We attempt here to use the kinematic method of yield design in the case of a porous medium subjected to flow (with or without free surface), without looking for the exact solution of the pressure field. The method proposed here is based on the use of approximate pressure fields. In this paper, we show how, under different conditions concerning the yield criterion and the velocity field, the use of such approximate fields allows one to obtain a necessary condition for stability without having to find the real pressure field. Understanding the complicated failure mechanisms of hierarchical composites such as fiber yarns is essential for advanced materials design. In this study, we developed a new Monte Carlo model for predicting the mechanical properties of fiber yarns that includes statistical variation in fiber strength. Furthermore, a statistical shear load transfer law based on the shear lag analysis was derived and implemented to simulate the interactions between adjacent fibers and provide a more accurate tensile stress distribution along the overlap distance. Simulations on two types of yarns, made from different raw materials and based on distinct processing approaches, predict yarn strength values that compare favorably with experimental measurements. Furthermore, the model identified very distinct dominant failure mechanisms for the two materials, providing important insights into design features that can improve yarn strength. 相似文献

Effect of metal compounds on the thermal degradation behaviors of poly(3-hydroxybutyric acid) (P(3HB)), poly(4-hydroxybutyric acid) (P(4HB)), and poly(?-caprolactone) (PCL) was investigated by means of thermogravimetric and pyrolysis-gas chromatograph mass spectrometric analyses. Na and Ca compounds accelerated a random chain scission of P(3HB) molecules resulting in a decrease of thermal degradation temperature, whereas the contribution of Zn, Sn, Al compounds to the thermal degradation of P(3HB) was very small. In contrast to P(3HB), Zn, Sn and Al compounds induced the thermal degradation of PCL at lower temperature range by catalyzing the selective unzipping depolymerization from ω-hydroxyl chain end. Transesterification reaction of PCL molecules could be facilitated by the presence of Ca compound, while the gravimetric change was detected at almost identical temperature region regardless of the content of Ca compound. According to the lactonizing characteristic of monomer unit, the thermal degradation of P(4HB) progressed by the cyclic rupture via unzipping reaction from the ω-hydroxyl chain end or/and random intramolecular transesterification at the main chain with a release of γ-butyrolactone as volatile product. Each of metal compounds used in this study was effective to catalyze the cyclic rupture of P(4HB) molecules, and the degradation rate was accelerated by the presence of metal compounds. 相似文献

Copper(I) chloride was found to be a highly efficient reagent to promote the cleavage of acetylenic substituents from the camphor skeleton of compounds 1 containing two C-C triple bonds as well as from the compounds 6 and 7 containing one. This is a formal reversal of the formation of these compounds by the reaction of acetylides with keto and imino groups in compound 18. The substituent R at the triple bond modifies the reactivity and regioselectivity. As intermediates in the process we identified complexes of the types [Cu(L)depr] (where (L)depr denotes a deprotonated camphor-derived ligand (L)) and [CuCl(L)]. 以超临界锅炉管用耐热奥氏体不锈钢TP347H为研究对象,加入0%~0.3%(质量分数)的Ce,用25 kg真空感应炉在氩气保护下熔炼,研究了Ce对TP347H钢高温持久性能等的影响。结果表明:当TP347H中加入Ce量为0.005%时,在750℃,120 MPa时持久寿命达到最大297 h,比未加Ce时提高48%,随着Ce添加量的进一步增加持久寿命逐渐下降,Ce添加量≥0.15%时开始趋于稳定;Ce的添加将导致TP347H钢在高温固溶处理时δ铁素体的形成,Ce的合适添加量约为0.005%~0.03%。 相似文献

Measurements of the normalised flanking sound level difference of different gypsum board flanking walls are reported. Results of a “standard” wall construction confirmed some results of the current draft standard of DIN 4109. Different constructions with various junction details and different wall constructions are described and measurement results are presented. By additional measurements on the walls, a prediction model for the weighted flanking level difference is suggested, based on the methodology of EN 12354. For the flanking transmission prediction of path Ff, three transmission paths are proposed. The model gives good agreement between calculated and measured weighted flanking level difference except for the case where the transmission along the inner lining of the flanking wall is dominant. In this case the prediction underestimates measurements by up to 7 dB. 相似文献

To avoid the dependency on origin of time, an improved damage law for creep rupture of clays is proposed considering the accumulated inelastic deviatoric strain as a measure of damage, instead of incorporating time directly. This law is incorporated into an existing anisotropic elastoplastic-viscoplastic bounding surface model for clays. The performance of the damage law was demonstrated via the simulations of creep rupture tests on undisturbed clays, and generally a good agreement between model simulations and test data was obtained. Discussions on the creep rupture parameters were followed and further improvement was suggested. At present when high quality test data for creep rupture is very limited, the proposed damage law could serve as a practical way to model creep rupture of clays. 相似文献

We describe a model based on continuum mechanics that reduces the study of a significant class of problems of discrete dislocation dynamics to questions of the modern theory of continuum plasticity.
