Tomography phase microscopy (TPM) is a new microscopic method that can quantitatively yield the volumetric 3D distribution of a sample׳s refractive index (RI), which is significant for cell biology research. In this paper, a controllable TPM system is introduced. In this system a circulatory phase-shifting method and piezoelectric ceramic are used which enable the TPM system to record the 3D RI distribution at a more controllable speed, from 1 to 40 fps, than in the other TPM systems reported. The resolution of the RI distribution obtained by this controllable TPM is much better than that in images recorded by phase contrast microscopy and interference tomography microscopy. The realization of controllable TPM not only allows for the application of TPM to the measurement of kinds of RI sample, but also contributes to academic and technological support for the practical use of TPM.  相似文献

Optical and static dielectric studies on a terminally fluorinated liquid crystalline compound have been carried out. Measurements of temperature variation of refractive indices of the compound are done by using thin prism method. A four-parameter model is validated by fitting the experimentally measured values of refractive indices, birefringence and average refractive indices of the compound with the theoretical ones. Refractive index and density data are utilized for determination of orientational order parameter. The temperature variation of dielectric permittivities of the compound are measured by a LCR meter.  相似文献

A tandem queueing system with infinite and finite intermediate buffers, heterogeneous customers and generalized phase-type service time distribution at the second stage is investigated. The first stage of the tandem has a finite number of servers without buffer. The second stage consists of an infinite and a finite buffers and a finite number of servers. The arrival flow of customers is described by a Marked Markovian arrival process. Type 1 customers arrive to the first stage while type 2 customers arrive to the second stage directly. The service time at the first stage has an exponential distribution. The service times of type 1 and type 2 customers at the second stage have a phase-type distribution with different parameters. During a waiting period in the intermediate buffer, type 1 customers can be impatient and leave the system. The ergodicity condition and the steady-state distribution of the system states are analyzed. Some key performance measures are calculated. The Laplace–Stieltjes transform of the sojourn time distribution of type 2 customers is derived. Numerical examples are presented.  相似文献

The identification of trigger bonds, bonds that break to initiate explosive decomposition, using computational methods could help direct the development of novel, “green” and efficient high energy density materials (HEDMs). Comparing bond densities in energetic materials to reference molecules using Wiberg bond indices (WBIs) provides a relative scale for bond activation (%ΔWBIs) to assign trigger bonds in a set of 63 nitroaromatic conventional energetic molecules. Intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions enhance contributions of resonance structures that strengthen, or deactivate, the C NO2 trigger bonds and reduce the sensitivity of nitroaniline‐based HEDMs. In contrast, unidirectional hydrogen bonding in nitrophenols strengthens the bond to the hydrogen bond acceptor, but the phenol lone pairs repel and activate an adjacent nitro group. Steric effects, electron withdrawing groups and greater nitro dihedral angles also activate the C NO2 trigger bonds. %ΔWBIs indicate that nitro groups within an energetic molecule are not all necessarily equally activated to contribute to initiation. %ΔWBIs generally correlate well with impact sensitivity, especially for HEDMs with intramolecular hydrogen bonding, and are a better measure of trigger bond strength than bond dissociation energies (BDEs). However, the method is less effective for HEDMs with significant secondary effects in the solid state. Assignment of trigger bonds using %ΔWBIs could contribute to understanding the effect of intramolecular interactions on energetic properties. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Although auxins were the first type of plant hormone to be identified, little is known about the molecular mechanism of this important class of plant hormones. We present a classification of a set of about 50 compounds with measured auxin activities, according to their interaction properties. Four classes of compounds were defined: strongly active, weakly active with weak antiauxin behaviour, inactive and inhibitory. All compounds were modeled in two low-energy conformations, P and T, so as to obtain the best match to the planar and tilted conformations, respectively, of indole 3-acetic acid. Each set of conformers was superimposed separately using several different alignment schemes. Molecular interaction energy fields were computed for each molecule with five different chemical probes and then compared by computing similarity indices. Similarity analysis showed that the classes are on average distinguishable, with better differentiation achieved for the T conformers than the P conformers. This indicates that the T conformation might be the active one. Further, a screening was developed which could distinguish compounds with auxin activity from inactive compounds and most antiauxins using the T conformers. The classifications rationalize ambiguities in activity data found in the literature and should be of value in predicting the activities of new plant growth substances and herbicides.  相似文献

Our proof relies on estimating the number of radial solutions having a prescribed number of nodal regions.
