Regional variation of seasonal correction factors for indoor radon levels

Radon levels measured for any duration less than one year are subject to seasonal variation. Such radon measurements must therefore be adjusted using an appropriate seasonal correction factor in order to estimate an annual average radon level. Radon mapping has shown that radon concentrations vary between regions within a country but there has been little work examining regional variation in the seasonality of radon levels. This paper investigates this regional variation in indoor radon seasonality in Ireland. Mean regional seasonal correction factors are estimated through Fourier decomposition and we find that there is significant regional variation in the computed seasonal correction factors. We conclude that the use of one national set of mean seasonal correction factors may not be appropriate in all countries.

Vague集上的正规距离与正规相似度

距离与相似度是Vague集上的一对对偶概念,给出了Vague集上加强的距离的公理化定义,引入了正规距离与正规相似度的概念,提出了Vague集上距离的一个一般公式,通过对Vague值的探讨给出了该一般公式成为正规距离的充分条件,同时得到Vague集上的一个新的正规距离公式.最后通过数据分析得出由此正规距离公式生成的正规相似度是合理有效的.     

Some Characterizations of Left Weakly Regular Ordered Semigroups

In this paper, the notion of left weakly regular ordered semigroups is introduced. Furthermore, left weakly regular ordered semigroups are characterized by the properties of their left ideals, right ideals and （generalized） bi-ideals, and also by the properties of their fuzzy left ideals, fuzzy right ideals and fuzzy （generalized） bi-ideals.

Antidesigns and regularity of partial spreads in dual polar graphs

We give several examples of designs and antidesigns in classical finite polar spaces. These types of subsets of maximal totally isotropic subspaces generalize the dualization of the concepts of m ‐ovoids and tight sets of points in generalized quadrangles. We also consider regularity of partial spreads and spreads. The techniques that we apply were developed by Delsarte.
