ABSTRACT

We define and discuss different enumerative methods to compute solutions of generalized Nash equilibrium problems with linear coupling constraints and mixed-integer variables. We propose both branch-and-bound methods based on merit functions for the mixed-integer game, and branch-and-prune methods that exploit the concept of dominance to make effective cuts. We show that under mild assumptions the equilibrium set of the game is finite and we define an enumerative method to compute the whole of it. We show that our branch-and-prune method can be suitably modified in order to make a general equilibrium selection over the solution set of the mixed-integer game. We define an application in economics that can be modelled as a Nash game with linear coupling constraints and mixed-integer variables, and we adapt the branch-and-prune method to efficiently solve it.  相似文献

Abstract

Functional imaging of biologic parameters like in vivo tissue metabolism is made possible by Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Many techniques have been suggested for extracting such images from dynamic time-course sequences of reconstructed PET scans. Quantitating the precision of these estimates is important for drawing inferences on the biologic parameters. Analytic variance formulas are not immediate owing to the nonlinear methods used in extraction. The usual resampling approach is infeasible because each image reconstruction in PET is a computationally demanding solution to a high-dimensional linear inverse problem. We suggest an alternative simulation approach that approximates the distribution of reconstructed PET scans and performs a parametric bootstrap in the imaging domain. Results on a simplified model chosen to match the characteristics of PET reconstruction are very encouraging. Mixture analysis is used to estimate functional images; however, the suggested approach is general enough to extend to other techniques or imaging methods.  相似文献

This paper proposes a procedure to deal with n-layered inclusion based composites with imperfect interfaces (which conditions consist of displacement or stress vector jumps) respecting spherical symmetry. For that purpose, “discontinuity matrices” have been introduced. These matrices have been derived for several classical interface-models and an asymptotic method has been used to determine some of them. A self-consistent condition based on a strain-energy equivalence in the case of inclusion-matrix type composite materials is restated for n-layered inclusions with imperfect interfaces and applied to get estimates of such composites materials. The remarkable feature of the presently self consistent approach is that it does not need any tedious algebra providing the attached interface models respect the spherical symmetry. The present Generalized Self Consistent Model (GSCM) is then used to study size effects and mismatch in composites reinforced by coated inclusions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a hybrid projection method for finding a common element in the set of fixed points of a infinite family of asymptotically quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings and in the set of solutions of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem. Some strong convergence theorems of common elements are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space which has the Kadec-Klee property. In this paper geodesic mappings of equidistant generalized Riemannian spaces are discussed. It is proved that each equidistant generalized Riemannian space of basic type admits non-trivial geodesic mapping with preserved equidistant congruence. Especially, there exists non-trivial geodesic mapping of equidistant generalized Riemannian space onto equidistant Riemannian space.
