Fermi and Coulomb correlations in the 21 S state of the helium isoelectronic sequence

The Fermi and Coulomb holes of the 2¹ S state of the helium isoelectronic sequence are investigated. Several interesting differences between the results obtained and those which might be expected on the basis of the corresponding 2³ S state are pointed out and discussed.     

Some Conversions of Thiazoline Carboxylic Acid Esters

We have carried out solvolysis of the previously described ethyl esters of 3-methyl(aryl)-4-methyl-2-thioxothiazoline-5-carboxylic acids, leading to the corresponding acids without breaking down the heterocycle. We synthesized a series of novel esters from the latter by treatment with dimethyl sulfate or reactive halides. Of these, only in the case of the ethyl ester of 3,4-dimethyl-2-thioxothiazoline-5-carboxylic acid did we obtain the hydrazinolysis product (the hydrazide), from which we synthesized novel hydrazones by treatment with aldehydes and ketones.     

Reexamination of the thermolytic rearrangement of 4-halophenyl azides to 2-aminophenols and other products

Summary The halogenation of derivatives of 2-aminophenol with N-chloro- and N-bromosuccinimides at ambient temperatures in acetic acid was studied. With the necessary compounds available, a reexamination of the thermolytic rearrangement of 2-halophenyl azides to 2-aminophenols and other products was undertaken. It is certain that the rearrangement of 4-halophenyl azides to 2-aminophenols occurs but the products identified in this study differ significantly from those reported previously by Suschitzky et al. (1963, 1966).

Neuuntersuchung der thermolytischen Umlagerung von 4-Halogenphenylaziden zu 2-Aminophenolen und anderen Produkten

Zusammenfassung Es wurde die Halogenierung von 2-Aminophenol-Derivaten mit N-Chlor- und N-Bromsuccinimid bei Raumtemperatur in Essigsäure untersucht. Mit den zur Verfügung stehenden Verbindungen konnte eine Neuuntersuchung der thermolytischen Umlagerung von 4-Halogenphenylaziden zu 2-Aminophenolen und anderen Produkten unternommen werden. Diese Umlagerung findet sicherlich statt, allerdings differieren die dabei beobachteten Produkte signifikant von denen, die Suschitzky et al. 1963 und 1966 beschrieben.

     

Synthesis and structure of novel derivatives of thieno[2,3-b]thiocine. An unusual product of intramolecular cycloaddition of 2-homomethallylthio-5-methyl-3-thiophenecarbonitrile oxide

9-Methyl-3,3a,4,5-tetrahydro-6H-thieno[2,3-b]thiocino[4,5-c]isoxazole and 9-hydroxyimino-2-methyl-7-methylene-6, 7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-thieno[2,3-b]thiocine have been prepared for the first time by the oxidation of 2--alkenylthio-3-thiophenecarbaldoximes with NaOCl. X-ray structural investigations of thieno[2,3-b]thiocine and 2-homomethallylthio-5-methyl-3-thiophenecarbaldoxime have been carried out.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Supercritical fluid chromatography of industrial paraffins and waxes

Summary The application of capillary SFC for SIMDIST investigations of paraffins and waxes is reported. Pressure, density and temperature of the mobile phase are optimized to obtain high chromatographic resolution of complex mixtures of industrial products. Isothermal linear pressure programming and asymptotic pressure and density programming are used in the range from 15 to 35 MPa in the isothermic mode above 100°C. SFC chromatograms of natural and synthetic paraffins, microcrystalline wax and candle wax are compared. The retention behaviour of paraffin mixtures and waxes has been investigated on methyl/phenyl and biphenyl capillary columns. The polarity of the stationary phases influences the absolute retention time more than it influences the chromatographic resolution.     

钴-5,10,15,20-四(3-甲氧基-4-羟基苯基)卟啉修饰玻碳电极的L-抗坏血酸化学传感器研究

将水合 5,10,15,20-四-(3-甲氧基-4-羟基苯基)钴卟啉(CoTMHPP)修饰在玻碳电极表面,制成CoTMHPP修饰电极.电极稳定性好且灵敏度高,对抗坏血酸有良好的电催化氧化作用,测定线性响应范围为1.0×10(-5)～1.0×10(-2)mol/L,响应时间小于12s.本文研究了电极的性质和应用,并用于药物中抗坏血酸的测定,其测定结果与碘量法一致.     

Photochemical properties and structures ofN-amino andN-azomethine derivatives of 2,4,6-triphenylpyridinium perchlorates

The molecular structures of the initial compounds and the products of photocyclization involving amino and azomethine groups in perchlorates ofN-amino (1) andN-azomethine (2) derivatives of 2,4,6-triphenylpyridinium cations were studied. Cations1 and2 have an essentially non-coplanar arrangement of the -Ph rings, and the product of photocyclization of2, cation3, is characterized by a flattened structure. It was found that the orientation of the lone electron pair of the N atom with respect to one of the planes of the -Ph rings in molecule1 is more favorable for monocyclization involving the amino group. The structure of molecule2 allows two routes of the photoreaction,viz., O N proton transfer and monocyclization with an -Ph ring. A study of the oxidation of vegetable oils by inverse gas chromatography

Summary Inverse gas chromatography is shown to be suitable for the study of the oxidation of vegetable oils. With air as carrier gas characteristic plots of retention index versus time are obtained for hydroxylic test solutes that are consistent with the oxidation behaviour of vegetable oils. Shifts of retention are found to be accompanied by changes of column efficiency due to the oxidative crosslinking of polyunsaturated vegetable oils. The technique also leads to useful information concerning the oxidation of antioxidant inhibited systems. Presented at the 15th International Symposium on Chromatography, Nürnberg, October 1984     

Diagnostic and therapy-control of inborn metabolic disorders by high-performance liquid chromatography: 2,8-dihydroxyadeninuria,xanthinuria

Summary 2,8-Dihydroxyadeninuria and xanthinuria are inborn enzyme disorders which must be under lifelong therapeutic control. Quantitative determination of 2,8-DHA and xanthine using reversed phase HPLC was performed. A new application for the separation of purines shortens analysis-time. Examples of the determination of 2,8-DHA and xanthine before and under certain therapies are shown. Long term monitoring of the patients offers the possibility of a reliable prophylaxis against stone recurrence.     

Reductive coupling of polyfunctionalized organobismuth and organolead arylating reagents in the synthesis of benzopyran derivatives

Benzopyran derivatives were synthesized in good yields by the reactions of tris[2-(chloromethyl)phenyl]bismuth diacetate and 2-(halomethyl)aryllead triacetates with phenols and naturally occurring 4-hydroxycoumarins in the presence of bases according to a three-step one-pot procedure.
