We compute the algebraic cycle homology for codimension 1 cycles on a variety over a perfect field; our computation agrees with Nart's computation of Bloch's higher Chow groups for codimension 1 cycles. We interpret algebraic cycle homology in terms of sheaves for Voevodsky's h-topology and use this to adapt a recent result of Suslin-Voevodsky: we establish for a complex variety that algebraic cycle homology with Z/n coefficients is naturally isomorphic to singular homology with Z/n coefficients.Partially supported by the NSF and NSA Grant #MDA904-90-H-4006.  相似文献

Two Lefschetz-type fixed point theorems are formulated in this paper. The second of these gives conditions which guarantee fixed points for maps from an inverse limit space to itself. Many of the standard fixed point results of the Lefschetz type are a consequence of these two theorems.  相似文献

We consider the extension of the notion of a projective module to that of a projective functor relative to a model set (as in Dold, MacLane, Oberst, 1967). Then taking projective resolutions of functors, we consider the usual associated homology.We show that in some cases, including the classical simplicial homology of topological spaces, the model set can be replaced by a model set having only one element. We show that when the model set consists of a single element the homology modules can be interpreted as values of the Torsion functor. In the case of simplicial homology of topological spaces these Tors will be shown to be analogous to the Tors which occur in group homology.  相似文献

For compact Lie groups, the Chern characters K*(G) Q H* DR(G;Q) have been already constructed. In this paper, we construct and study the corresponding noncommutative Chern characters. They are homomorphisms chC*: K*(C*(G)) from quantum K-groups into entire current periodic cyclic homology groups of group C*-algebras. We also obtain the corresponding algebraic version chalg: K*(C*(G)) HP*(C*(G)), which can be identified with the classical Chern character K* (C(T)) HP* (C(T)), where T is the maximal torus of G.  相似文献

The Etheory of A. Connes and N. Higson provides a new realization of Khomology based on the notion of asymptotic morphisms. In this paper we define relative Etheory, associating to a C*algebra A and an ideal I the Abelian groups Enrel(A;I). These groups are related to the Etheory groups of A and I in the familiar way by a long exact sequence and excision isomorphisms. The definition of relative Etheory is motivated by the properties of first order, elliptic differential operators on complete Riemannian manifolds. The aim of this paper is to characterize the first graded Hochschild cohomology of a hereditary algebra whose Gabriel quiver is admitted to have oriented cycles. The interesting conclusion we have obtained shows that the standard basis of the first graded Hochschild cohomology depends on the genus of a quiver as a topological object. In this paper, we overcome the limitation of the classical Hochschild cohomology for hereditary algebra where the Gabriel quiver is assumed to be acyclic. As preparation, we first investigate the graded differential operators on a path algebra and the associated graded Lie algebra.  相似文献

To a link LS3, we associate a spectral sequence whose E2 page is the reduced Khovanov homology of L and which converges to a version of the monopole Floer homology of the branched double cover. The pages Ek for k?2 depend only on the mutation equivalence class of L. We define a mod 2 grading on the spectral sequence which interpolates between the δ-grading on Khovanov homology and the mod 2 grading on Floer homology. We also derive a new formula for link signature that is well adapted to Khovanov homology.More generally, we construct new bigraded invariants of a framed link in a 3-manifold as the pages of a spectral sequence modeled on the surgery exact triangle. The differentials count monopoles over families of metrics parameterized by permutohedra. We utilize a connection between the topology of link surgeries and the combinatorics of graph-associahedra. This also yields simple realizations of permutohedra and associahedra, as refinements of hypercubes.  相似文献
