Optical constants and dielectric function of DNA's nucleotides in UV range

We calculated frequency-dependent real n(ω) and imaginary k(ω) parts of the complex refractive index for adenine A, guanine G, cytosine C and thymine T in ultraviolet range using Kramers-Kroning analysis of their absorption spectra. The frequency-dependent real ε′(ω) and imaginary ε″(ω) parts of the dielectric function for the corresponding nucleotides were restored. We calculated also the dependence of the dielectric function on the imaginary frequency ε(iω) for the corresponding nucleotides.     

The impact of metrological traceability on the validity of creatinine measurement as an index of renal function

When the calibration of a routine measurement procedure is traced back to metrological higher order, a significant discrepancy can occur between the analytical conditions of the routine measurement and the analytical conditions that were used in the clinical studies upon which the decision-making criteria are based. This can lead to serious interpretation errors with possible dramatic consequences for patients. The calibration of the creatinine Jaffé method is an excellent example of the importance of medical traceability. The compensated Jaffé method correlated accurately with the reference method and the compensated Jaffé creatinine clearance (CrCl), Cockroft and Gault and MDRD with the ⁵¹Cr EDTA clearance. The Schwartz estimate based upon the compensated Jaffé and enzymatic method overestimated, while uncompensated Jaffé slightly underestimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR). The situation in children is complex since serum creatinine concentrations are much lower in infants, rendering tubular secretion relatively more important. Low-molecular weight proteins have been suggested to replace serum creatinine as a marker for GFR. -trace protein, cystatin C, and ₂-microglobulin showed good correlation with GFR. However, care should be taken in patients presenting with some malignant tumors, since significant increases of cystatin C in patients with metastatic melanoma or colorectal cancer has been reported.Presented at the 9th Conference on Quality in the Spotlight, 18-19 March 2004, Antwerp, Belgium     

碳原子线的电子传输特性

单分子电子器件的电子传输特性是当前分子电子学领域研究的热点.本文采用第一原理的ab inito法与格林函数方法,对Au电极-碳原子线-Au电极体系的电子结构以及电子传输等特性进行了分析,给出了C5、C10与C15原子线的电导 -电压曲线与伏安曲线.研究结果表明:碳原子线与Au电极之间的"接触"(结合)既有共价键的成分,又有离子键的成分;碳原子线的电导率及伏安特性具有特殊的量子效应和尺寸效应.     

On an additive representation function

Let A be an infinite subset of natural numbers, and X a positive real number. Let r(n) denotes the number of solution of the equation n=a₁+a₂ where a₁?a₂ and a₁, a₂∈A. Also let |A(X)| denotes the number of natural numbers which are less than or equal to X and belong to A. For those A which satisfy the condition that for all sufficiently large natural numbers n we have r(n)≠1, we improve the lower bound of |A(X)| given by Nicolas et. al. [NRS98]. The bound which we obtain is essentially best possible.     

Polynomial functions and permutation polynomials over some finite commutative rings

We extend some classical results on polynomial functions . We prove all results in algebraic methods avoiding any combinatorial calculation. As applications of our methods, we obtain some interesting new results on permutation polynomials in several variables over some finite commutative rings.     

On Strongly Petrovskii's Parabolic SPDEs in Arbitrary Dimension and Application to the Stochastic Cahn–Hilliard Equation

In this paper we show that the Cahn–Hilliard stochastic PDE has a function valued solution in dimension 4 and 5 when the perturbation is driven by a space-correlated Gaussian noise. We study the regularity of the trajectories of the solution and the absolute continuity of its law at some given time and position. This is done by showing a priori estimates which heavily depend on the specific equation, and by proving general results on stochastic and deterministic integrals involving general operators on smooth domains of ^d which are parabolic in the sense of Petrovskii, and do not necessarily define a semi-group of operators. These last estimates might be used in a more general framework.     

有限元超收敛新论

本文从三个方面讨论二阶椭圆问题有限元超收敛．1．一致网格上的新超收敛结果．利用新的“投影型插值”,我们解决了高次三角形元的超收敛问题．2．一般网格的超收敛性．利用局部插值处理和局部磨光处理我们获得了整体超收敛性结果．3．关于当前的两种超收敛技巧．Cornell学派利用一个精致的内估计和网格的点对称性,获得了一个“普遍”的结果,中国学派利用两个基本估计和离散Green函数理论获得了令人满意的结果,两者均很复杂．本文综合了两个学派的方法,简洁地证得上述普遍结果．     

Equivalence of Differential System

Using reflecting function of Mironenko we construct some differential systems which are equivalentto the given differential system.This gives us an opportunity to find out the monodromic matrix of these periodicsystems which are not integrable in finite terms.     

Inequalities of Hadamard Type for r-Convex Functions in Carnot Groups

For a Carnot group G,we establish the relationship between extended mean values and r-convexfunctions which is introduced in this paper,which is a class of inequalities of Hadamard type for r-convexfunction on G.
