The Maxwell equations with uniformly monotone nonlinear electric conductivity in a heterogeneous medium, which may be non-periodic, are homogenized by two-scale convergence. We introduce a new set of function spaces appropriate for the nonlinear Maxwell system. New compactness results, of two-scale type, are proved for these function spaces. We prove existence of a unique solution for the heterogeneous system as well as for the homogenized system. We also prove that the solutions of the heterogeneous system converge weakly to the solution of the homogenized system. Furthermore, we prove corrector results, important for numerical implementations.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with linear parabolic partial differential equations in divergence form and their discrete analogues. It is assumed that the coefficients of the equation are stationary random variables, random in both space and time. The Green's functions for the equations are then random variables. Regularity properties for expectation values of Green's functions are obtained. In particular, it is shown that the expectation value is a continuously differentiable function in the space variable whose derivatives are bounded by the corresponding derivatives of the Green's function for the heat equation. Similar results are obtained for the related finite difference equations. This paper generalises results of a previous paper which considered the case when the coefficients are constant in time but random in space.

在某些纤维增强复合材料(FRC)中使用金属或高分子聚合物作为基体材料。在高温等情况下,这类材料具有明显的粘弹性特性。本文采用Riemann—Liouville形式的分数阶导数模型描述基体的粘弹性特性。通过渐近均匀化方法给出了预测FRC整体三维本构关系的解析表达式。给出了应用于基体具有Makris粘弹性关系的具体形式。以圆截面纤维正方形排列的情形为例,给出了等效模量随纤维体积比的变化曲线。结果说明,这类复合材料仍具有粘弹性特性,其整体粘弹性本构关系的弹性部分综合了纤维弹性和基体弹性的贡献,粘性部分来自基体粘性的贡献,复合材料具有和基体相同的粘性系数和分数阶。为分析微结构特征对整体特性的贡献,须求解两类局部问题。可以看出,在整体的等效模量中包含了局部变形的贡献,局部变形增加了复合材料的耦合刚度。  相似文献

Totally fissured media in which the individual cells are isolated by the fissure system are effectively described by double porosity models with microstructure. Such models contain the geometry of the individual cells in the medium and the flux across their interface with the fissure system which surrounds them. We extend these results to a dual-permeability model which accounts for the secondary flux arising from direct cell-to-cell diffusion within the solid matrix. Homogenization techniques are used to construct a new macroscopic model for the flow of a single phase compressible fluid through a partially fissured medium from an exact but highly singular microscopic model, and it is shown that this macroscopic model is mathematically well posed. Preliminary numerical experiments illustrate differences in the behaviour of solutions to the partially fissured from that of the totally fissured case.  相似文献

运用塑性力学中的机动极限分析理论,研究韧性基体多孔材料的塑性极限承载能力和破坏模式。以多孔材料的细观结构为研究对象,将细观力学中的均匀化理论引入到塑性极限分析中,并结合有限元技术,建立细观结构极限载荷的一般计算格式,并提出相应的求解算法。数值算例表明:细观孔洞对材料的宏观强度影响明显;在单向拉伸作用下,孔洞呈现膨胀扩大规律;多孔材料破坏源于基体塑性区的贯通。  相似文献

The stress equivalence principle for saturated porous media is studied in the plastic domain using a homogenization approach. The skeleton is composed of a micro-isotropic and micro-homogeneous material. The stress localization law in saturated porous media is first obtained. This makes it possible to define an appropriate effective stress tensor in the sense of the stress equivalence principle. A three-scale theory of swelling clay soils is developed which incorporates physico-chemical effects and delayed adsorbed water flow during secondary consolidation. Following earlier work, at the microscale the clay platelets and adsorbed water (water between the platelets) are considered as distinct nonoverlaying continua. At the intermediate (meso) scale the clay platelets and the adsorbed water are homogenized in the spirit of hybrid mixture theory, so that, at the mesoscale they may be thought of as two overlaying continua, each having a well defined mass density. Within this framework the swelling pressure is defined thermodynamically and it is shown to govern the effect of physico-chemical forces in a modified Terzaghi's effective stress principle. A homogenization procedure is used to upscale the mesoscale mixture of clay particles and bulk water (water next to the swelling mesoscale particles) to the macroscale. The resultant model is of dual porosity type where the clay particles act as sources/sinks of water to the macroscale bulk phase flow. The dual porosity model can be reduced to a single porosity model with long term memory by using Green's functions. The resultant theory provides a rational basis for some viscoelastic models of secondary consolidation.  相似文献

A porous medium, which matrix is a perfectly plastic solid, is considered. This paper proposes a method to determine the macroscopic admissible stress states. The method is based on a homogenization technique which takes advantage of the equivalence, under certain conditions, between a problem of limit analysis and a ficticious nonlinear elastic problem. The particular case of a Drucker–Prager solid matrix is considered. The method provides an analytical expression for the complete macroscopic strength criterion. To cite this article: J.-F. 根据多尺度均匀化理论建立了管板有效弹性常数研究的有限元计算模型,在弹性平面状态下,计算结果与ASME规范中采用的有效弹性常数进行了比较,其相对误差在0.2%,然后对管板中胀接管子的加强作用进行了研究,得到了管板有效弹性常数与胀接管子在孔间带效率为0.4时的变化曲线。计算结果表明,用均匀化方法计算管板的有效弹性常数是可行的。  相似文献

The macroscopic model governing coupled electro-chemo-mechanical phenomena in expansive clays is revisited within a rigorous homogenization procedure applied to the microscopic governing equations which describe the local interaction between charged clay particles and a binary monovalent aqueous electrolyte solution. The up-scaling of the microscopic electro-hydro-dynamics leads to a two-scale approach wherein the macroscopic model appears governed by a fully coupled form of Onsager’s reciprocity relations, mass conservation equations and a modified Terzaghi’s effective stress principle. In addition, the two-scale approach provides microscopic representations for the effective coefficients which are exploited herein to obtain further insight in the constitutive behavior of the electrochemical parameters and the swelling pressure. Among other effects, we show that these microscopic closure relations are mainly dictated by the spatial variability of a microscale electric potential which satisfies a local version of the Poisson–Boltzmann problem in a periodic unit cell, The proposed framework allows to address various relevant still open issues regarding the constitutive behavior of swelling systems, Among them we give particular emphasis on the analysis of the influence of the fluctuation and distortion of the electrical double layer upon the magnitude of the electrochemical coefficients and the precise local conditions for the validity of the symmetry of Onsager’s relations.  相似文献
