A semi-analytical numerical method for time-dependent radiative transfer problems in slab geometry with coherent isotropic scattering

We describe a semi-analytical numerical method for coherent isotropic scattering time-dependent radiative transfer problems in slab geometry. This numerical method is based on a combination of two classes of numerical methods: the spectral methods and the Laplace transform (LTS_N) methods applied to the radiative transfer equation in the discrete ordinates (S_N) formulation. The basic idea is to use the essence of the spectral methods and expand the intensity of radiation in a truncated series of Laguerre polynomials in the time variable and then solve recursively the resulting set of “time-independent” S_N problems by using the LTS_N method. We show some numerical experiments for a typical model problem.     

Cycle and circle tests of balance in gain graphs: Forbidden minors and their groups

We examine two criteria for balance of a gain graph, one based on binary cycles and one on circles. The graphs for which each criterion is valid depend on the set of allowed gain groups. The binary cycle test is invalid, except for forests, if any possible gain group has an element of odd order. Assuming all groups are allowed, or all abelian groups, or merely the cyclic group of order 3, we characterize, both constructively and by forbidden minors, the graphs for which the circle test is valid. It turns out that these three classes of groups have the same set of forbidden minors. The exact reason for the importance of the ternary cyclic group is not clear. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. SINGULAR PERTURBATION OF BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR NONLINEAR HIGHER ORDER ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS INVOLVING TWO SMALL PARAMETERS

The singularly perturbed boundary value problem for nonlinear higher order ordinary differential equation involving two small parameters has been considered. Under appropriate assumptions, for the three cases:ε/μ2→0(μ→0),μ2/ε→0 (ε→0) andε=μ2, the uniformly valid asymptotic solution is obtained by using the expansion method of two small parameters and the theory of differential inequality.

本文对带时间窗的车辆路线安排扰动恢复问题进行了讨论,分析了各种可能的扰动:增加减少客户,时间窗、客户需求及路线可行性的扰动,构造了扰动模型.利用禁忌搜索算法对问题进行求解,同时通过对模型参数重新设置,得到了多个满足要求的不同的解,这样使解更具有实际可行性和有效性.     

Isotopic families of contact manifolds for elliptic PDE

A test for a function to be a solution of an elliptic PDE is given in terms of extensions, as solutions, from the boundaries inside the domains belonging to an isotopic family. It generalizes a result of Ehrenpreis for spheres moved along a straight line.

     

The Neumann problem for some degenerate elliptic equations

In the paper we study the equation L _u = f, where L is a degenerate elliptic operator, with Neumann boundary condition in a bounded open set μ. We prove existence and uniqueness of solutions in the space H(μ) for the Neumann problem.

A possible counterexample to well posedness of entropy solutions and to Godunov scheme convergence

A particular case of initial data for the two-dimensional Euler equations is studied numerically. The results show that the Godunov method does not always converge to the physical solution, at least not on feasible grids. Moreover, they suggest that entropy solutions (in the weak entropy inequality sense) are not well posed.

     

可重构制造系统重组过程中设备选择模型的研究

根据生产任务选择加工设备进行制造资源重组是实现可重构制造系统的关键问题之一，由于设备的选择涉及到多种因素，既有定量指标，又有定性指标，传统的依靠人工经验的方法显得力不从心。本文首先结合实际情况，提出了一套设备选择评价体系，通过对模糊判断矩阵采用最小对数二乘法确定各评价因素的权重系数，针对定性指标和定量指标采用不同的方法确定其性能指标值，通过模糊积分对评判指标进行综合评判，最后进行了实例研究。所提出的方法有效地简化了决策过程，为可重构制造系统设备选择提供了一套行之有效的方法。     

A new family of proximity graphs: Class cover catch digraphs

Motivated by issues in machine learning and statistical pattern classification, we investigate a class cover problem (CCP) with an associated family of directed graphs—class cover catch digraphs (CCCDs). CCCDs are a special case of catch digraphs. Solving the underlying CCP is equivalent to finding a smallest cardinality dominating set for the associated CCCD, which in turn provides regularization for statistical pattern classification. Some relevant properties of CCCDs are studied and a characterization of a family of CCCDs is given.
