关于两类重要微分不等式

本文研究了两类重要微分不等式有界解的性质。引入了赋范线性空间(f,‖‖M),利用比较定理和黎卡提方程解的性质,给出了有界解的上界估计式,推广和改进了文[1,2]中的有关结果.     

Nontrivial Solutions for Resonant Hemivariational Inequalities

We study a resonant semilinear elliptic hemivariational inequality. Under some assumptions of strong resonance on the Clarke subdifferential of the superpotential, and using nonsmooth critical point theory, the existence of a nontrivial solution of the problem is shown. This paper has been partially supported by the State Committee for Scientific Research of Poland (KBN) under research grants no. 2 P03A 003 25 and no. 4 T07A 027 26.     

Nonlinear Schrödinger equations with symmetric multi-polar potentials

This paper deals with a class of nonlinear elliptic equations involving a critical power-nonlinearity as well as a potential featuring multiple inverse square singularities. When the poles form a symmetric structure, it is natural we wonder how the symmetry affects such mutual interaction. The present paper means to study this aspect from the point of view of the existence of solutions inheriting the same symmetry properties as the set of singularities. Quantum Inequality Bounds for Free Rarita-Schwinger Field in Flat Spacetime

Although quantum field theory allows the local energy density negative, it also places severe restrictions on the negative energy. One of the restrictions is the quantum energy inequality (QEI), in which the energy density is averaged over time, or space, or over space and time. By now temporal QEIs have been established for various quantum fields, but less work has been done for the spacetime quantum energy inequality. In this paper we deal with the free Rarita-Schwinger field and present a quantum inequality bound on the energy density averaged over space and time.Comparison with the QEI for the Rarita-Schwinger field shows that the lower bound is the same with the QEI. At the same time, we find the quantum inequality for the Rarita-Schwinger field is weaker than those for the scalar and Dirac fields. This fact gives further support to the conjecture that the more freedom the field has, the more easily the field displays negative energy density and the weaker the quantum inequality becomes.     

Derived Lengths of Solvable Groups Having Five Irreducible Character Degrees II

Let G be a solvable group with five character degrees. Suppose that there is some prime p so that G/O ^p (G) is not Abelian. Also, assume that cd(G) contains a degree that is not divisible by p. Under these hypotheses, we show that the derived length of G is at most 4.     

Tests of ordered hypotheses in linkage in heredity

The asymptotic null distribution of the likelihood ratio test for two cases of ordered hypotheses in a particular genetic model is considered. A simple iterative process is proposed in order to get the restricted estimates. It is shown that both tests have asymptotically a chi-bar squared distribution and the same size. A simulation study is also conducted in order to compare the usual unrestricted test with the corresponding one of ordered hypotheses. Finally, the results are extended to some special cases.     

Hitchin-Thorpe inequality for noncompact Einstein 4-manifolds

We prove a Hitchin-Thorpe inequality for noncompact Einstein 4-manifolds with specified asymptotic geometry at infinity. The asymptotic geometry at infinity is either a cusp bundle over a compact space (the fibered cusps) or a fiber bundle over a cone with a compact fiber (the fibered boundary). Many noncompact Einstein manifolds come with such a geometry at infinity.     

局部紧集上的广义向量均衡问题

利用数值化方法和 Browder 不动点定理,得到一类新的广义向量均衡问题解的存在定理,并用于向量变分不等式、向量相补问题和抽象向量优化问题,得到其解的存在定理.     

Self-commutator inequalities in higher dimension

Three natural multi-dimensional substitutes for the self-commutator of a Hilbert space operator are introduced and generalizations of Putnam's inequality to tuples of operators with semidefinite self-commutators are indicated. In addition, a Riesz transform model is developed and investigated.

     

Variational inequalities for monotone operators in nonreflexive Banach spaces

The purpose of this paper is to study the existence problem of solutions and perturbation problem for some kind of variational inequalities with monotone operators in nonreflexive Banach spaces, and to obtain some results.
