Polyazoxyfurazans in reactions with ammonia

The reaction of 4,4"-bis(4-nitrofurazan-3-yl-NNO-azoxy)azoxyfurazan with ammonia affords a product of nucleophilic substitution for the furazanyldiazene oxide fragment, while the nitro groups remain intact.     

Nucleophilic substitution in 1-alkyl-4,5-dichloro-3-nitropyridazin-6-ones

Treatment of 1-alkyl-4,5-dichloro-3-nitropyridazin-6-one with C-nucleophiles and with ambident nucleophiles (2-azahetarylacetonitriles) leads to a selective substitution of a chorine atom by the quaternary carbon atom of the carbanion formed from a substituted acetonitrile. The pK_a of the CH-acid 2-(1-alkyl-5-chloro-3-nitro-6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-4-pyridazinyl)malononitrile was determined by potentiometric titration. Reaction of 2-(1-alkyl-5-chloro-3-nitro-6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-4-pyridazinyl)-2-hetarylacetonitriles with primary amines gives 6,7-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyridazin-7-ones. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 4, pp. 556–564, April, 2006.     

Toward the most versatile fluorophore: Direct functionalization of BODIPY dyes via regioselective C—H bond activation

BODIPY dyes are privileged fluorophores that are now widely used in highly diverse research fields. An overview of BODIPY dyes and a summarization of the different synthetic methodologies reported for direct C-H functionalization of the BODIPY framework have been provided.     

Addition of diazocyclopropane generatedin situ to acrylic acid derivatives and transformations of resulting functionally substituted spiro(pyrazolinecyclopropanes)

The reaction of diazocyclopropane generatedin situ with acrylonitrile or methyl acrylate to give 1∶1, 1∶2, and 2∶1 cycloadducts was carried out. The products resulting from 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and subsequent isomeriation,viz., 3-cyano- and 3-methoxycarbonylspiro(2-pyrazoline-5,1′-cyclopropanes), isolated in the first step in ∼70% yield, react in an alkaline solution with the above acrylates or diazocyclopropane as C(3)-nucleophiles to give the corresponding 3-(2′-cyanoethyl)-, 3-(2′-methoxycarbonylethyl)-, or 3-(cyclopropylazo)-1-pyrazolines. Effect of the Structure of the Acyl Group on the Kinetics of Exchange between O-Nucleophiles

We have studied the rate of 15 reactions of acyl transfer from O-acyl salts of 4-dimethylaminostyryl-4-pyridine N-oxide to 4-morpholinopyridine and 4-dimethylaminopyridine N-oxides in acetonitrile solutions. Analysis of the results based on the Shaik – Pross approach and the Marcus equation shows that if the structure of the acyl group is varied, then the reactivity is determined by such parameters as the resonance interaction in the transition state (B) or the internal barrier (G ₀) of the reaction.     

Synthesis of novel dendrimers containing pyrimidine units

A novel convergent approach to dendritic macromolecules is described in which 4,6-dichloro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-pyrimidine is used as the building block. The nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction at this AB₂-monomer was used as the key step in the propagation of the dendrons. Different core reagents were used to form the dendrimers, including a 5,15-bis(pyrimidyl)porphyrin core. Fourth-generation dendrons and third-generation dendrimers could be synthesized. The presented dendrimers are promising candidates to be used in applications where a more rigid structure and a larger resistance towards the applied conditions is required.     

硫原子上亲核取代反应的密度泛函理论研究

在B3LYP/6-311 G(2df,p)的水平上,对反应X- CH3SCl(X=F,Cl,Br,I)进行了理论研究.计算结果表明:X-(X=Cl,Br,I)与CH3SCl作用时,实际发生的是在硫原子上而不是在碳原子上的亲核取代反应,而且属于加成-消去机理.但是F-与CH3SCl作用则容易发生脱质子反应.     

Synthesis of 3-Aryl[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>][1,3]benzothiazole-6,7-dicarbonitriles from 5-Aryl-4H-triazole-2-thiols and 5-Bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile

New 3-aryl-substituted [1,2,4]triazolo][3,4-b][1,3]benzothiazole-6,7-dicarbonitriles have been synthesized by successive interaction of 5-aryl-4H-triazole-2-thiols with 4-bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile in the presence of K₂CO₃ initially at the bromine atoms and then at the nitro group.__________Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, 270–272, February, 2005.     

A new synthetic pathway of segmented tri-block copolyether

A new synthetic pathway of A–B–A tri-block copolyether which is composed of a hydrophilic poly(oxyethylene) unit as an A part and a hydrophobic poly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene) unit as a B part is proposed. Telechelic α-tosyl-ω-tosyloxypoly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene) derived from tosylation of poly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene glycol) (PMTG) was allowed to react with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) in the presence of sodium hydroxide. T_g of the resulting A–B–A tri-block copolyether (PEMG) (M?_n = 1600) was ?72°C and its specific gravity [D₄¹⁵] was 1.055.
