L p -dual Quermassintegral sums

In this paper, we first introduce a concept of L _p -dual Quermassintegral sum function of convex bodies and establish the polar projection Minkowski inequality and the polar projection Aleksandrov-Fenchel inequality for L _p -dual Quermassintegral sums. Moreover, by using Lutwak’s width-integral of index i, we establish the L _p -Brunn-Minkowski inequality for the polar mixed projection bodies. As applications, we prove some interrelated results. BOUNDEDNESS OF FRACTIONAL INTEGRALS IN HARDY SPACES WITH NON-DOUBLING MEASURE - In Memory of Professor Sun Yongsheng

Let μ be a Borel measure on Rd which may be non doubling. The only condition that μ must satisfy is μ(Q) ≤ col(Q)n for any cube Q () Rd with sides parallel to the coordinate axes and for some fixed n with 0 ＜ n ≤ d. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a boundedness property of fractional integrals in Hardy spaces H1 (μ).

The Nature of Electronic Charge

Advances in gauge theories and unified theories have not thrown light on the meaning of electron. The problem of the origin of electronic charge is made precise, new insights gained from Weyl space are summarized, and the origin of charge in terms of fractional spin is suggested. A new perspective on the abelian Chern-Simons theory is presented to explain charge.

On a Polynomial Fractional Formulation for Independence Number of a Graph

In this paper we characterize the local maxima of a continuous global optimization formulation for finding the independence number of a graph. Classical Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions and simple combinatorial arguments are found sufficient to deduce several interesting properties of the local and global maxima. These properties can be utilized in developing new approaches to the maximum independent set problem.     

Detailed Description of Mixed Symmetry States in 94Mo Using Interacting Boson Model

We have investigated the low-lying collective states and electromagnetic transitions in 94Mo within the framework of the interacting boson model. The influence of model parameters on the energy levels and electromagnetic properties has been investigated. The analysis of the obtained results and the parameter values predict that the 23+state is the lowest mixed symmetry state with pure F = Fmax - 1 in this nucleus. The calculated results predicate that the 25+ (two-Q-phonon) mixed symmetry state is closed to the J = 2+ at 2.870 MeV in the experimental data, and the 2.965 MeV state is the lowest mixed symmetry with J = 3+.     

Generalized fractional programming duality: A parametric approach
