A series of alumina-supported alkaline earth metal oxide catalysts were prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation. These catalysts were characterized by nitrogen-sorption to determine their surface areas and pore size distributions. The basicities of these catalysts were characterized by temperature-programmed desorption of carbon dioxide. The TPD results demonstrate that all of the catalysts have one-peak profiles. The basicity increases with increasing atomic number of the alkaline earth metal. The alumina-supported alkaline earth oxides exhibit the same basic properties as bulk metal oxides. However, the presence of alumina can increase the mechanical strength of the catalyst, since the alkaline earth oxides have a weak mechanical strength. The basic properties of the catalysts are strongly influenced by the calcination temperature.  相似文献

Mn-O/ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and were characterized by XRD, TPR and TPD-MS. The oxidation activity of CO on these catalysts was also studied. The results indicated that the interaction between MnOx and ZrO2 would restrained the phase transformation of ZrO2, and raised the dispersion of MnOx species on ZrO2. The highly-dispersed MnOx on ZrO2 is predominant contributors in catalytic activity of the Mn-O/ZrO2 catalysts.  相似文献

The behavior of arsenite, methylarsonic acid, dimethylarsinic acid, trimethylarsine oxide, dimethyl-R-arsine oxides, and trimethyl-R-arsonium compounds (R = carboxymethyl, 2-carboxyethyl, 2-hydroxyethyl) toward sodium borohydride and hot aqueous sodium hydroxide was investigated. The arsines obtained by sodium borohydride reduction of the undigested and digested solutions were collected in a liquid-nitrogen cooled trap, separated with a gas chromatograph, and detected with a mass spectrometer in the selected-ion-monitoring mode. The investigated arsenic compounds were stable in hot 2 mol dm?3 sodium hydroxide except arsenobetaine [trimethyl(carboxymethyl)arsonium zwitterion] that was converted to trimethylarsine oxide, and dimethyl(ribosyl)arsine oxides that were decomposed to dimethylarsinic acid. Hydride generation before and after digestion of extracts from marine organisms allowed inorganic arsenic, methylated arsenic, arsenobetaine, and ribosyl arsenic compounds to be identified and quantified. This method was applied to extracts from shellfish, fish, crustaceans, and seaweeds.  相似文献

The current paper presents results of a quantum-chemical study of the surface structure of nanoparticles of both rutile and anatase crystallographic modifications. Different stages of the surface relaxation are discussed. Water adsorption is considered. The calculations were performed in the spd-basis by using semi-empirical quantum-chemical codes, both sequential and parallel. The results are mainly addressed to the study of the interface formed by titania nanoparticles and a set of carboxylated species, namely, benzoic, bi-isonicotinic acids as well as tris-(2,2′-dcbipyridine) Fe(II) complex placed on the surface of either rutile or anatase polymorphs.This revised version was published online in August 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

This paper describes the synthesis of indium oxide by a modified sol–gel method, and the study of thermal decomposition of the metal complex in air. The characterization of the intermediate as well as the final compounds was carried out by thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and small angle X-ray scattering. The results show that the indium complex decomposes to In2O3 with the formation of an intermediate compound. Nanoparticles of cubic In2O3 with crystallite sizes in the nanosize range were formed after calcination at temperatures up to 900°C. Calcined materials are characterized by a polydisperse distribution of spherical particles with sharp and smooth surfaces.This revised version was published online in August 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

A compact, fast response, infrared spectrometer using four pulsed quantum cascade (QC) lasers has been applied to the analysis of gases in mainstream (MS) and sidestream (SS) cigarette smoke. QC lasers have many advantages over the traditional lead-salt tunable diode lasers, including near room temperature operation with thermoelectric cooling and single mode operation with improved long-term stability. The new instrument uses two 36 m, 0.3 l multiple pass absorption gas cells to obtain a time response of 0.1s for the MS smoke system and 0.4s for the SS smoke system. The concentrations of ammonia, ethylene, nitric oxide, and carbon dioxide for three different reference cigarettes were measured simultaneously in MS and SS smoke. A data rate of 20Hz provides sufficient resolution to determine the concentration profiles during each 2s puff in the MS smoke. Concentration profiles before, during and after the puffs also have been observed for these smoke constituents in SS smoke. Also, simultaneous measurements of CO(2) from a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) analyzer are obtained for both MS and SS smoke. In addition, during this work, nitrous oxide was detected in both the MS and SS smoke for all reference cigarettes studied.  相似文献

Gadolinia-doped ceria (GDC) remains, up to now, the most promising candidate for replacing yttria-stabilised zirconia (YSZ) as electrolyte for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) operating at intermediate temperature. Literature data point out that GDC could be used as electrolyte, anode material, or interlayers for avoiding the chemical interactions occurring at the interfaces. In the present work, GDC thin layers were produced by d.c. reactive magnetron sputtering and deposited over a thickness domain between 450 nm and 5.5 µm. According to our knowledge, the deposition of GDC sputtered layers has never been reported. The physicochemical features of these thin films have been characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Impedance measurements have been carried out in order to determine the electrical properties of electrolyte thin films and in particular their ionic conductivity.Presented at the OSSEP Workshop Ionic and Mixed Conductors: Methods and Processes, Aveiro, Portugal, 10–12 April 2003  相似文献
