Antiplane time-harmonic green’s functions for a circular inhomogeneity with an imperfect interface

Two-dimensional antiplane time-harmonic Green’s functions for a circular inhomogeneity with an imperfect interface are derived. Here the linear spring model with vanishing thickness is employed to characterize the imperfect interface. Explicit expressions for the displacement and the stress fields induced by time-harmonic antiplane line forces located both in the unbounded matrix and in the circular inhomogeneity are presented. When the circular frequency approaches zero, our results reduce to those for the static case. Numerical results are presented to show the influence of the frequency and the imperfection of the interface on the stress and displacement fields.

Topological order in the phase diagram for high-temperature superconductors with point defects

Applying a Lindemann like criterion obtained previously by Kierfeld et al. [J. Kierfeld, T. Nattermann, T. Hwa, Phys. Rev. B 55 (1997) 626], we estimate the magnetic field and temperature for a high-T_c superconductor, at which a topologically ordered vortex glass phase becomes unstable with respect to a disorder-induced formation of dislocations. The employed criterion is shown to be equivalent to a conventional phenomenological Lindemann criterion including the values for the numerical factors, i.e., for the Lindemann number. The positional correlation length of the topologically ordered vortex glass is calculated.

Studies on the Spectral Behavior between Protein with Poniacyl Carmine 2B and its Analytical Application

In this paper, the spectral behavior of protein and Poniacyl Carmine 2B (PC 2B) has been studied by spectrophotometric method. The conditional constants, apparent combination constant K and maximum binding number n, were used to express the combination ability of the reactions between PC 2B and protein under a set of given conditions. The Sandell index s was used to express the sensitivity of the determination of protein. The factors, acidity, PC 2B concentration and the ionic strength, were discussed by the change of apparent combination constant and maximum binding number. It was found that acidity of the solution, PC 2B concentration and ionic strength had a significant effect on the sensitivity of the assay of protein. Under the optimal conditions, the apparent combination constant K and the maximum binding number n were 2.36 × 10⁶ L mol^?1 and 95, respectively. With further investigation, it was found that the Scatchard model was suitable in treating the data obtained in the experiments. In the buffer medium of HCl‐KCl at 1.87, the addition of protein made the maximum absorption of the system move from 527 nm to 513 nm. Its apparent molar absorptivity is 4.46 × 10⁵ Lmol^?1 cm^?1 at 513 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0 ? 55 μg mL^?1. The system developed in this paper has been used for the determination of protein in milk powder successfully.     

Three-way-output response system by electric potential: UV-vis, CD, and fluorescence spectral changes upon electrolysis of the chiral ester of tetracyanoanthraquinodimethane

The newly prepared tetracyanoanthraquinodimethane (TCNAQ) derivatives 1a,b with a chiral auxiliary are good electron acceptors and exhibit weak circular dichroism (CD) based on the absorption of TCNAQ. The twin-type electron acceptor 1c with two TCNAQ units shows larger ellipticity by exciton coupling. UV-vis, CD, and fluorescence spectra were changed drastically upon electrochemical reduction of 1c, which demonstrates the unprecedented three-way-output response system.
