In this paper, the dynamical cavitation behavior is analyzed for a sphere composed of a class of transversely isotropic incompressible hyper-elastic materials, where there is a pre-existing micro-void in the interior of the sphere. A second-order non-linear ordinary differential equation that governs the motion of the initial micro-void is obtained by using the boundary conditions. On analyzing the qualitative properties of the solutions of the differential equation, some interesting conclusions are proposed. It is proved that the number of equilibrium points of the differential equation depends on the values of the material parameters, and that the phase diagrams of the equation are closed, smooth and convex trajectories. For any prescribed surface tensile dead-loads, the motion of the initial micro-void undergoes a non-linear periodic oscillation. The dependence of the periodic motion of the initial micro-void on material parameters and the radius of the initial micro-void is examined, and numerical results are also provided. It is worth pointing out that the conclusions in this paper can be used to describe approximately the physical implications of the dynamical formation of a cavity in the sphere. 相似文献

利用样条小波尺度函数构造了常用的三角形和矩形薄板单元的位移函数,得到了利用小波函数表示的形函数。采用合理的局部坐标,对单元进行压缩,使单元在局部坐标区间上有其值,成功地推导出了分域的三角形和矩形薄板小波有限元列式。在此基础上,提出了弹性地基薄板的小波有限元求解方法。通过两个算例对薄板的挠度和弯矩进行了计算,数值结果表明,求解结果具有收敛快、精度高的特点。 相似文献

A general solution of the three-dimensional equilibrium problem of spherically isotropic magnetoelectroelastic media is presented. Base on the obtained general solution, exact and compact form solutions are obtained for (1) a spherically isotropic magnetoelectroelastic cone subjected to concentrated force, concentrated couple, a point charge and a point electric current at its apex; (2) a spherically isotropic magnetoelectroelastic space with a concentrated force at the origin; (3) a spherical shell under spherically symmetric deformation; and (4) stress concentration around a spherical cavity subjected to remote uniform tensile force, electric charge and electric current. 相似文献

Approximate solutions based on discretization via the Galerkin method are contrasted with direct application of the method of multiple scales to the governing partial-differential equation and boundary conditions. The amplitude and phase modulation equations show that single-mode discretization leads to erroneous qualitative as well as quantitative predictions. The non-axisymmetrical vibration of elastic circular plate resting on a layered transversely isotropic saturated ground was studied.First,the 3-d dynamic equations in cylindrical coordinate for transversely isotropic saturated soils were transformed into a group of governing differential equations with 1-order by the technique of Fourier ex- panding with respect to azimuth,and the state equation is established by Hankel integral transform method,furthermore the transfer matrixes within layered media are derived based on the solutions of the state equation.Secondly,by the transfer matrixes,the general solutions of dynamic response for layered transversely isotropic saturated ground excited by an arbitrary harmonic force were established under the boundary conditions, drainage conditions on the surface of.ground as well as the contact conditions.Thirdly, the problem was led to a pair of dual integral equations describing the mixed boundary- value problem which can be reduced to the Fredholm integral equations of the second kind solved by numerical procedure easily.At the end of this paper,a numerical result concerning vertical and radical displacements both the surface of saturated ground and plate is evaluated. 相似文献

The purpose of this research is to further investigate the effects of material inhomogeneity on the decay of Saint-Venant
end effects in linear isotropic elasticity. This is carried out within the context of anti-plane shear deformations of an
inhomogeneous isotropic elastic solid. The mathematical issues involve the effects of spatial inhomogeneity on the decay rates
of solutions to Dirichlet or Neumann boundary-value problems for a second-order linear elliptic partial differential equation
with variable coefficients on a semi-infinite strip. In previous work [1], the elastic coefficients were assumed to be smooth
functions of the transverse coordinate so that the material was inhomogeneous in the lateral direction only. Here we develop
a new technique, based on a change of variable, to study generally inhomogeneous isotropic materials. The governing partial
differential equation is transformed to a Helmholtz equation with a variable coefficient, which facilitates analysis of the
influence of material inhomogeneity on the diffusion of end effects. For certain classes of inhomogeneous materials, an explicit
optimal decay estimate is established. The results of this paper are applicable to continuously inhomogeneous materials and,
in particular, to functionally graded materials.

From Crofton's formula for Minkowski tensors we derive stereological estimators of translation invariant surface tensors of convex bodies in the n‐dimensional Euclidean space. The estimators are based on one‐dimensional linear sections. In a design based setting we suggest three types of estimators. These are based on isotropic uniform random lines, vertical sections, and non‐isotropic random lines, respectively. Further, we derive estimators of the specific surface tensors associated with a stationary process of convex particles in the model based setting. 相似文献
