Response to high acidity and basicity at a platinum electrode in chronopotentiometry

A simple and rapid method is developed to determine the high acidity and the basicity of solutions by chronopotentiometry with a platinum working electrode. The acidity range from 5.0 mol/l H⁺ to 1.0 mol/l OH⁻ can be measured by the adjustment of deposition potential and time. The response mechanism to acidity and basicity has been explored. The transition potential plateau in chronopotentiograms is caused from the oxidation of hydrogen adsorbed on electrode surface.     

Template atom transfer radical polymerization of a diaminopyrimidine‐derivatized monomer in the presence of a uracil‐containing polymer

Uracil‐derivatized monomer 6‐undecyl‐1‐(4‐vinylbenzyl)uracil and diaminopyrimidine‐derivatized monomer 2,6‐dioctanoylamido‐4‐methacryloyloxypyrimidine (DMP) were synthesized and polymerized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). A well‐defined, highly soluble, uracil‐containing polymer, poly[6‐undecyl‐1‐(4‐vinylbenzyl)uracil] (PUVU), was prepared in dioxane at 90 °C with CuBr/1,1,4,7,10,10‐hexamethyltriethylenetetramine as the catalyst and methyl α‐bromophenylacetate as the initiator. PUVU was further used as a template for the ATRP of DMP. The enhanced apparent rate constant of the DMP polymerization in the presence of PUVU indicated that the ATRP of DMP occurred along the PUVU template. The template polymerization produced a stable and insoluble macromolecular complex, PUVU/poly(2,6‐dioctanoylamido‐4‐methacryloyloxypyrimidine). Development and application of high strength ternary boride base cermets

Reaction boronizing sintering is a novel strategy to form a ternary boride coexisting with a metal matrix in a cermet during liquid phase sintering. This new sintering technique has successfully developed world first ternary boride base cermets with excellent mechanical properties such as Mo₂FeB₂, Mo₂NiB₂ and WCoB base ones.In these cermets Mo₂FeB₂ and Mo₂NiB₂ base ones consist of a tetragonal M₃B₂ (M: metal)-type complex boride as a hard phase and a transition metal base matrix. The cermets have already been applied to wear resistant applications such as injection molding machine parts, can making tools, and hot copper extruding dies, etc.This paper focuses on the characteristics, effects of the additional elements on the mechanical properties and structure, and practical applications of the ternary boride base cermets.     

二(邻香草醛缩丙醇胺)异硫氰酸根合锰(Ⅲ)的合成与晶体结构

本文报道了一个新配合物—二(邻香草醛缩丙醇胺根)异硫氰酸根合锰(Ⅲ)的合成及其晶体结构。配合物属于单斜晶系，空间群为P2₁/c，晶胞参数为：a=8.565(1), b=21.814(2), c=12.787(2)?, β=92.80(1)°。锰为六配位，在两个邻香草醛缩丙醇胺Schiff碱配体中，一个为三齿配体，另一个为双齿配体。NCS^-离子以N在轴向上与锰发生配位，由于Jahn-Teller效应，其键长为2.193?。另外晶胞中存在着罕见的H……S-C≡N氢键。

由二硫代肼基甲酸酯衍生的铜(Ⅱ)的希夫碱配合物的合成,结构和抑菌活性的研究

从S—苄基和S—甲基二硫代肼基甲酸酯衍生出的两种亚苄基丙酮希夫碱为配体,合成了铜(Ⅱ)配合物。经化学分析、磁性、红外、电子和EPR光谱的研究表明配合物有Cu(TSB)_2的形式,其中配体为双齿单价阴离子。在固态时,两种配合物分别为平面正方形和平面菱形结构。在溶液中,两者都为平面正方形。由EPR光谱分析得到的磁参数和键参数的值表明配合物中的键有较高的共价特征。对四种细菌的抑菌试验发现配体及其配合物均有抑菌活性,其中配合物的活性较高并研究了介质,pH对抑菌作用的影响。     

用酮作为酸性组分的Mannich碱的合成

本文综述了用酮作为酸性组分合成Mannich碱的最近进展。内容包括:β-脂氨基酮、β-芳氨基酮的合成和分子内Mannich反应。     

固体CD光谱研究及其应用于手性席夫碱M(II)配合物

结合课题组近期的相关研究,对固体CD光谱在手性配合物研究中的应用,特别是手性样品固体CD光谱的测试方法进行了概述,通过对四对手性席夫碱M(II)(M=Ni、Cu)配合物的固体和溶液CD光谱进行比较研究,发现配合物的手性构型在固液相中保持一致,但其固液CD光谱之间存在不同程度的差异,可能是由于相应配合物在固体和溶液相中的四面体扭曲或构象的微妙不同所致.
