In this work, an electroless deposition method for silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on glass substrates was developed for use in surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) measurements. To obtain evenly distributed AgNPs of suitable size on the glass substrates, a seeding procedure was utilized as a pretreatment before the electroless deposition of AgNPs. The AgNPs thus formed were affected by both the seeding and growing procedures. To optimize the procedures for preparation of SERS substrates, several factors, including reaction time, the concentration of silver ions, and the concentration of reducing agents (glucose) for seeding and growing procedures, were varied. The morphologies of the seeds and the resulting AgNPs on the glass substrates were characterized by field‐emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM) and correlated with the SERS signals from probing with para‐nitrothiophenol (pNTP). The results indicated that only the seeding time and the concentration of silver ions significantly influenced the distribution and sizes of the Ag seeds on the substrates. In the growing procedures, both the concentration of silver nitrate and the reducing agent affected the morphologies of the resulting AgNPs and, hence, the SERS signals. The substrates prepared using this newly developed method offer 2–5 times improvement of the SERS signals compared to substrates prepared without seed treatment. Also, the AgNPs prepared by this method can be easily controlled to designated sizes with even spatial and size distributions. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This study presents a new design that uses a combination of a graded hole transport layer (GH) structure and a gradually doped emissive layer (GE) structure as a double graded (DG) structure to improve the electrical and optical performance of white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs). The proposed structure is ITO/m-MTDATA (15 nm)/NPB (15 nm)/NPB: 25% BAlq (15 nm)/NPB: 50% BAlq (15 nm)/BAlq: 0.5% Rubrene (10 nm)/BAlq: 1% Rubrene (10 nm)/BAlq: 1.5% Rubrene (10 nm)/Alq3 (20 nm)/LiF (0.5 nm)/Al (200 nm). (m-MTDATA: 4,4′,4″ -tris(3-methylphenylphenylamino)triphenylamine; NPB: N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(1-naphthyl-phenyl)-(1,1′-biphenyl)-4,4′-diamine; BAlq: aluminum (III) bis(2-methyl-8-quinolinato) 4-phenylphenolate; Rubrene: 5,6,11,12-tetraphenylnaphthacene; Alq3: tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum). By using this structure, the best performance of the WOLED is obtained at a luminous efficiency at 11.8 cd/A and the turn-on voltage of 100 cd/m2 at 4.6 V. The DG structure can eliminate the discrete interface, and degrade surplus holes, the electron-hole pairs are efficiently injected and balanced recombination in the emissive layer, thus the spectra are unchanged under various drive currents and quenching effects can be significantly suppressed. Those advantages can enhance efficiency and are immune to drive current density variations.  相似文献

Here we report a physicochemical investigation of low-density carbon materials modified with pyrolytic carbon (PC). Exfoliated graphite (EG) obtained by nitrate expandable graphite thermal destruction was pressed into low-density graphite materials (LDGMs) with densities of 0.045-0.50 g/cm3 and saturated with PC by impact CVI technique. LDGM infiltration with PC leads to sample weight and density growth. The amount of deposited PC strictly depends on synthesis conditions. The maximum surface and volume deposition of PC occurred for samples with density of 0.05 g/cm3. XRD, Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy revealed that the deposited PC is of smooth laminar (SL) type. Composite thermal conductivity is about 2-3.5 Wt/m K.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to study the electrochemical behavior, under a corrosion-erosion condition, of [TiN/AlTiN]n multilayer coatings with bilayers periods of 1, 6, 12 and 24, deposited by a magnetron sputtering technique on Si (1 0 0) and AISI 1045 steel substrates.The TiN and AlTiN structure for multilayer coatings were evaluated via X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. Silica particles were used as an abrasive in the corrosion-erosion test within a 0.5 M H2SO4 solution at an impact angle of 30° over the surface. The electrochemical characterization was carried out using a polarization resistance technique (Tafel), in order to observe changes in the corrosion rate as a function of the bilayers number (n) or bilayer period (Λ). Corrosion rate values of 359 mpy in uncoated steel substrate and 1.016×10−6 mpy for substrate coated with [TiN/AlTiN]24 under impact angle of 30° were found. This behavior was related with the mass loss curve for all coatings and the surface damage was analyzed using SEM images. These results indicate that TiN/AlTiN multilayer coatings deposited on AISI 1045 steel provide a practical solution for applications in erosive-corrosive environments.  相似文献

In the photorefractive wave-mixing system, fluctuation in the signal beam intensity of the photorefractive output with a reflection grating has been analyzed by employing pump feedback method. In this method, fluctuations of the photorefractive wave-mixing process not only induce the intensity fluctuation of the mixing waves but also induce phase fluctuation of the mixing waves. Thus, the phase of the pump and signal beams at the output surface fluctuates in time around a mean value. Using such a positive feedback method of a pump beams, the relative fluctuation in the photorefractive output signal beam intensity with respect to its mean intensity can be minimized significantly without reducing its mean intensity. The factors that control the fluctuation in the signal beam intensity, such as the phase fluctuation of the output pump beam, absorption strength of the material and the feedback reflectivity of the cavity mirrors, on the relative fluctuation of the output signal intensity in the photorefractive wave-mixing systems have been studied in detail. It has been found that the fluctuation of the output signal intensity relative to its mean intensity in the photorefractive wave-mixing system can be suppressed to larger extent by taking lower value of feedback reflectivity of the cavity mirrors which could exist at a higher value of absorption strength of the photorefractive materials.  相似文献

Charge-exchange reactions of (n,p) and (p,n) types at intermediate energies are introduced as a tool for the study of nuclear matrix element in ββ decay. Here, the (n,p) type reactions are realized through , where 2He refers to two protons in a singlet 1S0 state and where both of these are momentum analyzed and detected by the same spectrometer and detector. These reactions have been developed and performed exclusively at KVI, Groningen (NL), using an incident deuteron energy of 183 MeV. The  reaction is of (p,n) type and was developed at the RCNP facility in Osaka (JP) at incident energies of 420 MeV. Using both reaction types one can extract the Gamow-Teller transition strengths B(GT+) and , which define the two “legs” of the ββ decay matrix elements for the 2νββ decay. The high resolution available in both reactions allows a detailed insight into the excitations of the intermediate odd-odd nuclei and, as will be shown, some unexpected features are being unveiled.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate surface characteristics in four different titanium surfaces (AN: anodized at 270 V; AN-CaP: anodic oxidation and CaP deposited; SLA: sandblasted and acid etched; MA: machined) and to evaluate biological behaviors such as cell adhesion, cell proliferation, cytoskeletal organization, and osteogenic protein expression of MG63 osteoblast-like cells at the early stage. Surface analysis was performed using scanning electron microscopy, thin-film X-ray diffractometry, and a confocal laser scanning microscope. In order to evaluate cellular responses, MG63 osteoblast-like cells were used. The cell viability was evaluated by MTT assay. Immunofluorescent analyses of actin, type I collagen, osteonectin and osteocalcin were performed. The anodized and CaP deposited specimen showed homogeneously distributed CaP particles around micropores and exhibited anatase type oxides, titanium, and HA crystalline structures. This experiment suggests that CaP particles on the anodic oxidation surface affect cellular attachment and spreading. When designing an in vitro biological study for CaP coated titanium, it must be taken into account that preincubation in medium prior to cell seeding and the cell culture medium may affect the CaP coatings. All these observations illustrate the importance of the experimental conditions and the physicochemical parameters of the CaP coating.It is considered that further evaluations such as long-term in vitro cellular assays and in vivo experiments should be necessary to figure out the effect of CaP deposition to biological responses.  相似文献

The a-CNx films were deposited onto high-speed steel substrate by pulsed laser deposition at different nitrogen pressures. The tribological properties of the films in humid air and in vacuum were investigated using a ball-on-disk tribometer under various loads. The composition, microstructure and morphology of the films, wear tracks and paired balls were characterized by energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA), X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). With increasing the deposition pressure, the fraction of sp3 C bond reduces, the fraction of trapped nitrogen increases and the friction coefficient of the films declines both in humid air and vacuum. The friction coefficient of a-CNx film decreases with increasing normal load. The tribological performances of the films in humid air are better than those of in vacuum. A transferred graphite-like tribo-layer is observed from a-CNx film to the paired ball for both environments.  相似文献

We have grown silicon dioxide (SiO2) on indium phosphorous (InP) substrate by liquid phase deposition (LPD) method. With inserting InP wafer in the treatment solution composed of SiO2 saturated hydrofluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6), 0.1 M boric acid (H3BO3) and 1.74 M diluted hydrochloric acid (HCl), the maximum deposition rate and refractive index for the as-grown LPD-SiO2 film were about 187.5 Å/h and 1.495 under the constant growth temperature of 40 °C. The secondary ion mass spectroscope (SIMS) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) confirmed that the elements of silicon, oxygen, and chloride were found in the as-grown LPD-SiO2 film. On the other hand, the effects of treatment solution incorporated with the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) that can regulate the concentration of OH ion were also shown in this article. The experimental results represented that the deposition rate decreases with increasing the concentration of hydrogen peroxide due to the reduced concentration of SiO2 saturated H2SiF6 in treatment solution.  相似文献

In this work SnS thin films were electrochemically deposited on ITO coated glass substrate by galvanostatic electrodeposition at different pH of the plating bath. The working electrode used in these studies was low cost high purity graphite rod. The as-deposited films were found to be smooth, pinhole free and well adherent to the substrate with no powdery deposition. EDX measurements revealed that all the SnS films were non-stoichiometric in nature with variation from Sn-excess to S-excess compositions. XRD pattern showed that all the SnS thin films had orthorhombic polycrystalline structure. The direct bandgaps of all the films were found to be in the range 1.54-1.58 eV. ITO/SnS/In structure exhibited linear current-voltage characteristics, establishing the ohmic nature of both ITO/SnS and SnS/In junctions. Furthermore, SnS layer was grown on CdS film using electrodeposition technique. The heterostructure ITO/CdS/SnS/In was characterized under dark and illuminated conditions. From forward biased I-V characteristics several junction parameters like barrier height, diode ideality factor and series resistance of the heterostructure were extracted using Cheung model.  相似文献
