Singular homology groups of fuzzy topological spaces

Let L be a completely distributive lattice with order reversing involution, and (X, τ) an L-fuzzy topological space. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the fundamental concept of fuzzy algebraic topology-the singular homology groups of the L-fuzzy topological space, in such a way that they take the (usual) cubical singular homology groups of a topological space as a special case. Also, we shall prove that they are L-fuzzy homeomorphic invariants.

Index theory on locally homogeneous spaces

We describe how the equivariant K homology class of an invariant elliptic operator on a homogeneous space of a linear semisimple Lie group determines the L ²-index of the associated operator on a finite volume locally homogeneous space. The machinery of equivariant K homology and of KK theory can be used to prove theorems about L ²-indices. A new approach to Matsumoto's theorem

We give a proof of Matsumoto's theorem on K ₂ of a field using techniques from homological algebra. By considering a complex associated to the action of GL(2, F) on P ₁(F) (F a field), we derive the Matsumoto presentation for H ₀ (F ^., H ₂(SL(2, F))) and, by considering the action of GL(n + 1, F) on P ⁿ (F), we prove the stability part of the theorem; namely, that H ₀(F ^., H ₂(SL(2, F))) is isomorphic to H ₂(SL(F)) = K ₂(F).     

Algebraic K-Theory and the Conjectural Leibniz K-Theory

The analogy between algebraic K-theory and cyclic homology is used to build a program aiming at understanding the algebraic K-theory of fields and the periodicity phenomena in algebraic K-theory. In particular, we conjecture the existence of a Leibniz K-theory which would play the role of Hochschild homology. We propose a motivated presentation for the Leibniz K ₂-group ofa field.     

Cyclic and Hochschild homology of 2-nilpotent algebras

We compute the cyclic homology of a 2-nilpotent algebra, using a reduced way of obtaining it for an algebra containing a separable subalgebra as a direct summand.Supported by the Swiss National Foundation, FNSRS.     

Nonexistence of stable currents

In this paper, we investigate nonexistence of stable integral currents in a compact hypersurface with positive Ricci curvature in a Euclidean spaceR ^m+1 and a vanishing theorem concerning the homology group is obtained.The project was supported by NNSFC, FECC and CPSF     

Mixed Hodge structure in cyclic homology and algebraic K-theory, 1

Deligne defined the notion of a mixed Hodge structure (MHS) and proved that every quasiprojective variety over has a natural MHS on its cohomology. This paper establishes similar results for cyclic homology and the algebraic K-theory of simply connected quasi-projective varieties over . In the nonsimply connected case, an MHS is established on certain quotient groups of algebraic K-theory.Supported by a NSERC University Research Fellowship and operating grant.
