TiO2 nanoparticles deposited on activated carbon (TiO2–NP–AC) was prepared and characterized by XRD and SEM analysis. Subsequently, simultaneous ultrasound‐assisted adsorption of Cu2+ and Cr3+ ions onto TiO2‐NPs‐AC after complexation via eriochrome cyanine R (ECR) has been investigated with UV–Vis and FAA spectrophotometer. Spectra overlapping of the ECR‐Cu and ECR‐Cr complex was resolve by derivative spectrophotometric technique. The effects of various parameters such as initial Cu2+ (A) and Cr3+ (B) ions concentrations, TiO2‐NPs‐AC mass (C), sonication time (D) and pH (E) on the removal percentage were investigated and optimized by central composite design (CCD). The optimize conditions were set as: 4.21 min, 0.019 mg, 20.02 and 13.22 mg L?1 and 6.63 for sonication time, TiO2–NP–AC mass, initial Cr3+ and Cu2+ ions concentration and pH, respectively. The experimental equilibrium data fitting to Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich models show that the Langmuir model is a good and suitable model for evaluation and the actual behavior of adsorption process and maximum adsorption capacity of 105.26 and 93.46 mg g?1 were obtained for Cu2+ and Cr3+ ions, respectively. Kinetic evaluation of experimental data showed that the adsorption processes followed well pseudo second order and intraparticle diffusion models.  相似文献

(1) Background: Exopolysaccharide (EPS) derivatives, produced by Alteromonas infernus bacterium, showed anti-metastatic properties. They may represent a new class of ligands to be combined with theranostic radionuclides, such as 47Sc/44Sc. The goal of this work was to investigate the feasibility of such coupling. (2) Methods: EPSs, as well as heparin used as a drug reference, were characterized in terms of molar mass and dispersity using Asymmetrical Flow Field-Flow Fractionation coupled to Multi-Angle Light Scattering (AF4-MALS). The intrinsic viscosity of EPSs at different ionic strengths were measured in order to establish the conformation. To determine the stability constants of Sc with EPS and heparin, a Free-ion selective radiotracer extraction (FISRE) method has been used. (3) Results: AF4-MALS showed that radical depolymerization produces monodisperse EPSs, suitable for therapeutic use. EPS conformation exhibited a lower hydrodynamic volume for the highest ionic strengths. The resulting random-coiled conformation could affect the complexation with metal for high concentration. The LogK of Sc-EPS complexes have been determined and showing that they are comparable to the Sc-Hep. (4) Conclusions: EPSs are very promising to be coupled with the theranostic pair of scandium for Nuclear Medicine.  相似文献

Poly(butyl methacrylate) copolymers embedding bidentate 2‐(1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)pyridine (trzpy) chelating units as comonomer in the side chains were synthesized by controlled radical addition‐fragmentation transfer (RAFT) polymerization. Intracomplexation and intercomplexation of the macromolecules of the poly(butyl methacrylate) copolymers containing 20 % mol of trzpy units induced by CoII, FeII, and EuIII ions were studied in the solutions by macromolecular hydrodynamics methods. The sedimentation velocity of extremely diluted copolymer solutions and the dynamic viscosity of moderately diluted solutions were studied in a wide range of the salts concentrations. Differences were observed with respect to the copolymer behavior in the presence of the Co2+, Fe2+, Eu3+ ions. These differences are namely due to the differences in the number of coordination bonds required for complex formation and not explicitly to the nature of the corresponding anions. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Low ceiling temperature, thermodynamically unstable polymers have been troublesome to synthesize and keep stable during storage. In this study, stable poly(phthalaldehyde) has been synthesized with BF3‐OEt2 catalyst. The role of BF3 in the polymerization is described. The interaction of BF3 with the monomer is described and used to maximize the yield and molecular weight of poly(phthalaldehyde). Various Lewis acids were used to investigate the effect of catalyst acidity on poly(phthalaldehyde) chain growth. In situ nuclear magnetic resonance was used to identify possible interactions formed between BF3 and phthalaldehyde monomer and polymer. The molecular weight of the polymer tracks with polymerization yield. Abstract

Interpolymer complex formation between basic polypeptides, poly(L- proline) Form I [PLP(I)], Form II [PLP(II)] and poly-4-hydroxy-L-proline (PHLP), and acidic polypeptides, poly(L-glutamic acid) (PLGA), poly(D- glutamic acid) (PDGA) and poly(L-aspartic acid) (PLAA), has been studied in water-methanol (1:2 v/v) mixed-solvent by viscometry, potentiometry, light scattering and circular dichroism (CD) measurements. It has been found that polymer complexes between basic- and acidic- polypeptides are formed via hydrogen bonding with a stoichiometric ratio of basic/acidic polypeptides =1:2 (in unit mole ratio) and that PLP(II) forms polymer complex more favorably with PLGA than with PLAA, and the complex of PLP(II) with PLGA is also more favorable than the complex formation of PHLP with PLGA. In addition, the complex formation is highly dependent on the conformation, especially the optical structure of the component polymers, i.e., the stereoselective complexation is observed. The PLGA having a right-handed helix at pH 3.2 formed the complex favorably and quickly with left-handed helix PLP(II), whereas PDGA having a left-handed helix at pH 3.2 favorably formed the complex with right-handed helix PLP(I).  相似文献

Abstract

This paper reports a new polymer flooding agent used for enhanced oil recovery (EOR), poly(acrylamide-acrylic acid) [P(AM-AA)]/poly(acrylamide-dimethyldiallylammonium chloride) [P(AM-DMDAAC)] polyelectrolyte complex. The solution viscosity of prepared P(AM-AA)/P(AM-DMDAAC) complex is enhanced due to the strong interaction between the two oppositely charged copolymers, i.e., P(AM-AA) and P(AM-DMDAAC), which were prepared through radical copolymerization. The ionic content could be controlled by changing the reaction conditions. The structures of the two copolymers were characterized through FT-IR, 1H NMR, and acidic and precipitation titration. The formation as well as the factors affecting the P(AM-AA)/P(AM-DMDAAC) polyelectrolyte complex were investigated by means of viscosity measuring and light transmittance testing. The experimental results show that the composition of the copolymers, the pH value, and the concentration of the polymer solutions have remarkable effects on the formation of P(AM-AA)/P(AM-DMDAAC) polyelectrolyte complex and the solution viscosity. When DMDAAC content in P(AM-DMDAAC) is 3.2 mol%, AA content in P(AM-AA) is 48–58 mol%, the weight ratio of P(AM-AA) to P(AM-DMDAAC) is 70/30–30/70, the pH value of the solution is 6–10, and the concentration of solution is 1000–3500 ppm, then a homogeneous solution of P(AM-AA)/P(AM-DMDAAC) poly-electrolyte complex could be obtained which exhibits a much higher solution viscosity compared with its components.  相似文献

Four cone calix[4]arene-1,2-crown ethers each with two ionisable side arms containing dansyl groups are synthesised. The crown ether ring on the lower rim is varied from crown-4 to crown-5 with hydrogen or tert-butyl groups on the para position of the upper rim. Di(tetramethylammonium) salts of the di-ionised ligands are utilised for spectrofluorimetric titration experiments in MeCN. The influence of alkali metal, alkaline earth metal and selected transition and heavy metal (Co2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Fe3+) cations on the spectroscopic properties of the two dansyl groups linked to the lower rim of the conformationally locked, di-ionised calix[4]arene-1,2-crown ether frameworks is investigated by emission spectrophotometry. All of the metal cations induce red shifts in the emission spectra of the di-ionised ligands. The metal cations produce enhancement or quenching of the fluorescence emissions. Changes in the fluorescence emission as a function of the metal cation identity, the lower rim crown ether ring size and the absence or presence of upper rim tert-butyl groups are investigated.  相似文献

Abstract

Calorimetric titrations have been performed in anhydrous acetonitrile at 25°C to give the complex stability constants (K s) and the thermodynamic parameters (ΔGΔ, ΔHΔ and ΔSΔ) for the complexation of light lanthanoid(III) nitrates (La-Gd) with N-benzylaza-21-crown-7 3. Data analyses, assuming 1:1 stoichiometry, were successfully applied to all light lanthanoid-azacrown ether combinations employed. Using the present and previous data on 15- to 21- membered N-benzylazacrown ethers 1–3, the effect of ring size upon complexation behavior was discussed comparatively and globally from the thermodynamic point of view. The complexation behaviors are analyzed in terms of the size-fit concept, N-substituent coordination numbers, and lanthanoid's surface charge density. Thermodynamically the complexation of light lanthanoids with azacrown ethers is enthalpy-driven, while the cation selectivity is generally entropy-driven in acetonitrile.  相似文献

The binding abilities of a new class of 14-membered ring ligands bearing diketal dilactam functions were explored by UV-visible spectrophotometry. Their formation constants, determined in THF solution, showed appreciable complexation with divalent cations (stability order: Sr2+≥Ca2+>Zn2+≥Mg2+>Ba2+) whereas no association was observed with monovalent cations. The stoichiometry of the complexes formed was essentially 1:1 although sometimes a low percentage (<10%) of 1:2 (cation–ligand) species was detected. The corresponding formation constants determined by computation (STAR program) were in the range 1.5<log?β 11<4.8 and 4.4<log?β 12<7.1. They depend significantly on the nature of the substituents. In addition, solvent extractions carried out in a water–chloroform system showed the highest constants (log K ex) for the most substituted macrocycles 7b and 7c (norephedrine series) with a lipophilic skeleton.  相似文献

Calix[4]arene derivatives fixed in the 1,3-alternate conformation and substituted at one side by four carbamoylmethylphosphine oxide (CMPO) residues were synthesised. Two CMPO groups are directly attached to the wide rim, while the second pair is bound to the narrow rim via a tri- or tetramethylene spacer. Similar compounds, in which two CMPO groups at the wide rim are combined with two picolinamide groups or two ionisable carboxylic groups at the narrow rim, were also prepared. Some of these calixarene derivatives were studied as extractants for lanthanides (La3+, Eu3+, Yb3+) and thorium (Th4+) from acidic solution into methylene chloride. For selected samples, stability constants in methanol were determined by spectrophotometric titrations. Three compounds (1b′, 13, 17) in the 1,3-alternate conformation and one intermediate in the cone conformation (18) were confirmed by a crystal structure.  相似文献
