The crystal structure of quasi-one-dimensional compound Ni[S₂CPyrd]₂ (Pyrd=pyrrolidine) has been determined by X-ray diffraction technique. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2₁/c, with lattice parameters a=0.631 6(1) nm, b=0.746 5(2) nm, c=1.576 5(4) nm, β=106.08(3)°, and Z=2. The nickel atom had a square-planar geometry. The most prominent feature in the crystal structure is that the bis(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato) nickel(Ⅱ) forms a well-separated stacking column along the a-axis through supramolecular interaction, and they are uniformly spaced to give a helical one-dimensional chain structure. Additive Derivations on Jordan Banach Pairs

Abstract

We show the invariance of “almost all” primitive ideals under additive derivations on a Jordan Banach pair and we extend the well known result of Johnson and Sinclair to the Jordan Banach pairs framework.     

On the structure of semi-invariant polynomials in Ore extensions

Let D be an X-outer S-derivation of a prime ring R, where S is an automorphism of R. The following is proved among other things: The degree of the minimal semi-invariant polynomial of the Ore extension R[X;S,D] is ν if charR=0, and is p^kν for some k0 if charR=p2, where ν is the least integer ν1 such that S^νDS^−ν−D is X-inner. A similar result holds for cv-polynomials. These are done by introducing the new notion of k-basic polynomials for each integer k0, which enable us to analyze semi-invariant polynomials inductively.

On Jordan Left Derivations of Lie Ideals in Prime Rings

Let R be a prime ring with characteristic different from two and U be a Lie ideal of R such that u² U for all u U. Lie triple derivations on nest algebras

Let δ be a Lie triple derivation from a nest algebra ?? into an ??‐bimodule ??. We show that if ?? is a weak* closed operator algebra containing ?? then there are an element S ∈ ?? and a linear functional f on ?? such that δ (A) = SA – AS + f (A)I for all A ∈ ??, and if ?? is the ideal of all compact operators then there is a compact operator K such that δ (A) = KA – AK for all A ∈ ??. Linearization of polynomial flows and spectra of derivations

We show that a polynomial flow is a solution of a linear ordinary differential equation. From this, we draw conclusions about the possible dynamics of polynomial flows. We also show how point spectra of derivations associated with polynomial vector fields can be used to identify p-f vector fields.This paper is based on research done during the author's postdoctoral appointments at the IMA.
