Non-linear Semigroup of a Class of Abstract Semilinear Functional Differential Equations with a Non-Dense Domain

In this work, we are concerned with a general class of abstract semilinear autonomous functional differential equations with a non-dense domain on a Banach space. Our objective is to study, using the Crandall-Liggett approach, the solutions as a semigroup of non-linear operators.

American put option with jump-diffusion can be modelled as a vari- ational inequality problem with an integral term.Under the stability condition (σ~2Δt)/(Δx~2)≤1,whereΔx=ln(S_n 1)/(S_n),the convergence rate O((Δx)~(2/3) (Δt)~(1/3))of the explicit finite scheme for this problem is obtained by using penalization technique. The binomial tree scheme of this model,which is equivalent to the explicit scheme, is convergent by the same rate.

In this paper, a difference scheme is derived for the one dimensionallinear hyperbolic differential equation with derivative boundary conditions by themethod of reduction of order. It is proved that the scheme is unconditionally sta-ble, uniquely solvable and second order convergent in L∞ norm. Two numericalexamples are presented.
