Charge transport in a polypeptide chain

Charge transport is one important example of signal transduction in a protein which is responsible for action at a distance, and is a fundamental process in biochemical action. A model is presented in which electronic effects interact with motional processes to combine into a bifunctional model. This model is investigated with new detailed molecular dynamics calculations and successfully explains such action at a distance. LONG-TIME BEHAVIOR OF A CLASS OF REACTION DIFFUSION EQUATIONS WITH TIME DELAYS

The present paper devotes to the long-time behavior of a class of reaction diffusion equations with delays under Dirichlet boundary conditions. The stability and global attractability for the zero solution are provided, and the existence, stability and attractability for the positive stationary solution are also obtained.     

Convergent Flows of Molten Polymers Modeled by Generalized Second-Grade Fluids of Power-Law Type

The molding processes of polymer melts involve geometrically complex dies. Such dies are usually tapered or streamlined to achieve a maximum output rate under conditions of laminar flow. The model of a generalized second-grade fluid of power-law type is used and the results obtained are illustrated by examples of convergent flows in conical and wedge-shaped dies.

Schrödinger Uncertainty Relations and Physical Features of Correlated-Coherent States

We show that the difference between the Schrödinger uncertainty relations (UR) and the Heisenberg UR is fundamental. We propose a modified version of stochastic mechanics that allows clearly demonstrating that the contributions from the anticommutator and the commutator to the Schrödinger UR are equally important. A classification of quantum states minimizing the Schrödinger UR at an arbitrary instant is proposed. We show that the correlation of the coordinate and momentum fluctuations in such correlated-coherent states (CCS) is largely determined by the contributions from not only the commutator but also the anticommutator of the corresponding operators. We demonstrate that the character of this correlation changes qualitatively in time from the antiphase correlation typical for the Heisenberg UR to the inphase correlation for which the contribution from the anticommutator is decisive. We comparatively analyze properties of a free microparticle and a quantum oscillator in CCS and show that the CCS correspond to traveling-standing de Broglie waves in both models.     

Large set of P3‐decompositions

Let G=(V(G),E(G)) be a graph. A (n,G, λ)‐GD is a partition of the edges of λK_n into subgraphs (G‐blocks), each of which is isomorphic to G. The (n,G,λ)‐GD is named as graph design for G or G‐decomposition. The large set of (n,G,λ)‐GD is denoted by (n,G,λ)‐LGD. 天文斑点成像技术中的噪声影响分析

为进一步说明天文像复原新方法-迭代位移叠加法的性质，对探测器的附加噪声在斑点干涉术、斑点掩模法和迭代位移叠加法中的影响分别进行了分析。结果表明：在斑点掩模法中，复杂的噪声高阶矩统计被引入了重谱的噪声偏差，因此对噪声极为敏感，使数据处理更加复杂化；与斑点掩模法相比，迭代位移叠加法仅涉及对噪声的一阶矩统计平均，所以此新方法的特点是对噪声不敏感，具有图像复原处理过程简单快捷的优越性。     

Metastability in the Potts model on the Cayley tree

Metastability in the ferromagneticp-state Potts model defined on the Cayley tree is discussed. It is shown that the sign of the boundary fieldH _s determines the order of the transition as well as the stability of the low-temperature phase. Lowering the temperature withH _s >0, a system withp<2 (p>2) will display a second (first)-order transition to a metastable (stable) phase. ForH _s >0 a second (first)-order transition to a metastable (stable) phase occurs ifp>2 (p<2). In this case the system also has a residual entropy which is negative forp<2.
