Explicit characterizations of orthogonality in lS(C)

In a previous paper, the author used a notion of orthogonality introduced in another article to establish characterizations for orthogonality in the spaces l_S^p(C), 1?p<∞, thus obtaining generalizations of the usual characterization of orthogonality in the Hilbert spaces l_S²(C), via inner products. In this paper we make explicit these characterizations for some of the spaces l_S^p(C). We finish by presenting some remarks and open problems.

On Normal Integral Bases

in this paper, let K = Q ( ) be an abelian number field,where mi's are distinct square-free integers and Gal (K/Q ) (Z/2Z )n+1, and let k Q(M). When k is imaginary or k is real and has a unit of norm -1, we give a necessaryand sufficient condition for K/k to have a normal integral basis.     

On Minimax Fractional Optimality and Duality with Generalized Convexity

In this paper, we establish several sufficient optimality conditions for a class of generalized minimax fractional programming. Based on the sufficient conditions, a new dual model is constructed and duality results are derived. Series of moderate deviation probabilities for martingales

We study Davis-type theorems on the moderate deviation probabilities of martingale differences with finite pth moments (1?p<∞). We prove that Davis' first result holds if p>4 and fails if 1?p<4, and Davis' second result holds if p>2 and fails if 1?p<2.     

The discrete coagulation-fragmentation equations: Existence,uniqueness, and density conservation

The discrete coagulation-fragmentation equation describes the kinetics of cluster growth in which clusters can coagulate via binary interactions to form larger clusters or fragment to form smaller ones. These models have many applications in pure and applied science ranging from cluster formation in galaxies to the kinetics of phase transformations in binary alloys. Our results relate to existence, uniqueness, density conservation and continuous dependence and they generalise the corresponding results in [ref. 2] for the Becker-Doring equations for which the processes are restricted to clusters gaining or shedding one particle. Examples are given which illustrate the role of the assumptions on the kinetic coefficients and show the rich set of analytic phenomena supported by the general discrete coagulation-fragmentation equations.
