An efficient CuI catalyzed intramolecular Ullmann-type C−N coupling reaction is described here. Newly substituted 1H-benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1,3,5(2H, 11H)-trione has been easily synthesized from ortho halogenated N-substituted pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1,3,6(5H)-triones in presence of CuI catalyst and K2CO3 base without any ligand. This procedure is based on intramolecular Ullmann-type reaction and provides a proficient method of making fused tetracyclic heterocycles. 相似文献

While there is a growing interest in harnessing synergistic effects of more than one metal in catalysis, relatively little is known beyond bimetallic systems. This report describes the straightforward access to an air‐stable Pd trimer and presents unambiguous reactivity data of its privileged capability to differentiate C?I over C?Br bonds in C?C bond formations (arylation and alkylation) of polyhalogenated arenes, which typical Pd0 and PdI‐PdI catalysts fail to deliver. Concepts leading to single enantiomers of chiral molecules are of crucial importance for many applications, including pharmacology and biotechnology. Recently, mesoporous metal phases encoded with chiral information have been developed. Fine‐tuning of the enantioaffinity of such structures by imposing an electric potential is proposed, which can influence the electrostatic interactions between the chiral metal and the target enantiomer. This allows the binding affinity between the chiral metal and the target enantiomer to be increased, and thus, the discrimination between two enantiomers to be improved. The concept is illustrated by generating chiral encoded metals in a microfluidic channel by reduction of a platinum salt in the presence of a liquid crystal and l ‐tryptophan as a chiral model template. After removal of the template molecules, the modified microchannel retains a pronounced chiral character. The chiral recognition efficiency of the microchannel can be fine‐tuned by applying a suitable potential to the metal phase. This enables the separation of both components of a racemate flowing through the channel. The approach constitutes a promising and complementary strategy in the frame of chiral discrimination technologies. 相似文献

The generation of a nonheme oxoiron(IV) intermediate, [(cyclam)FeIV(O)(CH3CN)]2+ ( 2 ; cyclam=1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane), is reported in the reactions of [(cyclam)FeII]2+ with aqueous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) or a soluble iodosylbenzene (sPhIO) as a rare example of an oxoiron(IV) species that shows a preference for epoxidation over allylic oxidation in the oxidation of cyclohexene. Complex 2 is kinetically and catalytically competent to perform the epoxidation of olefins with high stereo‐ and regioselectivity. More importantly, 2 is likely to be the reactive intermediate involved in the catalytic epoxidation of olefins by [(cyclam)FeII]2+ and H2O2. In spite of the predominance of the oxoiron(IV) cores in biology, the present study is a rare example of high‐yield isolation and spectroscopic characterization of a catalytically relevant oxoiron(IV) intermediate in chemical oxidation reactions. 相似文献

Porous solids that can be switched between different forms with distinct physical properties are appealing candidates for separation, catalysis, and host–guest chemistry. In this regard, porous organic cages (POCs) are of profound interest because of their solution‐state accessibility. However, the application of POCs is limited by poor chemical stability. Synthesis of an exceptionally stable imine‐linked (4+6) porous organic cage ( TpOMe‐CDA ) is reported using 2,4,6‐trimethoxy‐1,3,5‐triformyl benzene (TpOMe) as a precursor aldehyde. Introduction of the ‐OMe functional group to the aldehyde creates significant steric and hydrophobic characteristics in the environment around the imine bonds that protects the cage molecules from hydrolysis in the presence of acids or bases. The electronic effect of the ‐OMe group also plays an important role in enhancing the stability of the reported POCs. As a consequence, TpOMe‐CDA reveals exceptional chemical stability in neutral, acidic and basic conditions, even in 12 m NaOH. Interestingly, TpOMe‐CDA exists in three different porous and non‐porous polymorphic forms (α, β, and γ) with respect to differences in crystallographic packing and the orientation of the flexible methoxy groups. All of the polymorphs retain their crystallinity even after treatment with acids and bases. All the polymorphs of TpOMe‐CDA differ significantly in their properties as well as morphology and could be reversibly switched in the presence of an external stimulus. 相似文献

The first catalyst for the alkoxycarbonylation of gem‐difluoroalkenes is described. This novel catalytic transformation proceeds in the presence of Pd(acac)2/1,2‐bis((di‐tert‐butylphosphan‐yl)methyl)benzene (btbpx) ( L4 ) and allows for an efficient and straightforward access to a range of difluoromethylated esters in high yields and regioselectivities. A palladium(II)‐catalyzed enantioselective α‐alkylation of azlactones with nonconjugated alkenes is described. The reaction employs a chiral BINOL‐derived phosphoric acid as the source of stereoinduction, and a cleavable bidentate directing group appended to the alkene to control the regioselectivity and stabilize the nucleopalladated alkylpalladium(II) intermediate in the catalytic cycle. A wide range of azlactones were found to be compatible under the optimal reaction conditions to afford products bearing α,α‐disubstituted α‐amino‐acid derivatives with high yields and high enantioselectivity. 相似文献
