Pseudo-Differential Operators in Algebras of Generalized Functions and Global Hypoellipticity

The aim of this work is to develop a global calculus for pseudo-differential operators acting on suitable algebras of generalized functions. In particular, a condition of global hypoellipticity of the symbols gives a result of regularity for the corresponding pseudo-differential equations. This calculus and this frame are proposed as tools for the study in Colombeau algebras of partial differential equations globally defined on R ⁿ .     

Diffusion in poro‐plastic media

A model is developed for the flow of a slightly compressible fluid through a saturated inelastic porous medium. The initial‐boundary‐value problem is a system that consists of the diffusion equation for the fluid coupled to the momentum equation for the porous solid together with a constitutive law which includes a possibly hysteretic relation of elasto‐visco‐plastic type. The variational form of this problem in Hilbert space is a non‐linear evolution equation for which the existence and uniqueness of a global strong solution is proved by means of monotonicity methods. Various degenerate situations are permitted, such as incompressible fluid, negligible porosity, or a quasi‐static momentum equation. The essential sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness of the system consist of an ellipticity condition on the term for diffusion of fluid and either a viscous or a hardening assumption in the constitutive relation for the porous solid. Low‐gain adaptive stabilization of semilinear second‐order hyperbolic systems

In this paper low‐gain adaptive stabilization of undamped semilinear second‐order hyperbolic systems is considered in the case where the input and output operators are collocated. The linearized systems have an infinite number of poles and zeros on the imaginary axis. The adaptive stabilizer is constructed by a low‐gain adaptive velocity feedback. The closed‐loop system is governed by a non‐linear evolution equation. First, the well‐posedness of the closed‐loop system is shown. Next, an energy‐like function and a multiplier function are introduced and the exponential stability of the closed‐loop system is analysed. Some examples are given to illustrate the theory. Additive Maps Preserving Nilpotent Operators or Spectral Radius

Let X be a （real or complex） Banach space with dimension greater than 2 and let B0（X） be the subspace of B（X） spanned by all nilpotent operators on X. We get a complete classification of surjective additive maps Ф on B0（X） which preserve nilpotent operators in both directions. In particular, if X is infinite-dimensional, we prove that Ф has the form either Ф（T） = cATA^-1 or Ф（T） = cAT＇A^-1, where A is an invertible bounded linear or conjugate linear operator, c is a scalar, T＇ denotes the adjoint of T. As an application of these results, we show that every additive surjective map on B（X） preserving spectral radius has a similar form to the above with ｜c｜ = 1.

讨论了ｑ形变玻色算符的广义逆算符作用于ｑ－相干态所得到的两类量子态的数学及量子统计性质。结果表明，ｑ－相干态的光子激发态不存在压缩但呈现反聚束效应，而ｑ－相干态的光子湮灭态却存在压缩但不呈现反聚束效应。     

A Survey on Explicit Representation Formulae for Fundamental Solutions of Linear Partial Differential Operators

In the present article, we aim at treating the existence of fundamental solutions of linear partial differential operators with constant coefficients from the viewpoint of setting up explicit formulae yielding fundamental solutions.

Spectral Theory for Slowly Oscillating Potentials II. Schrödinger Operators

This paper continues the investigation about the singularity theory in dual rich quasi–Banach spaces given in T. Runst [Ru 2]. The abstract results are applied to the study of the solution structure of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems in spaces of Besov – Triebel – Lizorkin type.     

A Deformation-Theoretical Approach to Weyl Quantization on Riemannian Manifolds

By using a sheaf-theoretical language, we introduce a notion of deformation quantization allowing not only for formal deformation parameters but also for real or complex ones as well. As a model for this approach to deformation quantization, we construct a quantization scheme for cotangent bundles of Riemannian manifolds. Here, we essentially use a complete symbol calculus for pseudodifferential operators on a Riemannian manifold. Depending on a scaling parameter, our quantization scheme corresponds to normally ordered, Weyl or antinormally ordered quantization. Finally, it is shown that our quantization scheme induces a family of pairwise isomorphic strongly closed star products on a cotangent bundle.
