We show that Sobczyk's Theorem holds for a new class of Banach spaces, namely spaces of continuous functions on linearly ordered compacta.     

A note on the monotone functional interpretation

We prove a result relating the author's monotone functional interpretation to the bounded functional interpretation due to Ferreira and Oliva. More precisely we show that (over model of majorizable functionals) largely a solution for the bounded interpretation also is a solution for the monotone functional interpretation although the latter uses the existence of an underlying precise witness. This makes it possible to focus on the extraction of bounds (as in the bounded interpretation) while using the conceptual benefit of having precise realizers at the same time without having to construct them.     

Muntz Rational Approximation for Special Function Classes in Orlicz Spaces

Using the method of construction,with the help of inequalities,we research the Muntz rational approximation of two kinds of special function classes,and give the corresponding estimates of approximation rates of these classes under widely conditions.Because of the Orlicz Spaces is bigger than continuous function space and the Lp space,so the results of this paper has a certain expansion significance.     

Multilinear Fractional Integral Op erators on Morrey Spaces with Variable Exp onent on Bounded Domain

We prove the boundedness of multilinear fractional integral operators on products of the variable exponent Morrey spaces on bounded domain.     

Approximation by a sequence of operators of the Srivastava‐Gupta type involving the Brenke polynomials with a certain parameter

We introduce a new sequence of linear positive operators by combining the Brenke polynomials and the Srivastava‐Gupta–type operators defined by Srivastava‐Gupta. obtain the moments of the operators and present some classical and statistical approximation properties by means of Korovkin results. Next, we estimate a global result, which includes the Voronovskaya‐type asymptotic formula, local approximation, error estimation in terms of weighted modulus of continuity, and for functions in a Lipschitz‐type space. Lastly, we estimate the rate of approximation for functions with derivatives of bounded variation.     

Hypertopologies on function spaces

The aim of this paper is to continue Naimpally’s seminal papers [16], [17], [18], i.e. we investigate topological properties of spaces which force the coincidence of convergences of functions associated with different hyperspace topologies. For example a metric spaceX is locally compact iff the topological convergence and the convergence induced by the Fell topology coincide onC(X,IR). Moreover, the proximal topology on the space of functions, not necessarily continuous, is studied in great detail.     

Q-matrices and boundedness of solutions to linear complementarity problems

This paper is concerned with the existence and boundedness of the solutions to the linear complementarity problemw=Mz+q,w0,z0,w ^T z=0, for eachq ⁿ . It has been previously established that, ifM is copositive plus, then the solution set is nonempty and bounded for eachq ⁿ iffM is aQ-matrix. This result is shown to be valid also forL ₂-matrices,P ₀-matrices, nonnegative matrices, andZ-matrices.     

Shape analysis and damped oscillatory solutions for a class of nonlinear wave equation with quintic term简

This paper aims at analyzing the shapes of the bounded traveling wave solu- tions for a class of nonlinear wave equation with a quintic term and obtaining its damped oscillatory solutions. The theory and method of planar dynamical systems are used to make a qualitative analysis to the planar dynamical system which the bounded traveling wave solutions of this equation correspond to. The shapes, existent number, and condi- tions are presented for all bounded traveling wave solutions. The bounded traveling wave solutions are obtained by the undetermined coefficients method according to their shapes, including exact expressions of bell and kink profile solitary wave solutions and approxi- mate expressions of damped oscillatory solutions. For the approximate damped oscillatory solution, using the homogenization principle, its error estimate is given by establishing the integral equation, which reflects the relation between the exact and approximate so- lutions. It can be seen that the error is infinitesimal decreasing in the exponential form.
