CAN mediated cyclization of epoxypropyl cinnamyl ethers: a facile stereoselective synthesis of tetrahydropyran derivatives

Cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate in substoichiometric amounts, promotes the intramolecular cyclization of epoxypropyl cinnamyl ethers to the corresponding 3,4,5-trisubstituted tetrahydropyran derivatives in moderate to good yields.     

Pyrolysis chemical ionization mass spectrometry of cellulose ethers

Pyrolysis ammonia chemical ionization (PyCI) mass spectrometry was performed on hy-droxyethyl-, hydroxypropyl-,methyl-, hydroxypropylmethyl-, and ethylhydroxyethyl cel-luloses. The mass peaks in the PyCI mass spectra of these cellulose ethers could be assigned to the ions of pyrolytic dissociation products which form via the [2 + 2 + 2] cycloreversion and the E_i elimination pyrolysis pathway. Structural information about the residual amount of nonderivatized cellulose, the relative chain length distributions of the substituents in hydroxyalkyl celluloses, and the end-capping of hydroxyalkyl substituents by alkyl groups in the mixed cellulose ethers is obtained. Interference of secondary pyrolysis products in the PyCI mass spectra is found to be of minor importance, especially in the lower mass regions. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

Synthesis of the LMN-ring fragment of the Caribbean ciguatoxin C-CTX-1

Ciguatoxin C-CTX-1 was isolated as a principal causative toxin of ciguatera seafood poisoning in the Caribbean Sea, and is structurally classified as a ladder-shaped polycyclic ether. In this Letter, we report the synthesis of the tricyclic LMN-ring system of C-CTX-1. SmI₂-mediated reductive cyclization efficiently constructed the seven-membered M-ring with the axially oriented 1,3-dimethyl structure.     

MgBr2·OEt2 mediated protection of alcohols with hexamethyldisilazane: An efficient catalytic route for the preparation of silyl ethers under solvent-free conditions

Various types of alcohols and phenols were rapidly protected by hexamethyldisilazane in good to excellent yields at room temperature in the presence of catalytic amount of magnesium bromide ethyl etherate under solvent-free conditions. Good to excellent chemoselectivity was demonstrated for competitive protection of primary hydroxyls in the presence of secondary and tertiary alcohols. Highly selective protection of phenols in the presence of aromatic amines was also demonstrated successfully.     

Chiral discrimination of a helically organized crown ether array parallel to the helix axis of polyisocyanate

The asymmetric polymerization of 4′‐isocyanatobenzo‐18‐crown‐6 with the lithium amide of (S)‐(2‐methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine successfully proceeded to afford end‐functionalized poly(4′‐isocyanatobenzo‐18‐crown‐6) with (S)‐(2‐methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine (polymer 2 ). In the circular dichroism (CD) spectrum of 2 , a clear positive Cotton effect was observed in the range of 240–350 nm corresponding to the absorption of the polymer backbone, indicating that 2 partially formed a one‐handed helical structure, which was preserved by the chirality of (S)‐(2‐methoxymethyl)pyrrolidine bonding to the terminal end in 2 . In the titration experiments for the CD intensity of 2 in the presence of D ‐ and L ‐Phe·HClO₄ (where Phe is phenylalanine), a small but remarkable difference was observed in the amount of the chiral guest needed for saturation of the CD intensity and in the saturated CD intensity, indicating that the extremely stable, one‐handed helical part should exist in the main chain of 2 , which was not inverted even when the unfavorable chiral guest for the predominant helical sense, L ‐Phe·HClO₄, was added. In addition, helical polymer 2 exhibited a chiral discrimination ability toward racemic guests; that is, the guests were extracted from the aqueous phase into the organic phase with enantiomeric excess. The driving force of the chiral discrimination ability of 2 should certainly be attributed to the one‐handed helical structure in 2 . © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 新的酰胺型开链冠醚的合成与性质

Simon在70年代开发了一类酰胺型开链冠醚,能选择性配位碱土金属离子并可作为中性载体制备离子选择性电极.由于酰胺型开链冠醚易于制备,因此受到人们广泛地重视.Vgtle等提出的“末端基”概念为开链冠醚的合成、设计起了重要的指导作用.前文报道2-甲氧基-1-氨甲基萘与三甘醇二碘化物在无水碳酸钠存在下于乙腈中反应得到双手臂的套索冠醚与碘化钠的配合物.X射线衍射晶体结构分析表明萘环上的甲氧基中的氧原子参加了与钠离子的配位,生成了扭曲的六边形双锥结构配合物.因此2-甲氧基-1-氨基萘可以作为开链冠醚的“末端基”.开链冠醚的合成路线是:     

氯化镍催化的醚的酰化开裂反应

在某些金属盐存在下,醚可与酰氯反应生成酯,早期文献中对于此类反应曾有过报道,其中所用的金属盐有三氯化铁或氯化锌,其相对用量较大,酯的得率较差。其后,Alper等提出用第五族金属羰基化合物和酰氯,如Mo(CO)_4-RCOCl为试剂,进行醚的开裂;近期则有Pri-Bar等用Pd(Ⅱ)-R_3SnX-     

气相色谱-质谱法测定电子电气产品中多溴二苯醚及多溴联苯

建立了利用气相色谱-质谱测定电子、电气产品中多溴二苯醚及多溴苯的方法。对样品的粉碎、提取方法、色谱柱的选择、测定条件进行研究,并自建标准质谱图库;采用保留时间、Br同位素规则、质谱特征离子、谱库检索等4种方式相结合进行定性,避免了假阳性及漏检的情况,结果更加准确可靠。本法检出限为5mg/kg,PBDEs的回收率为91.3%,PBBs的回收率为92.5%,相对标准偏差(RSD)为4.3%。与现有方法相比,本法分离时间最短(6min),具有简便快速、实用性强、灵敏度高、准确可靠等特点,适用于电子电气产品、塑料、橡胶、汽车内饰材料等的溴系阻燃剂分析,满足欧盟RoHS指令检测的要求。
