Haemodynamically induced stress plays an important role in the progression and rupture of cerebral aneurysms. The current work describes computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid–structure interaction (FSI) and computational structural dynamics (CSD) simulations in an anatomically realistic model of a carotid artery with two saccular cerebral aneurysms in the ophthalmic region. The model was obtained from three-dimensional (3D) rotational angiographic imaging data. CFD and FSI were studied under a physiologically representative waveform of inflow. The arterial wall was assumed elastic or hyperelastic, as a 3D solid or as a shell depending on the type of modelling used. The flow was assumed to be laminar, non-Newtonian and incompressible. The CFD, FSI and CSD models were solved with the finite elements package ADINA. Predictions of velocity field and wall shear stress (WSS) on the aneurysms made using CFD and FSI were compared. The CSD model of the aneurysms using complete geometry was compared with isolated aneurysm models. Additionally, the effects of hypertensive pressure on CSD aneurysm models are also reported. The vortex structure, WSS, effective stress, strain and displacement of the aneurysm walls showed differences, depending on the type of modelling used.  相似文献

In the problems of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) the mesh updating scheme plays a key role. We have developed an adaptive mesh rezoning technique which is applicable to the three-dimensional FSI problems. In order to prevent the inversion of elements in the mesh and to maintain a well-conditioned shape for successive time-step calculations, we introduce constrained conditions of dilatational strain in the least-square form as well as the gradient of displacement vectors, in relatively small elements. By the present mesh rezoning technique, even under the large deformation of boundaries concerned, we can reduce the use of the process of mesh generation and switching of nodal values at the interboundary of time slabs. These steps require rather significant CPU time and induced projection errors of nodal values from the previous mesh to the current one. The case of collapsing tube problems shows the remarkable potential of our method. The present method is entirely general in that it can be applied to structured and unstructured meshes, effectively.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a novel method for the simulation of aerodynamic admittance of turbulent wind on bluff line-like structures using a pseudo 3D model of Vortex Particle Method (VPM). The method is a computationally efficient extension of the 2D VPM, where a coupled set of simulation slices accounts for the 3D nature of the oncoming wind flow. Pre-computed vortex particles are seeded in each of the parallel 2D simulation slices in order to model the turbulent velocity perturbations. Here, the modelling of the inflow seeding particles is enhanced, reducing the computational cost and allowing extendibility into quasi 3D domain. This a priori computation of the seeding vortex particles is based on modelling the atmospheric turbulence characteristics. The method is applied to simulate turbulent flow around an infinitesimally thin flat-plate, to asses its validity at the viscous-rotational boundary layer, which is important for accurate fluid-structure Interaction simulations. ABSTRACT

In this paper, effects of two wires magnetic field on heat transfer and biomagnetic fluid flow in an aneurysm have been investigated using the ferrohydrodynamics model. Using the finite volume method and the SIMPLE algorithm, the governing equations have been discretised. Simulations have been carried out for both conditions of wires in the same and opposite directions and different magnetic numbers of 41 and 82. Results show that the magnetic field causes a decrease in heat transfer of blood flow towards the walls. Moreover, major energy loss or pressure drop, arising from mean wall shear stress, decreases but local or minor energy loss, arising from aneurysm vortexes, increases. Furthermore, risk factors of aneurysm rupture is decreased under the effect of the magnetic field. The effective contact surface between drug-coated magnetic nanoparticles and the aneurysm tissue may increase and residence time of drug on the cells of the region would decrease.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A framework based on incremental proper orthogonal decomposition (iPOD) and data mining to perform large-scale computational data analysis is presented. It includes iPOD to incrementally reduce data dimensions and decouple dynamic flow structures in massive CFD data; data mining to classify and identify candidate global regions of interest (ROIs) for focused analysis; feature detection to capture key flow features and ultimate ROIs (UROIs); and targeted data storage and visualisation. Quantitative results show that iPOD is able to process large datasets that overwhelm the batch-POD, leading to 4–16× data reduction in the temporal domain. Data mining and feature detection algorithms, respectively, identify 50–70% of the spatial domain with high probability of flow feature occurrence and only 2–30% containing key flow features. The UROI and associated data can be selectively stored and visualised. In contrast to batch-POD, iPOD reduces memory usage by more than 10× and time by up to 75%.  相似文献

This paper gives an overview on nonlinear porous flow in low permeability porous media, reveals the microscopic mechanisms of flows, and clarifies properties of porous flow fluids. It shows that, deviating from Darcy's linear law, the porous flow characteristics obey a nonlinear law in a low-permeability porous medium, and the viscosity of the porous flow fluid and the permeability values of water and oil are not constants. Based on these characters, a new porous flow model, which can better describe low permeability reservoir, is established. This model can describe various patterns of porous flow, as Darcy's linear law does. All the parameters involved in the model, having definite physical meanings, can be obtained directly from the experiments.  相似文献

The accuracy of MUSCL upwind and Yee-Roe-Davis symmetric TVD schemes for simulating low Mach number flow is studied through a numerical experiment of the 2-D lid driven cavity problem. The steady slate solution is reached by using a marching approach based on the pseudocompressibilty method in conjunction with implicit approximate factorization. A finite volume discretization of the conservation equations is used with a four level multigrid method to accelerate the convergence. The tests performed which were in the range of 100 ≤ Re ≤ 5000, show that the Yee-Roe-Davis symmetric scheme generates results in very good agreement with the benchmark results over this range of Re. The MUSCL upwind scheme accuracy deteriorates with the increasing Re.  相似文献

探讨工作记忆、中央执行功能子成分与流体智力的关系.以秦巴山区18~40岁健康成人为研究对象,通过对中央执行功能子成分、工作记忆广度以及流体智力的测量,分析了各变量之间的关系,并进一步探讨了中央执行功能各子成分的可分离性.得到 (1)工作记忆中的中央执行功能具有可分离性;(2)工作记忆广度与瑞文测验成绩之间的显著相关是刷新功能的作用;(3)相对于抑制功能和转换功能,刷新功能对流体智力具有更强的预测效应和解释力.  相似文献

In the present study, we discuss the peristaltic flow of a Johnson-Segalman fluid in an endoscope. Perturbation, homotopy, and numerical solutions are found for the non-linear differential equation. The comparative study is also made to check the validity of the solutions. The expressions for pressure rise frictional forces, pressure gradient, and stream lines are presented to interpret the behavior of various physical quantities of the Johnson-Segalman fluid.  相似文献

用非结构网格有限体积法求解自然对流换热时,传统的对流项离散格式难以兼顾数值精度与计算效率,我们发展了一种耦合高精度格式的延迟修正方法,用于对流项的离散.高Re数下方腔驱动流数值计算验证了该方法具有较高的计算精度和较好的稳定性.Boussinesq流体的自然对流换热数值模拟,表明该方法能有效克服高Ra数时数值计算发散,可准确捕捉自然对流换热问题中不同偏心率下的等温线和流线分布特征.  相似文献
