A gunshot residue sample that was collected from an object or a suspected person is automatically searched for gunshot residue relevant particles. Particle data (such as size, morphology, position on the sample for manual relocation, etc.) as well as the corresponding X-ray spectra and images are stored. According to these data, particles are classified by the analysis-software into different groups: ‘gunshot residue characteristic’, ‘consistent with gunshot residue’ and environmental particles, respectively. Potential gunshot residue particles are manually checked and – if necessary – confirmed by the operating forensic scientist.  相似文献

3-O-Acetyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene--D-allofuranose (2 b) was prepared from 1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene--D-allofuranose (1 b). Treatment of2 b with triphenylphosphine-diethyl azodicarboxylate afforded regio- and stereospecifically the 5,6-epoxy--D-allo derivative (3). The other diastereomeric compound, 5,6-epoxy-1,2-O-isopropylidene--L-talofuranose (6) was also prepared stereoselectively from2 b via the intermediates5 a and5 b. The epoxy sugars3 and6 were converted with lithium aluminum hydride to the corresponding 6-deoxy-1,2-O-isopropylidene--D-allofuranose (4 a) and --L-talofuranose (7 a) derivatives. Hydrolysis of4 a and7 a afforded 6-deoxy-D-allose and 6-deoxy-L-talose, respectively. The corresponding 3,5-di-O-acetyl- (4 b and7 b) and the 3,5-O-(tetraisopropyldisiloxane-1,3-diyl) derivatives (4 c and7 c) are also described. Selective removal of the isopropylidene group and subsequent acetylation offers a convenient route to prepare sugar derivatives containing furanose ring, like8 b, as a suitable precursor for nucleoside analogs.Herrn Prof. Dr.K. Summary The coupling of carbon dioxide supercritical fluid chromatography with Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (SFC-FTIR) is a powerful tool for the separation and on-line identification of non-volatile compounds. The IR transparency of carbon dioxide in the Fermi resonance bands region versus its density has been studied. Functional groups with stretching vibrations outside the transparent window of carbon dioxide are examined. SFC-FTIR separations allow Gram-Schmidt reconstruction chromatograms or IR window chemigrams with high quality spectra to be obtained. This SFC-FTIR lightpipe (flow cell, beam condensing optics, narrow band detector) has allowed detection limits of 250ng for benzonitrile and 70ng for methyl benzoate to be reached. The feasibility of very rapid SFC-FTIR separations is shown along with the subsequent peak spectra.  相似文献

Summary The convolution of Gaussian absorption curves using orthogonal polynomials has been studied. An absorption curve can usually be considered as a sum of Gaussian curves. The p2-convoluted log A versus curve is independent of concentration and path-length and the optimum coefficient can be used as an index of purity for absorbing compounds.

Cadmium colloids have been prepared by Chemical Liquid Deposition (CLD). The metal is evaporated to yield atoms which are solvated at liquid nitrogen temperature, and upon warming, stable liquid colloids are formed with particle size ranging between 25–100 Å. Zeta potentials were calculated according to the conversion of Hunter and the Hückel equation, for ethanol and dimethyl sulphoxide. UV/VIS measurement of most of the black colloids showed absorption band around 280 nm. For comparison, we prepared CdS colloid with size 400–625 Å. The colloids are stable to oxidation in air and/or oxygen bubbling. The synthesis of colloids and films from Cd with acetone, 2-butanone, ethanol, 2-propanol, 2-methoxyethanol, DMF and DMSO is reported. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) allows us to determine particle size.  相似文献

Summary Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by the production of specific types of immunoglobulins into the central nervous system. These immunoglobulins appear as oligoclonal bands (OCBs) in agarose isoelectric focusing (IEF) of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Among the cases with clinically definite MS, up to 95% have oligoclonal IgG bands in their CSF. In this report, we describe a micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) method for the separation of CSF and serum proteins. MEKC was performed using 25 mM borate buffer, pH 10, containing 25 mM SDS at 20 kV and normal polarity. High values of repeatability in migration times and of reproducibility in peak areas were obtained (R.S.D. values were less than 2%). Calibration graphs were linear up to 2000 mg L–1. LOQ was 6.5 mg L–1 and LOD determined as a signal to noise ration of 3:1 was 4.5 mg L–1. Analysis of CSF and serum samples from patients with clinical definite MS and healthy individuals demonstrated the presence of two peaks migrating as -globulins in the CSF samples of patients. These peaks were absent from controls and the serum of the same patients. Correlation of the data obtained from IEF and MEKC analysis for 25 patients showed that the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of MEKC were ca 89% and 92% respectively. The obtained results indicate that this MEKC method may be helpful for the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Photoinduced electron transfer processes between fullerenes (C60 / C70) and N, N, N′, N′- tetra - ( p-methylphenyl ) - 4, 4′- diamino - 1, 1′- diphenyl ether ( TPDAE ) have been studied by nanosecond laser flash photolysis. Quantum yields and rate constants of electron transfer from TPDAE to excited triplet state of fullerenes (C60 / C70 ) in benzonitrile have been evaluated by observing the transient absorption bands in the near-IR region where the excited triplet state, radical anion of fullerenes ( C60 / C70 ) and radical cations of TPDAE appear.  相似文献
