The crystal structures of two ortho-hydroxy ketones (5-chloro-2-hydroxyacetophenone (I K) and 3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxyacetophenone (II K)) have been determined with X-ray diffraction at 100 K. A comparison of steric effects on properties of pseudoaromatic hydrogen bonds in ortho-hydroxy acetophenone and ortho-hydroxy ketimines have been carried out with the application of crystallographic data.

It is widely believed that evolutionary dynamics of artificial self‐replicators realized in cellular automata (CA) are limited in diversity and adaptation. Contrary to this view, we show that complex genetic evolution may occur within simple CA. The evolving self‐replicating loops (“evoloops”) we investigate exhibit significant diversity in macro‐scale morphologies and mutational biases, undergoing nontrivial genetic adaptation by maximizing colony density and enhancing sustainability against other species. Nonmutable subsequences enable genetic operations that alter fitness differentials and promote long‐term evolutionary exploration. These results demonstrate a unique example of genetic evolution hierarchically emerging from local interactions between elements much smaller than individual replicators. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The ammoximation of acetone to acetone oxime with 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide over TS-1 has been studied. The conversion of
acetone and the selectivity to acetone oxime can reach 99% and 94%, respectively. The by-products are the corresponding hydrazone,
imine and small amounts of unidentified compounds. The influence of various parameters such as solvent, temperature, amounts
of catalyst and the NH3 to acetone molar ratio were investigated.

A possibility to engage in intramolecular CH2⋯HN and Cl⋯H-N interactions and the proton migration process to the methylamino group leads to the E secondary amides carrying the N⋯H+⋯N or N-H⋯N bridges, that show unusual spectroscopic images. In proportion to the environmental pollution problems caused by organotin compounds, the genotoxicities of tin compounds in the environments have become of interest so as to estimate their safety in recent years. In this work, isolated λ-DNA (double-strand DNA) was incubated with inorganic tin(II) and tin(IV) and five organotin compounds [n-butyltin trichloride, di(n-butyltin) dichloride, methyltin trichloride, dimethyltin dichloride and trimethyltin chloride] in reaction systems both with and without hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content. The tin compounds tested in this study did not induce DNA breakage in the absence of hydrogen peroxide. Divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) and tetravalent inorganic tin (SnCl4) caused DNA breakage in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (10 mM), and the DNA damage activity of inorganic tin was much more potent in divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) than in tetravalent inorganic tin (SnCl4). Divalent inorganic tin (SnCl2) induced DNA breakage in a concentration-dependent fashion at concentrations greater than 0.1 mM of SnCl2 in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (10 mM). DNA breakage was not caused by n-butyltin compounds and methyltin compounds either in the presence or in the absence of hydrogen peroxide. 相似文献

Equations for the temperature dependence of proton and deuteron spin–lattice relaxation rates and second moments due to a complex motion consisting of classical jumps over a potential barrier and quantum mechanical tunneling through the barrier have been derived. Asymmetric double and triple potential wells are considered. These equations have been employed to analyze proton spin–lattice relaxation data for solid naphthazarin in the laboratory and rotating frames as a function of temperature. We examine asymptotically periodic density evolution in one-dimensional maps perturbed by noise, associating the macroscopic state of these dynamical systems with a phase space density. For asymptotically periodic systems density evolution becomes periodic in time, as do some macroscopic properties calculated from them. The general formalism of asymptotic periodicity is examined and used to calculate time correlations along trajectories of these maps as well as their limiting conditional entropy. The time correlation is shown to naturally decouple into periodic and stochastic components. Finally, asymptotic periodicity is studied in a noise-perturbed piecewise linear map, focusing on how the variation of noise amplitude can cause a transition from asymptotic periodicity to asymptotic stability in the density evolution of this system. 相似文献

Understanding the kinetics of grain growth, under the influence of second phase (such as impurities, voids and bubbles) is fundamental to advances in the control of microstructural evolution. As a precursor to this objective, we have investigated the grain growth kinetics in a polycrystalline material using a standard Q-state Potts’ model under Monte Carlo settings. Based on physical reasoning, new modifications are suggested to circumvent some of the disadvantages in the basic Potts model. The efficacy of these modifications vis-à-vis the basic model is verified. We derive hydrodynamic equations describing the evolution of a binary fluid segregated into two regions, each rich in one species,which are separated (on the macroscopic scale) by a sharp interface. Our starting point is a Vlasov-Boltzmann (VB) equation describing the evolution of the one particle position and velocity distributions, fi (x, v, t), i = 1, 2. The solution of the VB equation is developed in a Hilbert expansion appropriate for this system. This yields incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for the velocity field u and a jump boundary condition for the pressure across the interface.
