant subalgebra of B, and B ^coH #H denotes the weak smash product.

The Structure of Hopf Algebras with a Weak Projection

We analyze the structure of a Hopf algebra H that has a Hopf subalgebra H " and a left H "-module coalgebra projection onto H ". In this situation H H " Q for Q = H / H "⁺ H, and the Hopf algebra structure on H can be recovered from suitable structures on Q, among others an in general nonassociative multiplication. The construction of H from H " and Q generalizes Radford biproduct, double crossproducts, and certain bicrossproducts. Further examples are Hopf algebras with a triangular decomposition, like all quantized enveloping algebras. In an appendix, we improve a standard criterion for a bicrossproduct A B of two Hopf algebras to be a Hopf algebra, and we show that in this case the antipode of the bicrossproduct is bijective if the antipodes of the factors are.     

The Factorization Problem and the Smash Biproduct of Algebras and Coalgebras

We consider the factorization problem for bialgebras. Let L and H be algebras and coalgebras (but not necessarily bialgebras) and consider two maps R : H L L H and W : L H H L. We introduce a product K = L _{W R} H and we give necessary and sufficient conditions for K to be a bialgebra. Our construction generalizes products introduced by Majid and Radford. Also, some of the pointed Hopf algebras that were recently constructed by Beattie, Dsclescu and Grünenfelder appear as special cases.

Modeling rock fragmentation by coupling Voronoi diagram and discretized virtual internal bond

The rock fragmentation involves the inter-block and the intra-block fracture. A simulation method for rock fragmentation is developed by coupling Voronoi diagram (VD) and discretized virtual internal bond (DVIB). The DVIB is a lattice model that consists of bonds. The VD is used to generate the potential block structure in the DVIB mesh. Each potential block may contain any number of bond cells. To characterize the inter-block fracture, a hyperelastic bond potential is employed for the bond cells that are cut by the VD edges. While to characterize the intra-block fracture, an elastobrittle bond potential is adopted for the bonds in a block. By this method, both the inter-block and intra-block fracture can be well simulated. The simulation results suggest that this method is a simple and efficient approach to rock fragmentation simulation with block smash.     

On L-R Smash Products of Hopf Algebras

Let H be a Hopf algebra and A an H-bimodule algebra. This article investigates homological dimensions and Gorenstein dimensions of L-R smash products A?H. Several well-known results are generalized. Moreover, we explore the stability of Gorenstein projective (flat) precovers and Gorenstein injective preenvelopes between the category of left A-modules and the category of left A?H-modules.
